Sina is absolutely on fire here! Totally committed and enjoying it all to the full! The intensity is gradually growing and towards the end she’s giving hard times to the cymbals and though she lets herself go into the flow the breaks are still so pure and the piece goes on like a night train. Here you can see how Sina does the magic: This is the way she blows the spirit in and enlivens the old and almost forgotten classics. Mike, I have probably watched the collab version a hundred or more times, but this was special to see Sina playing the whole thing. She does enjoy what she does for sure, and you can see it more in this clip as opposed to the original. And I must thank you especially, Mike, for putting subtitles in these for those of us who haven't had much luck learning German. It makes the outtakes much more fun to know what she and you are saying to each other. This channel needs many more subscribers from her fans! Thanks again.

Sina nails the feel of the original DesRosiers track. I love the focus on her from start to finish. In future videos, I’d like to see some of your bts work: the recording setup, DAW software, all of that.
Wow. Sina has a Huge drive to get it just right. That can't be taught. It has to come from within. Sina draws you in with her talent and smile and does not let go until She is good and ready.
I listened to this album(and specifically this song) in 1977 nearly until my ears bled. 7 months later I was in boot camp. It was an eventful year.

I've been watching Sina's covers for years now and every one of them is perfection, the behind the scenes portion shows that she is not just a drumming machine but also that she is a human little girl who just happens to be a perfectionist. I love hearing her speaking in German even though I don't understand a word of it so the subtitles help alot, more of this please Mike. Thanks.

Hi Mike, the only thing i want to point out here in these wonderful additions to Sina's already fabulous channel is the fact as to how much time and work go in to creating each and every cover or collaboration she and you have done in the last 10 years!! And it's quite literally in my opinion more work than any one else could do in an entire lifetime! Then multiply that by 10 years and you have a substantial feat to reflect on!! By all means I would love and relish more of this type of tutorial (so to speak) in the future!! Well done Buddy, well done indeed!!!

Ouch! That hurt so good! Sina redefines talent in every sense of the known world, and I don't see her stopping anytime soon. Being in school and suffering the homework and the reading, hours of it, I then switch to Sina Drums, and I get taken away from the doldrums of life. She covers all the songs I absolutely love. Is it Karma, or, dare I say, is it chemistry? OMG, I am addicted to Sina Drums! Yeah!

This cover,if I'm not mistaken Sina, Sina collaborated with other musicians. It has still been one of my favorite covers of hers! But the fact that you have the video of her drumming to the cover of this song makes you appreciate the details of covering every note in the drum kit... This is golden!

My version of working out the notes in the early 1990s was reading the sheet music at the music store that my instructor and I went to for lessons (I didn't have a drum kit yet and they rented sound booths in the basement with drum kits in them. Sounds nicer than it was but it was still pretty cool in a grungy way). The store had a complete library of sheet music for every song and instrument. Almost never bought any because my teacher could write it out in a matter of a minute or so. All I needed to buy was a pad of blank scale sheets if I wanted it to be neat. He was the original drummer for San Francisco band The Gun and Doll Show.
As an extreme metal drummer this song is MUCH harder than it sounds/looks, great job. You got everything perfect, bass drum, hi hat control, fills, accents, feel... all done with taste and precision. There's no way I could play it as good as you !

I already just posted a very long comment on the "behind the scenes" for the recording from a few years ago. But I must state again: as awesome and challenging as this song is, Sina has (once again) improved upon the original. There are several parts where she added some "flare" and style that I'm quite sure is not part of the original track. Am I wrong? This just goes to show that her goal was not a "note for note" (that is, "beat for beat") copy of the original, but rather Sina exceeds all expectations and honestly takes this great classic song to a new level (which I didn't think was even possible). And this was a long time ago, and Sina has (somehow) gotten even better since then. I think I've said too much, but I really can't say enough. Thank you! Thanks! Peace, Love, and Music forever...
You are right, she rarely covers note by note but more 'in the style of'. Having said that, if she stumbles upon a great fill, she usually tries to get it right...
@ChiMightBReal Thanks for putting a "heart" for my comment (about the song by Heart -- pun intended 😄). And, just now, I heard the original track yet again on the radio (WZLX, 100.7, in Boston)... Again, it's one of my favorite "drum" songs, but this time, I focused my listening on the bass part (which I'm trying to practice and improve)... Thanks to your family's inspiration, I'm "getting back" into playing my dusty instruments and practicingmy vocals... More to come soon...
