Thank you for sharing...something important and special to you. It is revealing of you in so many ways. You give permission to those of us afraid or reluctant to share/reveal ourselves. Such special thoughts you share...thank you.
So amazing...yes, enchanting !!!Love the narrow walk-ways & beautiful cobblestone streets, How thoughtful of you and wonderous as I won't ever get a chance to find the beauty of your hometown. Such history on those doors.A treasure.🤓
What a beautiful tour! I appreciated the wonderful doors. I love arches. I have never seen such a wonderful wall. " The Secrets of Doors." That sounds like a great coffee table book. Your idea is magic! I feel a poem in there.. Peaceful and thank you for sharing.😊❤
Margaret, I have some family members that live in Zurich. Also I'm impressed that they re- built the bridge after the fire.! You have moved so much as a child, so did I. I remember as a " new kid", for me just getting past the door handle, and opening the door, then finding my place to sit...awesome, less nervous with time, and fit in. Then the important stuff begins off to recess to play the ball around the pole game, I loved it and I would play against anyone...ta-da!!
Also the doors of Mexico, Spain and Portugal are beautiful, and usually have lovely tiles along side. I also saw a poster of the doors of Dublin...very colorful.
It’s very beautiful. Can you say how you found this town, and whether you think you will live there fir the rest if your life. I guess I have imagined that it would be difficult to move to a foreign country and live with medical care and all
I moved to zug when I started 60 and me 10 years ago with my son. to be honest I don’t know whether I will stay here forever. Right now I’m very happy here but I do miss England sometimes. We’ll see how that goes :-) thank you for asking.
Thank you, Margaret. I love well built architecture. That’s some of the favorite things I love in the city I was born. I so miss church bells ringing. Where I live now, there are none, nor much architecture. That’s why I love visiting my home town where I lived most of my life but my family wanted me to move by them after my husband died many years ago. I miss it.❤️
What a lovely clean lined tour. Enjoying the narration with your deep appreciation for the history and imagining who walked through those doors. Thanks again for getting to join you for my lunch hour 😊 shari t. USA
Margaret what a beautiful place! Thank you so much for the tour of your home. Like you, my husband and I have a love of old doors. Don't you just wonder about the people that have been in and out of them down through the centuries. You are such a Sweetheart. Love to you from Australia. xxx
Interesting… as I travel I take pictures of doors, especially in old towns. It would be interesting how many hands have opened those doors. Thanks for sharing.
Love a good door and windows. They are spectacular. Took lots of photos of them in Europe. Can you show us a bakery. Are they as good as the German ones? Love your videos.
Hi Meg. Yes, I’ve talked many times on videos about my move to Switzerland. Basically when I started Sixty and Me I moved here and loved it so much I stayed.
Very nice, Margaret. The doors are beautiful. I am thinking about moving into a studio apartment such as the one you live in. I am struggling with all of my family pictures and keepsakes that I have kept for years..I won't have room for them now. How did you deal with those things when you move into your studio? Thank you Margaret.
To be honest, my downsizing process has been years in the making. It doesn’t happen overnight. :-) To start with. I just scanned every piece of paper and stored it on my computer. That took months :-) having good storage strategies is important, but I honestly am not the downsizing expert I hope you succeed in your journey.
Hi Jillian. I prefer to film vertically. It’s hard to combine the two formats when you’re editing a video. But I appreciate your comment. I would love to see a link to your RUclips channel.
How did you get into doors? Do the Swiss do something to preserve these doors because they don’t look ancient at all. Do you speak the local language or is English widely spoken?❤
I have loved doors for as long as I can remember. Even when I was a child. I’ve been taking pictures for over 40 years. I don’t speak the local language here in Switzerland, but I do feel very much, At Home
Hi Kathy. Interesting that you say the town looks sad. I never thought about that description. I think I like it because there’s simplicity about the way of life. The lake is beautiful. There are many parks, museums in our galleries. It’s not really overly commercial and even though I don’t speak, the language, people are very kind and it’s a safe environment to live, where do you live? Curious if you live in the city or in the country thank you so much for responding and for your question.
Also, just a reply about where the people are. I never take pictures of other people when I’m doing these kinds of videos. It’s very intrusive hearing Switzerland to do that so I always just take pictures of the buildings and things I’m talking about there were lots of people around :-)
What a lovely town you live in, full of history and magical doors. And right on the lake too. Thanks for sharing your morning walk with us.
Glad you enjoyed it
What a beautiful place! I love photos of doors & windows, the older, the better. Thank you for sharing your home town with us.❤

Glad you enjoyed it
This is wonderful! Thank you. The old town is beautiful and the doors are fabulous! What a wonderful place to live. So walkable, and so much history.

The old craftsmanship has stood the test of time. Today's doors here in the US are made cheaply. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Margaret, for sharing your joy with us. You are so needed and appreciated!
You are so welcome
It's so beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us, Margaret. My Great Grandmother was from Switzerland, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Love a good door and windows. They are spectacular. Took lots of photos of them in Europe.
Can you show us a bakery. Are they as good as the German ones? Love your videos.
Europe in general has so much beauty and history.America is a beautiful country but it’s tackiness is overwhelming in a lot of places.
What made you choose this city to live in?
So very beautiful! I'm curious how you ended up living there. Do you have a video where you discuss that? Thanks!
Hi Meg. Yes, I’ve talked many times on videos about my move to Switzerland. Basically when I started Sixty and Me I moved here and loved it so much I stayed.
Hadn’t realised you lived in Switzerland Margaret. How wonderful. How long have you lived there?
11 years now, Paula. I moved here to start Sixty and Me ;-)
You are truly inspiring, Margaret. Thank you for showing us your lovely home town.@@sixtyandme

Beautiful! Can you try filming in landscape mode when you are not showing the doors sometime? Portrait mode shows so little of the surrounding area.
Hi Jillian. I prefer to film vertically. It’s hard to combine the two formats when you’re editing a video. But I appreciate your comment. I would love to see a link to your RUclips channel.
Lovely town is this Zurich ?
Near Zurich - a place called Zug ;-)
Beautiful! Where are the people?
i never take pictures that include people - its just not done in Switzerland - especially not to take pictures of children

Thank you so much such an uplifting video ..also interesting vlogs ..do you think you would ever return to north America to live ???
No :-)
Jesus over you and yours 😊. Always a pleasure and a privilege 🙏 😊.
I live in the US. We have trees in our small town. This town has pretty doors but looks so sad. Where are the people? Why do you enjoy living here?
