Early friction is what I have been battling myself here in Ohio, I've switched to weaker balls but the way I roll and having lower ball speed it's very hard to play up the boards the way I like to do. Typically I am forced left even on a fresh shot, I guess I'm going to have to learn to play more steeper angles if I'm going to be playing on 30 year old SPL. I've tried to roll the ball with a more flatter hand and cut the hook down but it just seems like the ball doesn't go through the pins and carry very well. I'm going to take some of my equipment and polish it up and see if I can get it through the fronts cleaner but I'm thinking this may lead to a sharp reaction down lane and then I'll have no control off the spot. I feel like I'm in jail allot of the time, if I try to play straight with less hand it's allot of ten pins or some kind of back row leave and if I play a steeper angle then I really have to concentrate on staying under the ball and giving it all the revs I got just to get it to come back and there is no in-between, if I try playing in-between it's seems over under. very hard to figure out, if you have any suggestions I will listen. I feel compelled to figure this out.
That is definitely a legitimate concern. Have you thought about lofting the ball? Even without moving left, lofting the ball will help it get down the lane further before it hooks, and can help your ball go through the pins better too. Also, if there is early friction, rolling the ball flatter will just cause it to roll out even more, whereas if you added more axis rotation (aka came around the ball a little more), it will help it skid further down the lane, although it’ll create more backend motion too. Those are some things to try!
Thanks for your reply, I just got home from Medina lanes and would you believe? I just rolled a 300 and I was playing some angle. I was standing on board 34 and rolling the ball over 15,16,17 using the ten pin to sight my angle, I was using a electrify go and I finished the ball 500, 1500, slip agent. My first couple of games were so so cuz the ball did have a quicker motion off the spot than I'm used to but once I got accustom to the motion I really had a good look. Don't know if I have found the answer to this puzzle but I feel like I am on my way to figuring this out. Again thanks for the reply and I will definitely try giving it some loft next time out .
Something I find at of vloggers do when they are starting out is they don't look into the camera lens. It looks like they are not making eye contact with their audience. It might feel awkward at the beginning but if you are looking directly into the camera it will improve greatly the connection you are making with your viewers. Otherwise great content and keep bowling 🎳 👌

I’ve bowled in that house , good luck . Love your channel, welcome to Iowa, maybe we can get together and bowl sometime.
Thanks!
