I agree, Scott. Michigan is not a terrible team, they're just not a complete team...like last year. However, that Michigan D really showed up like we knew they could, and how about that ball control in the 4th quarter? Classic.
Agreed. Since the beginning of the second half of the IU game Michigan has been really tough defensively. But, OSU has the best roster in college football and they still loose.
I firmly believe that if college football had an 18 week season Michigan would make the playoffs, we had a very rough start to the season but in these past few weeks we’ve improved significantly
The two best players on the field wore Maze and Blue. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant controlled the line all day long. You cant run an offense if you can’t block the other team.
Exactly- this analysis of just “play tressel ball” and you win by three scores is stupid. Michigan dominated the line of scrimmage on defense. They could not pass or run consistently and they lost again because of it
The Michigan versus Ohio State game is bigger than the national championship! Period! That’s the difference between Michigan and Ohio State! Michigan believes that!
I’m a Michigan fan and this is absolutely bush league, I don’t fault osu for protecting the block O but the ncaa has to step in before someone gets hurt
Correction Ari, Michigan is a good football with QB issues. If we even had an average QB, this team could of been a 9-10 game win team. Ryan Day continues to prove that Harbaugh was right. Day was absolutely born on 3rd base. Harbaugh rebuilt Michigan and the culture and has been successful at the college and pro level. What has Ryan Day done at OSU with the resources and talent there. Go Blue!
Michigan's QB issues are directly attributable to Ward Emanuel. Emanuel dinked around all of 2023 with Harbaugh's contract and cost Michigan crucial portal contacts. Ward knew what it would take to keep Harbaugh, but Ward feared the NCAA and the BIG10 weasel commish, so he did the absolute minimum to keep Harbaugh. It is a shame to think Ward was a M man and player at Michigan. He has gotten administrative chicken feathers.
@@danman1809 Come on. We love Warren. But we understand what he is. It's not his fault he was the team's best option. He did a great job of being a teammate all year and playing his part last week. I'd say that one throw on the goal line was kind of disappointing--like even he could probably have done better there. But even then I wasn't mad at him, just sad at the situation. No one is bashing Warren. But the QB room is why this team didn't have 9 or 10 wins, period. (Well, that and the coaching on offense, which is not unrelated.)
@JuwanDunbar-b6u Michigan won't sniff another natty for atleast 19 years Oregon will Choke in the play offs . They haven't played real teams in 12 weeks.
Johnson bitched out half-way through the season so noone is scared of him...Loveland is damn good so he might have been able to do a little, but Edwards is just a loudmouth who can run fast and is dangerous if noone touches him.
@@buckeyechuck8280 I guess if you think Bosa and Smith-Njigba bitched out then you could say that about WJ, but it's also likely they all had actual injuries that couldn't reasonably be played through. WJ did keep trying to play through injury early in the season, like at UW, but was clearly limited by it. Anyway, if he were 2022-2023 WJ, uh, yeah I think you'd worry about him. But he was out most of the year. It's like saying "what if" about Rod Moore. We basically played without WJ all year. Loveland would have helped for sure but it's not like we'd ask Warren to throw 20 more times because of it. Maybe we just would have put things away a bit earlier with him is all. As for Edwards, not sure what you mean by "loud mouth" but we all agree that Mullings is the better runner. They never could figure out how to use Edwards properly. Only UW and OSU showed us how good Edwards was. OTOH, that WR pass was clearly designed for DE and he wouldn't have under thrown it and it would have been a TD.
@@BenMichigan Butt hurt much?? I think you missed my point about WJ....I said noone was scared of him. He quit on his team, not because of the draft, but because he knew the team was trash. JSN tried to come back for us also, and only succeeded in aggravating his injury. Bosa....yeah, he probably did pull the plug on the season prematurely....but others WOULD have been afraid to face him if he had returned, unlike WJ
@@buckeyechuck8280 How can I be butt hurt? My team won. How did I miss your point on WJ? You just restated exactly what I disputed. "Bosa....yeah, he probably did pull the plug on the season prematurely....but others WOULD have been afraid to face him if he had returned, unlike WJ" I disagree. WJ was a great player on the field. Definitely an impact player. Frankly, my view is the consensus one.
@BenMichigan You sure got bent out of shape about the facts that I put out there about WJ, and obviously missed my point because you thought it was about him bailing when it was actually about him not being anybody to worry about if he chose to play....unlike a Bosa or JSN.
The buckeyes are in serious trouble: replace Day with an internal hire like Hartline who “gets the rivalry” is even riskier than Sherrone Moore bc he has no HC experience. On the other hand, going on the open market for a household name could plunge you right into a Rich Rodriguez nightmare scenario. Tough spot.
After yesterday, i stand with moore to the end now, no matter the results. This year wasnt great and they have to improve. But the amount of heart and no quit in this team is amazing, even in a down year. Yesterday made me a believer in moore for good. Go blue
You contradicted yourself. You said you believe in Moore for GOOD but said that they'd have to improve, right? Well, if they don't improve, then you WON'T want Moore there FOREVER now would you? Of course, not. Face it, most of you all would keep Adolf Hitler as your coach if he went 11-1, beat Ohio State and played in the playoff every year. WHO the man is doing the leading is not as important as the results you need to see.
Day is average at best. Day will make a fair used car salesman in Columbus, just like Cooper had to do after his dismal stint. I just wish OSU would give Day 13 years like they gave Cooper. Day's problem is that he was slipped in as Urbies replacement without the actual qualification. OSU simply hoped Day could live off of Urbies success. Urbies now regrets supporting Day's promotion. Urbies success barely lasted through 2019.
*Coaching not to lose is vastly different, and a recipe for disaster, than coaching to win. That is the reason why Ryan ‘Fear The Beard’ Day cannot beat my mighty MIGHTY Wolverines. Go Blue!*
Michigan is FAR better than their record suggests. Give them a QB that can throw for 150 yards a game and make few mistakes and they are probably 10-2. Their offensive and defensive play calling was poor early in the year. They blitzed too much. Offense tried a passing attack that doesn’t work. They found themselves this year, just about 5 weeks too late. Similarly to ND and South Carolina, although both these teams are better spots in the CFB playoff.
@ yes. I’m not trying to say we are better than OSU or anything. A 10-2 Michigan team probably makes a round 1 exit in the playoff this year, unless we were to hypothetically draw a softer team. I’ll give Sherrone a pass, however he needs to discover the identity of his team faster than that
That's true. They had too many turnovers early and had no downfield passing game with Orji. I really didn't think they'd score double digits against Ohio St
OSU is working behind the scenes to find a replacement. They want a seamless transition. They’ll wait until they have a replacement before they force him to resign
How will that affect recruitment and the portal. You will be in the same situation we were in last year with Jimmy and our national championship. In the pursuit of the Natty it will be hard to recruit. You will likely have a ton of talent going to the Pros. You might want to learn a lesson from Michigan. Day will try to win 4 more games and will turn over their off season trophy😂 Go Blue!
Ryan Day is a PR mirage...he is like the Wizard of Oz..once you get past all his hype PR BS...he folds in the close moments...folded with his rent a QB versus Oregon and folded again verus Big Blue..Keep Ryan Day ...Go Blue !!!
13:00 THIS is the problem with them there’s no accountability just entitlement. “Michigan had SOME good teams in the 90’s, I mean they weren’t dogshit”. When someone can legit try and rewrite history after their rival won a chip, had 2x Heisman winners and beat some of the most stacked teams in their programs history and it’s all reduced to “I mean they weren’t dog shit!” That tells you everything you need to know about their fanbase. They think it’s owed to them to beat Michigan and something is wrong with the universe when they don’t. Get ready cause this is just the beginning…
You are correct, they are wrong, you were dogshit and we are your daddy. This is just 2 year blip....notice I'm not saying 4 year, because the first 2 will be vacated because you're such a class program. Sherone Moore will get a show-cause and be gone and you will have a very hard time finding any decent coach to take a program with scholarship reductions and bowl-bans. You beat us with your defense, and the fact that Chip Kelly is a friggin idiot that thinks it's a good idea to take our weakest link (patchwork O-line) and keep running it into your strongest area. It's not like you were a juggernaut...you benefitted from sheer stupidity from our coaching staff. If any of your players stick once the hammer comes down, you may be decent next year, but I doubt it.
@buckeyechuck8280 irrelevant with a natty. I'm good with rebuilding, that won't last long either. Be bitter it helps us in the long run, it makes your whole program think you aren't the problem lol
@@buckeyechuck8280 Wasserman tried to say we weren't dogshit in the 90s. Two Heisman trophy winners, the most winningest player in the history of the NFL and a national title . Keep thinking we are irrelevant and beneath you, it's why we are having this discussion right now
All you need to know about what's wrong with college athletics in general, and Ohio State in particular, is summarized in the reveal that Ohio State spent $20 million on their football roster and $9-$10 million on their coach. How much better would it be if they spent that money to upgrade their teaching and research faculty? Those priorities are why Ohio State never ranks in the top 10 listings of Public Universities along side UVA, Cal Berkeley, UCLA, UNC, Texas, Illinois, Ga.Tech, Florida, Washington...and yes, MICHIGAN. A top 10 academic ranking provides more tangible benefits to a schools students than a higher football ranking because they get better job offers and higher acceptance rates for graduate schools. That's the reason the average Harvard grad make much more than the average Alabama grad. I think the vast majority of every major univiversities athletic budget should be used to lower tuition costs, offer additional academic scholarships, pay top professors more, and increase research funding. Athletics are important and serve to provide many life lessons. Therefore, teams in all the sports should be formed by posting a notice to all students that tryouts are to be held, and anyone interested in participating should show up at the designated time and place. A school could then feel pride in their teams accomplishments as something the students achieved and not because our "hired guns" beat your "hired guns"...but too much money is made from the current system for those kinds of changes to occur.
@ it’s all because they’re paper tigers every year and all the analysts just expect them to win without even playing a down. They need to fall off and stay off
Ohio State football is the most talented team I’ve ever seen, that is so undisciplined. I’m not just referencing the fight afterwards. I’m talking about running up the score from a victory formation to get one more touchdown against Indiana to “leave No Doubt.” do you think Kirby Smart would do that? Dan Lanning? Sherrone Moore? No. They wouldn’t do such a stupid thing. You respect the game. Then, Ryan day looks on, as Will Howard does the “cigarette stomp” laughing on the sideline at it. That’s undisciplined leadership. And it trickles down to the team. That’s why this team, as expensive and talented as it is, is not going to win a national championship. Disciplined teams, win big games.
“Running up the score.” Trey should have just scored. Indiana went for 2 after a 6 minute drive and then onside kicked it. Fuck outta here with that soft shit. Bad coaching lost that game period. That is fixable.
Honestly, Day’s insecurities and unaddressed anxieties have infected the mentalities of his staff and team below him. The mental errors and unwillingness to stand ground and take a risk to defend a lead is just disappointing. The roster is softening themselves up to match the nervous energy that Day seems to bring to the room. We’ve slowly lost that drive since the Urban days but the fact that we came out slow and got comfortable playing average football is beyond me. Someone with some heavy balls needs to step up in Columbus. We need a leader who understands the toughness aspect of football.
Michigan out physicaled Ohio State like they have done the last 4 games. You say Ohio State is a way better team. No, this is FOOTBALL. Michigan is better.
This isn't rocket science and every commentator is missing it. OSU lost primarily because the field goal kicker missed 2 field goals, the QB threw an awful pass that got intercepted on your own 10 yard line (leading to a UM touchdown) and another interception on the UM 10 yard line (loss of 3, even 7 points). That's a ~20 POINT swing!!! You can have the best coach in the world but if the players don't execute, no coach can save the team.
Texas did it to Michigan this year, but Michigan did not go fight them, that's what you call entitled players who think they can stop a team for celebrating a victory that nobody, even you guys thought they could win,Michigan fan here if you can't tell, and i like watching you guys,
I want Michigan and OSU to have a non compete clause where no matter the circumstance whoever loses the game doesn’t go to the playoffs, I think it would protect the sanctity of the rivalry and ensure that there won’t be a rematch in the post season
Good enough to beat Ohio Soft! If Bryce Underwood played in the game yesterday, Michigan would have won by 2 TDs. A high school senior would have done better than Davis Warren(god bless him and his health!).
Not a fan of either team but the 4 years of losses ( especially this year) is an indictment of the OSU program, coaches and players. My own view is that OSU does not factor heart and pride into their recruitment but it seems that Michigan recruits players who want to be at Michigan rather than just treating it as a pit stop on the way to the NFL. I can understand the argument for keeping Day but at the same time , it is also time for him and OSU to part company as there has to be real change in the program and it is the most logical place to start.
I won’t argue that Michigan team is elite. But I think with the OSU win, the close game to Indiana, and removing the QB carousel experiment and sticking to your guy…. We could have had a 10 win season.
〽️ and Moore deserves more credit than they are getting. They lost 18 starters last year. Moore is basically building from scratch. osu has always been imposters because they can't win big games.
At least Day is handsome; will look good in the NFL say, for Dallas? Or perhaps a AAA team? (It might help if O St could figure out its school colors, too. No identity.)
Almost any coach in college could have had the same success at Ohio as Day has so i honestly don't understand why they are acting like he's not replaceable because of his winning percentage.
The craziest stat for me is what happened in the 4th quarter. OSU played offense twice. A 3 and out. Followed by four plays and turn over on down in the last minute. 7 total plays in the quarter. I never expected Michigan to control an entire quarter in a tie game. 😮
OSU planted their flag in Ann Arbor in 2019, there was no fight. Michigan planted it in 2022, no fight. Texas and Oregon planted it in Ann Arbor THIS SEASON, no fight.
How about “we’re going to win that game or die trying”. How about that for getting back on track. Ryan Day and I’m sure a ton of Buckeye fans laughed at him then. But that’s the answer. Keep at it. Try again. If that doesn’t work, try something else. And most of all, respect the difficulty of it. Stop making excuses. And accept that the guys on the other side are good (or will certainly play that way) and you’ll have to be at your best to beat them.
The brawls don't happen if the losing team gets off the field. Let the winning team have their moment. All of this "not on our field" stuff is too late. You had 60 minutes to defend your field. You failed. To the victor goes the spoils.
Tom Brady did start his entire Junior season at Michigan & he started the games his senior year it was just that they split quarters for about 7 games. Michigan did that because Henson was the most hyped recruit ever at that point he was a freshman Brady a senior they were afraid he'd leave if he didn't play or just go to the Yankees he had a massive MLB contract he could leave to at anytime.

Exactly- and when they tried to pass it in the second half the pocket was collapsing immediately. They were dominated up front and lost (again). It is not complicated yet
I have read some Comments from what appear to be OSU fans. They word their comments in a way that reads as if they are championing mediocrity by poo-pooing away, losing THE game the last four years. What do I mean by that? I’m not that type of “OSU fan“. I champion superiority and that’s what I expect from this “top-tier” Division I football program. R. Day is like John “the cancer“ Cooper in every way versus ttun (2-10-1) and his bowl record (3-8). R. Day vs. ttun (1-4). Bowl record (2-4). R. Day was quoted, in one of his after-game press conferences recently, by stating the game is won in the 4th quarter. That comment speaks volumes about this idiot. The game is won by dominating your opponent, in EVERY quarter.

Day condoning his players attacking people like angry 6 year olds over a flag is ridiculous. Hopefully the university and NCAA responds appropriately.
I’m a Michigan fan and this is absolutely bush league, I don’t fault osu for protecting the block O but the ncaa has to step in before someone gets hurt
This happened at what like 5 different games yesterday? Sounds more like they need to ban planting flags on opposing fields. Lol
Texas.put there flag down at Michigan no problem we took the l
Texas planted a flag at the big house this year. No fights. Osu planted a flag in 2019 no fights. OSU just doesn't know how to lose with grace
Comedy is, he wasn't even aware of it. He was on the sidelines.
Go Blue!
That QB,DW, does not deserve to be called out by Michigan fans. He was in the locker room with his brothers celebrating. Enough with the bashing.
You have to give Michigans defense its credit. They held OSU to 10 total yards in the whole 4th quarter and zero points the entire second half!
Amen
0 pts. In the second half , How bout dat Defense boys!
They can’t win if they don’t score
Go Blue!!!!
10 yards in the 4th quarter.
Michigan was more physical. They might be down players but they are tough.
Not really, both Michigan and OSU are mid, leaning terrible teams. The BIG10 conference is a joke

Watch Brady’s last game in the Orange Bowl. He was brilliant.
I remember watching that game with my dad. He looked at me at the end of the game and said "That kid is going to be something special."
He came from behind to tie the game in the first half.
Then came from behind again in the second half to win it.
??
We won because Alabama couldn't hit a 20-yard extra point to tie it. David Terrell was amaizeing in that Orange Bowl.
Chip Kelly playing checkers, Wink Martindale playing chess.
Just think if we had Loveland, Johnson and if Edward's came back after half. 〽️
"Bosa....yeah, he probably did pull the plug on the season prematurely....but others WOULD have been afraid to face him if he had returned, unlike WJ"
I disagree.
Tough spot.
5 years in and I question Day's HC ability. And he was hired at OSU with no HC experience on any level.
Thank you Wink Martindale! This victory belongs to him!!!
@tracyisbest they still have to improve on offense, that's a realistic take
Kalel Mullings came to play 〽 4 STRAIGHT BABY (please keep ryan day forever)
Great to hear you all lamenting the loss! 😂😂😂😂😂Gooooo Bluuuuuueeeeee Baby!
I pray they keep Ryan day. Michigan will continue to win
Facts, as a Michigan fan I hope they keep Ryan day so we can beat em 5 in a row next year
I can listen to this Ryan Day Slander and Disrespect ALL DAY LONG, it's like an Annual Comedy Show and Roast - I LOVE IT!!! Go Blue!!!
Lol
You can’t lose and then say they are 20 points better. They’re not.
*Coaching not to lose is vastly different, and a recipe for disaster, than coaching to win. That is the reason why Ryan ‘Fear The Beard’ Day cannot beat my mighty MIGHTY Wolverines. Go Blue!*
Day consistently takes the conservative approach. Yesterday, the same as last year, we saw Sherrone go for 4th and 1 again and again.
UM fan here. Please Keep Day 😂😂
Big facts 💯. Day go lose 5 in a row vs Michigan next year
Michigan is FAR better than their record suggests.
Facts 💯 Good to see someone that understands how Michigan football has gone this year.
True this Michigan team is battle tested
Nope they exactly what their record says they are
Michigan was a great team yesterday. Strangled the OSU offence to just 10 pts! OSU choked under the pressure of the the GAMR!
OSU is working behind the scenes to find a replacement. They want a seamless transition. They’ll wait until they have a replacement before they force him to resign
You know how?
How will that affect recruitment and the portal. You will be in the same situation we were in last year with Jimmy and our national championship. In the pursuit of the Natty it will be hard to recruit. You will likely have a ton of talent going to the Pros. You might want to learn a lesson from Michigan. Day will try to win 4 more games and will turn over their off season trophy😂 Go Blue!
He definitely won’t resign he’s owed 37million
With the amount of money remaining on his contract, he will not be resigning unless he already has another job that will pay him similarly
L after L after L after L. And guess what, next year another L.
Those eye bags are full of yesterday's nightmares.
Day will be in counseling today!
Knowing what I know about Ryan day and chip kelly I understand now why Ohio is soft .. keep Ryan at Ohio we will win every year‼️
Michigan actually has a great defense this year. They won the game

An $8M mirage.
Its gonna continue for a long time until they realize we aren't beneath them, never were
@@SR-hf3hx Yeah, you're still irrelevant in the college football landscape...you're just good at messing up our path to the natty right now.
And btw we have more head to head wins, big ten titles and the same amount of natties the last 50 years.
Yeah make a rule no planting a flag because it hurts some people’s feelings lmao
This country has become so soft. Hey, why even play the game AT ALL bc someone's minorly inconvenient feelings could be damaged? 😂
Culture got entitled, lost sight of respect, discipline and execution
😂😂 no they are NOT THE MOST TALENTED 😂😂
@ they have one of the most talent rosters? You know the Warriors lost a 3-1 lead right? Shit happens. And they played exactly how they couldn’t.
Very well stated here--cudos!!!
It’s a psychological thing with Ryan Day at this point. He’s overthinking the game and it shows by the way he coach and how the players perform.
Yep
He was definitely more concerned with proving a point than winning with the play calling
Dang Ohio state is losing alot of players this year aswell ouch
This isn't rocket science and every commentator is missing it. OSU lost primarily because the field goal kicker missed 2 field goals, the QB threw an awful pass that got intercepted on your own 10 yard line (leading to a UM touchdown) and another interception on the UM 10 yard line (loss of 3, even 7 points). That's a ~20 POINT swing!!! You can have the best coach in the world but if the players don't execute, no coach can save the team.
Texas did it to Michigan this year, but Michigan did not go fight them, that's what you call entitled players who think they can stop a team for celebrating a victory that nobody, even you guys thought they could win,Michigan fan here if you can't tell, and i like watching you guys,
What's really funny,as I was in chats b4 this game, every osu fan was calling me and other Michigan fans delusional fans, now who delusional, 😂 😅
Some people are better at being number twos!!!! Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper 2.0😅😅😢
Surprised all that money spent, and day didnt think about getting a kicker.
I’m glad they didn’t get a kicker.
Please don’t fire Day!!!!
I'll bet Kyle McCord is laughing today lol.
I felt that OSU lost because of a "We've Got This" attitude and didn't practice hard enough!
I agree that it’s bad to be overconfident and cocky.
Can’t blame Ohio State players or fans , the weather you have to blame Michigan for wanting it more
They'll keep blaming Connor Stallions.
Actually, 24 hrs in, I'm hearing they couldn't throw or kick because of the wind and offensive line injuries affected their ability to run.
@ Michigan was built for a windy game . They got so used to short passes and running the ball it was perfect
Go Blue.😂😂😂
The craziest stat for me is what happened in the 4th quarter. OSU played offense twice. A 3 and out. Followed by four plays and turn over on down in the last minute. 7 total plays in the quarter. I never expected Michigan to control an entire quarter in a tie game. 😮
Day seems more concerned about winning the narrative than winning The Game.
Michigan had the toughest schedule at the beginning of the season. Not a great team, but better than you're giving them credit for
Everyone treating this as if Michigan is Vanderbilt compared to Alabama…. 🙄 we’re 62-51 all time it not like this is new
The biggest mystery to me with this game, was this....what happened to OSU's passing? Some of the best receivers, bar none....
Did everyone forget the mantra "any given Sunday"??? Go out and earn it
The brawls don't happen if the losing team gets off the field.
Let the winning team have their moment. All of this "not on our field" stuff is too late. You had 60 minutes to defend your field. You failed. To the victor goes the spoils.
Is the B1G not going to punish OSU for a lack of institutional control? C'mon, Tiny Tony, do your job.
Name ANY other coach that consistently does less with more than Ryan......oops let me get this right, Third Base Ryan Day. Name him.......... Nuthin
Little bit of glee from a Bama fan. Our season may be over but Ohio State having a more difficult road is nice. You guys took our best player.
The culture of Michigan football changed 5yrs ago after the Covid season. OSU's attitude and swag was stuffed by Michigan's mentality. Bucks are soft.

Tresselball includes running it. OSU could not run it. They would not have won that way. They needed to throw to their receivers more.
Michigan has a bad offense, they are not a bad team. Bad teams dont have defenses that good.
Exactly- and when they tried to pass it in the second half the pocket was collapsing immediately. They were dominated up front and lost (again). It is not complicated yet
@introvertinvestormd8137 once again, Michigan showed they were the tougher team.
So, Michigan pulls off the upset of the season and all you guys talk about is OSU. Blah. Blah. Blah.
