      Well in my opinion we don't care really. With the NIL and portal the talent has spread out to everyone and once bad teams are beating top teams now. You may have a great roster but so does everyone else or atleast good enough to beat you now.. it's like the NFL now where even good teams have 4 , or 5 losses and can still beat the division leaders. Take care.

    Thank you for your comments about Michigan reading Ohio State and Michigan’s program of developing players. Your comments were absolutely right on the money as Michigan’s culture and development of players will remain strong under Sharon Moore. He is continuing the Jim Harbaugh program and has it down to a T. You are correct that when they bring in lots of talent on both sides of the ball and then add that toughness., Strength, conditioning, mental toughness, controlling the line of scrimmage, both on office and defense, They will be very tough to play against. They will continue to develop tough lineman, and a strong running game and then when they add a good passing game , They will make it difficult for other teams to have success against them. Up until now they’ve done what they have for success without much involvement in NIL. Now, by adding that to their program, they will become scary! Again, thank you for your observations and giving them credit where it is due. I think you are right on the money.

      Michigan really should have beat Indiana. And they really should've beat Washington too. But it is what it is. If Michigan would ahead Indiana or Penn State schedule, they'd be lookin at about 9 or 10 wins right now. That's the problem with college football. The scheduling is unfair. Even with michigan's quarterback problems, they still would have nine or ten wins with those weak schedules. It's a major problem that needs to be corrected.

    I hope the money canon is not used anything like it is used at Ohio State. I hope the investment is made more similarly to Georgia and the way they build their teams. This is more aligned with what made the Michigan Wolverines great over the last four or so years. They invested and focused on big highly skilled offensive linemen, then built the rest of the program around that. A strong O-Line makes everything stronger. That’s what transformed Michigan’s culture. It’ll be great to have Underwood and some good receivers but we can’t fall in live with shiny things. Sherrone is an offensive line guy and I hope he doesn’t lose sight of the importance of a strong line

    So, don’t misunderstand what I’m going to say.
    The monied fathers of Ohio State are going to waste no time in getting the best coach available to resurrect their program. They’ll also make an attempt to compete with Michigan in NIL.
    Unlike Michigan, football is all they have and it’s all they care about. They will not relinquish the perception they’ve worked so hard to convey, that they are the premiere program in the Big10. It’s why the entire pundit class bows and worships at their feet (looking at you, Gus Johnson). They will take our delight in their downfall as fuel and try to hire a coach that can channel that angst into action.
    Who will that be? No idea.

    Michigan has so much money, they will pay players just as you saw with the new qb. When Harbaugh left, he took everybody and everything with him. Moore didn't have a whole lot of time to recruit etc. He is showing he can do the job. Regarding the game, All-American; Will Johnson CB, and Colston Loveland; tight-end, did not play. That hurt big time. Johnson played just 6 games this season, but had two pick-sixes. He also had something like 13 tackles combined. Edwards left in the second quarter, but the defense won the game.

    It’s unfortunate Michigan couldn’t have all the pieces together this year. Will Johnson and our safety rod moore being out the whole year as well. There was some glaring talent on this team especially on defense. I think Michigans got 3 first round talents on the d-line alone. Had rod moore played this year, you could’ve seen 5-6 players selected in the first two rounds off of Michigans defense. I think most mock drafts are severely underrating Kenneth grant. You made the point of being able to keep the culture while paying players. I think the concern of many Michigan contingent is that very point. But, I do think Sherrone Moore has the ability to demand a certain standard to maintain their culture. I don’t think they are going to go star hunting like many of the major programs do. They are still going to have a standard for culture fits. They will also still recruit under valued kids who have great potential while being culture fits.

  • @RonnieLeeDuck
    @RonnieLeeDuck 2 месяца назад +4

    I would issue a warning about jumping to conclusions about Sherrone being a great head coach for Michigan. It can happen where a great coach (Harbaugh) establishes a successful winning culture. That coach leaves for bigger and better things. One of his assistants takes over and they basically continue the success for a time, but they are really just riding the momentum of the winning culture established from the previous coach. After a few years the momentum fades and the new coach gets exposed as being mediocre.
    As an old Pac12 fan I saw this happen a couple times. You saw it with Harbaugh at Stanford. Haurbaugh took Stanford from the very bottom to the very top of the conference. He left and his assistant David Shaw took over. Shaw had good success too initially, but his tenure marked one big gradual downward slide from where it had been with Harbaugh.
    Same thing happened at Oregon after Chip Kelly left. His assistant Mark Helfrich took over. Helfrich even managed to go to the National Championship game his second year. But a few years later the Duck program was a disaster. Helfrich was exposed as having no clue how to be a head coach.
    I'm not predicting that will happen with Sherrone. Just saying Michigan should beware.

    • @bevil4aday
      @bevil4aday 2 месяца назад +3

      The verdict is certainly still out on Moore, but there are some glaring BIG differences between the team Moore inherited and the teams Shaw and Helfdrich came into.
      When Harbaugh and Kelly left their respective schools, the Cardinal and Ducks had stacked rosters. Stanford had Luck and... Gephardt, was that his name? A monster Oline and a solid defense. Oregon had trio of the best receivers in all of college football and a pretty darn good qb (his name escapes me right now) with a solid Oline and serviceable defense. Moore, on the other hand, inherited a program that lost two thirds of its offensive starters and a third of its defense. When Michigan played Texas only 2 O Lineman had started in 2 or more games. The whole season could've gone south for UoM after that blowout lose to UT, but Moore kept his composure and so did the team. So that speaks to the quality of coach he is capable of being.
      Now he needs to get Michigan into playoff next year, or at least get them to one win away from making the playoffs. 9-10 win season roughly, and then we can see exactly how good of a coach he may be.

    • @Engine49
      @Engine49 2 месяца назад

      @@bevil4aday I totally agree with what you’re saying I mean, let’s face it Moore inherited an extremely depleted team. One of the best defensive coordinators in college football gone probably one of the best strength conditioning coaches in college football gone. No quarterback. No real wide receivers. Defense back group sub par other than Johnson that missed half the season. Good running group but they didn’t really produce as expected. An offensive line that was as green as a leprechaun’s ass. They did get Martindale even though we had some good players to work with. He still didn’t have the guys that I’m sure he really wanted. Loveland great tight end probably one of the best in the country but if you don’t have a guy that can throw to him consistently, he’s not gonna be good. So I think it’s correct and saying that this is not the same situation I said this at the first of the year Michigan will be seven and five of course I thought they would lose to Ohio State. And not lose to some of the teams they did lose to like Illinois or even Washington. Next year will be a breakout year I can easily see them going 10/2. 9/3 next year. That said great win to my Michigan Wolverines on Saturday

    • @RonnieLeeDuck
      @RonnieLeeDuck 2 месяца назад

      @@bevil4aday
      But my point is that a first year coach taking over from a great coach inherits not only a roster but a winning culture. The players have it ingrained in them what it takes to win and how to practice. Michigan lost a lot of talent from last year. But the bulk of the roster had still been recruited and played under Harbaugh. So, no, I don't necessarily think what Moore has done so far speaks to the quality of head coach he is.

    QB is the most important position on a team. We didn’t have one and that’s our own fault.

    We won these games with no QB literally.

Y late January early February he better be with all his Wrs and TR flying them out to some tropical city and them working out if he isn't an early enrolly and even if he is he need to do online and be in his development as a qb.

They get 5 stars repeatedly & we survive on 3-4 star guys, we win because they want flashy & finesse players, our guys are tough & gritty, when push comes to shove I want a tough guy, not a finesse guy, HAIL, GO BLUE 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

    I disagree about Harbaugh just waiting for an NFL offer. I think he was waiting to see if the Michigan AD and regents would have his back and dig in with him against the B1G & NCAA. He flirted with the NFL after his salary was slashed and he was kind of disrespected by Manuel but ultimately stayed. He could have left pre 2024 for the NFL and I believe had the University rallied around him Jim would have retired a Wolverine.

      As well as PSU. Michigan won because OSU was not prepared for the weather. Swirling winds at wind chill making it feel like 15-20 degrees. The Buckeye’s used a shotgun formation that had : 2 low snaps, a but snap that took a fortunate bounce and 2 snaps that floated to Howard. I believe all 5 plays were incompletions because the snaps destroy the timing of the play. When a quarterback has to take their eyes of the defense it destroys the play. Michigan looked much more comfortable in this weather.

    Ohio State doesn’t have one player better than Mason Graham or Kenneth Grant, plus Will Johnson didn’t play and he’s better than Downs is to. Hell Loveland probably better than every receiver Ohio has besides Smith. Overall talent is better, yes, but don’t think for one second the best individual players on the field were scarlet and gray, they were wearing maize and blue.

    Ari is a complete waste of sports talk. His homerism makes his takes completely delusional. To say OSU has 25 players better than Michigan is the arrogant mindset on why your team loses every year. There's a very good chance if you watch the draft that Michigan has 3 guys drafted before OSU has 1.
    Look, Michigan has a lot of talent they just didn't have a QB...at all. It was a terrible situation because JJ still had eligibility and he wanted to enjoy the "National Championship Parade" before deciding whether to go pro yet that decision took Michigan a few days beyond the transfer portal window thus locked them into a bad QB situation. But because we just won the Natty it was worth it.
    Plus, Michigan roster has champions on it from the last 3 years winning 3 B1G titles, capped off with a natty....OSU roster has guys with stars next to their names but they're all LOSERS. I'm sorry but it's true. The entire roster hasn't won shite which was s why they folded once again with the game on the line so stuff that is n your pipe Ari.
    The draft decides who has better players not recruiting rankings...and lately it's been Michigan and it's not been close.

  • @Foggydidwhat

    Michigan is JV Georgia. With no disprespect, Michigan should continue its last College football just because everyone knows Michigan was a bad team and undeserving, does not change the fact that they technically won off of some weird stipulations so they technically win championship of all time until the nuclear war or they claim a phony title when the self succeeds. Unless it is taken away like the mid 2000 USC teams, who cares. It doesn’t matter that your team will never win again, your team won it recently. In the BCS era, any non-SEC team that was offered an SEC position would not accept cause the sec is too hard
