2 things. The battery pack is a direct copy of the cold weather battery pack provided by l3 with their nv systems (31a, 1531 and GPNVG18) the l3 branded battery box typically sells for 1000+ without the cable. The cable design is again a direct copy of the l3 design. The mk3 housing will be addressing the limited articulation issue (while remote power in use)
I also ordered a ferro concepts batterypack holder. Helps a bit with definetly keeping it to your helmet, can recommend that if you want toi take a look at that. Plus what I did with my cable routing is that i ziptied the cable on the right rail; keeps it very tight and tidy plus it doesn't bend the cable as much.
It usually depends on the specific device, I also take mine out just to be safe. Same goes for battery packs. For example, I know it's fine to leave batteries in my LPBP-GO but not good to leave them in the battery pack provided with my Jerry CE5 COTI because of its parasitic drain

didn't know they would come out with a mk3 housing. I'm still waiting for their panos honestly.

Smart move with the zips
I know you’re not supposed to leave batteries in the NV device itself, is it bad to leave them in this?
I don’t think so. I leave mine in

How would you set up your cable routing if the fast helmet has no holes
Use gorilla tape over the cable then spray paint my helmet, use scrip, cover, etc
Hope that helps
@JARG it did alot thanks, have you got any tips on where to run a wire through a plate carrier, and where might be a good placement for a radio pouch?
@@Ghost-nw5ec mission dictates every scenario.
Personally I got a helmet cover and ran the wire under the cover or over it
Is this only for I3 devices?
Standard plug for NVGs
Anything that uses a Fischer port
