Thanks for this video It was a huge help! It would be awesome to see another info video like this for fuel systems needed for these cars with the direct injection. I'm still a little confused on what is actually needed to make 800+ WHP with a direct injected motor.
Was thinking of getting one but my LT1 has 110k miles lol. Should probably spend the money cracking open the motor for a refresh / upgrade. Worried this would kill it even at low boost.
One good thing about well used motors is they are looser so handle the increased heat better. Down side is, how fatigued are your bolts. Boost it, and see how long she goes. You never know, it could be fine. What I do know is destroying a fresh engine especially if its over something stupid fing blows.
Could this bolt straight onto a stock 2023 Camaro SS 1LE with the 10speed? I’m looking for a little supercharger whine (like a stock Zl1) Mabe adding just a cold air to hear the whine a little more.
Do we need Katech di fuel pump system or Port Injection Fuel System for that supercharger for avoid fuel starvation issues which directly lead to blown rings and melted pistons aka catastrophic failures ?
Actually running a large volume supercharger allows you to drop the rotor speed significantly and achieve the same boost as from a smaller unit, plus as he said the air temperature is lower because of the lower speeds of the rotors. If I were modifying my car I’d go with the 2650 and headers and significant uprated aluminum radiator/oil cooler/big intercooler. Then add a cam/valve train and upgraded fuel system. These 2650s are awesome. I’m inclined to give these guys a call on my V.
Looking at going magnuson on a Zl1 1LE with cam with bigger fuel lobe. Looking to stay on 93 as tank of e85 likely won’t last a whole 20-30 minute track sessionbut might? What kind of power could realistically shoot for without any chance of heat problems?
@1:10 what are the "correct supporting mods" needed to make that 650-700whp? I have a 2016 camaro 2SS A8 with 89k miles and was thinking of getting this SC along with a 103mm tb/intake
Most people build their cars but don't actually track them. For a track build, would a procharger be a better option or would you still recommend the 2650?
He says a roots style blower is better for tracking it, since it has you leaving corners faster. They're also best for around town, stop light to stop light stuff (if you have sticky tires, like nitto drag radials). He says the centrifical style blowers are for 50mph to 180mph blasts, like for half-mile straight-line races and rolling freeway races.
@@YoursInYeshua At the time when I posted this comment, I didn't realize how brutal the torque can be from a roots style blower. I've seen too many guys mention that it can be too much for a roadcourse. A centrifugal allows the power to come on easier for corner exit. It seems the roots blower will just haze the tires too much unless you're keeping your power at or below 750WHP.
@NightKing114 Yeah, the Vettes are just too light in the rear. The ZR1 aero and/or 19's in the rear is needed to keep it planted. For the Camaro, 18s are best at all four corners.

Granted it was a stock Whipple kit with the stock Whipple tune and boost, stock converter in the 10 speed transmission, but the Tahoe had ARH headers, Borla exhaust, suspension and Wilwood brakes. Then I started reading up on the L8T and thought pulling the L83 out of the RCSB for either a forged L86 or take the L8T and bore it to 4.125" and bump the CR, replace the rods with forged 3.860 stroke rods. Obviously work the L86 or L8T heads, replace the cam, get the modified LT4 HPFP, upgraded fuel injectors, upgrade the low pressure fuel side, with either a F1-A, 3.0 Whipple, TVS2650 or 3100 once it comes out, or like I said the Armageddon TT kit. I'd like to make 900-1100whp on E85 and meth.
