    -------------------------------------------
    The Bunny Tie, also known as the Pillow Tie and by other names, is when the wrists are tied together in front of the body and then moved up over the head to a position behind the head or behind the neck, and held in that position in some fashion. There are many ways to achieve this; this tutorial shows two of the most straight-forward.

    interesting video, esp. for if you 'partner' needs to be controlled :-) , then at 5:54 that is where them not being able to touch the ropes is important!, overall a great "how to tie someone up" video.

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  14 дней назад

      Some people do have a strong need to be controlled. And, by that, I mean that their mind cannot normally relax enough to allow them the freedom to enjoy erotic attention. For them, having another person take responsibility for what is happening grants them the psychological permission to relax and enjoy it. For them, other people's infatuation with seggs is something they never really understood. Then, somehow, they find bondage and are suddenly free to feel. Then they *finally* understand.

    This is anice one reading through them and the website the idea of leaving the torso open to intimacy was a thought I kept thinking about and the bunny tie gives a nice opening to that.

      It can be really nice. If they, like most people, are sensitive to touch on the torso, this can be a fun way to explore that!

    The tie you put around the wrist is a double column tie.

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  Год назад +9

      It is a Single Column that happens to be put around two columns ;) (Just like we normally do when starting a box tie.)
      A Double Column is distinguished from a Single Column, not by how many things it contains, but rather by the number of individual compartments the binding has. If you put a single band around the chest and arms (binding the arms to the sides), it is still just a Single Column. It just happens to contain three columns: the chest and each arm. You convert a Single Column into a Double Column (or more) by adding a cinch between the columns. This way each column is inside it's own cuff.
      In this tutorial, I do not cinch the wrap together between the wrists. You could, of course, do so. Depending on your partner, this can be just fine, but for many, this makes it quite a bit less comfortable.

    How long is the rope you used in this example? And would you recommend a thinner rope for this practice?

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  2 года назад +11

      If you do what I did and start with the wrists, then bring the tail down to create a harness with the rest, than a 30 foot (9 m) rope should normally do fine.
      But alternatively, if you already have a chest harness, you could do the ropes around the wrists with a much shorter piece and bring the tail down and connect it to the existing chest harness.

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  4 месяца назад

      I do include that information on the main tutorial page for each of these ties. (The videos here on RUclips are duplicates of the videos I provide on TheDuchy, but on TheDuchy, there is additional information, along with a picture and text version of the tutorial in case you prefer that to videos.) I have now started also including rope length in the new videos. That said, the amount of rope that I use should be taken as general guidance anyway. Every body is built differently and will require a different amount of rope to do the same tie. For that reason, we have tutorials on Extending Rope if you need more and in Using Up Extra Rope if you have some left over. You can find those tutorials here:
      www.theduchy.com/extending-rope/

      LOL. The people in the real-life BDSM scene/community *are* normal. Statistics suggest that 60% of people find it erotic, almost 40% of people have tried it to one degree or another and that 10% are pretty heavily into it. Think of it a little like the statistics around being gay. If you are ever in a meeting of more than 10 people, someone there is statistically likely to be into this stuff ;)

    Can you explain, why do you often in your videos tie knots close to or on the joints? Like here the rope is close to the wrist. I'm being taught, that one should avoid tying tight these places

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  7 месяцев назад +4

      That is correct, yes! The key word there is "tight". Rope instructors these days generally are teaching to tie a rope cuffs on the other side of that little bump on your wrist, so that the cuff of rope is on solid bone and not on the wrist joint itself with all its little bones. Rope that is too tight on the wrist joint itself can impact those little bones. By tying on the other side of a little bump, you avoid that, and -- if the cuff subsequently moves more toward the hand and ends up on the wrist joint as so often happens when a person moves in rope -- the cuff is then generally not so tight as to impact those bones.
      There are ties however where that approach is not practical. This is one of those. In this tie, the arms come together at a wide angle. (Unless somebody is unusually flexible and can bring their elbows together to touch behind their head.) Also, then tension on the cuff is toward the hands. So in cases like this - where it is impractical to tie away from the wrist joint, or the cuff will naturally move to the wrist joint anyway -- you do tie at the wrist joint ... *but* you take special care to ensure that it is not too *tight*. See 0:59 of this video for that discussion, where I show placing a wider-than-normal gap between the wrists to manage that very issue. I hope this helps!

    Is 8 meteres long shibari rope enough to do this?

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  Год назад +3

      The amount of rope you need for any given tie depends on the person you are tying and some of your choices as you tie. For this tie, 8m is enough for the majority of people.

  • @dazzle742
    @dazzle742 28 дней назад

    How long is your rope

    • @LazarusRedmayne
      @LazarusRedmayne  14 дней назад

      In this case, it was 30' (9m) ... that said, every body is different and will therefore require different amounts of rope. So, as this is a harness, just start with a longer piece (usually on the order of 27-30' (8-9m)) and, if you need more, Extend Your Rope (www.theduchy.com/extending-rope/). If you have rope left over when you finish the tie use one of these techniques Use Up Extra Rope (www.theduchy.com/using-up-rope/)
