Wasn't this game released a year before yakuza 0 though? He's already done all of the voice acting and mocap work needed.
@@sauceinmyface9302 because the original Ishin came out before 0, it used actors from Yakuzas 1-5. people like Takeuchi, Ozawa, etc. first came onto the series with 0. a large chunk of the characters in this version of the game are having different actors portray them; for instance, Kanryusai was originally portrayed by Shun Sugata, who played Hayashi prior in the series, but now he's been replaced by Takeuchi's voice and likeness. hope that clears it up.
I can't wait to see the preformance this man brings with Ishin. He has a very authority type voice and it fits very well with a samurai captain.
Yeah but note he's playing as Takeda Kanryusai which its implied both in game and confirmed in history that Takeda was gay.

The return of Hiroki Awano, hell yeah. I love how his regular voice is so calm and upbeat but when he goes into character, goes all raspy and badass. And glad he lost so much weight, he looks great.

I watched all the Yakuza Wars films after completing Yakuza 0 and loved them. Riki Takeuchi always brings his A-game to all his roles.
i loved these guys in 0. i love that all the actors from all the yakuza games are getting brought back for a standalone spinoff. everything im seeing is pointing towards this possibly being my favorite RGG game yet

I remember first trying to get into yakuza and I just couldn’t get the hype. Then after trying for hours years later the gameplay loop finally hit me harder than the dragon of dojima lol. What an amazing franchise. I’ve beat yakuza LAD, 0,k1,k2 and just beat 3. I still have 4,5,6 and the 2 judgement games after. Each game has bought me 100+ hours of gameplay especially when chasing achievements.
You still haven't finished the hardest mode in every Yakuza game tho.

@@Gigi-zr6hp lol I gave up on learning the Japanese parlor games minus the one you just guess even/odd. Bowling was utterly ridiculous stupid with the physics in yakuza 3. The only yakuza game I got all the achievements was LAD but it was my favorite one that got me back into playing 0. 3 so far is my least liked but 4 is pretty amazing starting off.

Him and the man who plays Kuze often show up on Gaki No Tsukai comedy variety shows, they have a good sense of humor.
He is great in Yakuza 0 that his voice acting stand out the most amongst the antagonist for the entire franchise. This makes the fans hype for ISHIN!

Been a Yakuza fan since it's Debut! This is the only series where I can honestly say that I purchase imported games from RYU GA GOTOKU Ishin back in 2014. It was a blast but I can't wait to revisit this gem on the PS5!

I loved Riki Takeuchi's performance in Yakuza 0. I like what I've seen in the character trailer. One question. I've been told that Riki could have Ainu ancestry. His eyes are Japanese, but the rest of his features look either European or of non Asian influence. Can someone here help me identify his ethnicity?
Both parents are Japanese.
The Jomon people who originally lived in Japan are a bit like Caucasians.
