Although there are still a few "punch list" items that the builder is fixing, we will be moving in over the next few weeks. What exceptional attention to detail! I’m actually not a fan of hard floors (although yours are pretty), and I’ll take almost any color *except* grey. Lol But I do love your particular taste, Ma’am. (I’m sure hubby just said “Yes, dear” to your every decision on this one :)
The floating and pass through shelves in the kitchen are a great throwback. Pull out microwave-never seen that before. Shower niches and bench. Car wash shower. Pocket doors. Dual fireplace. MBR coffee bar. Floor outlets, all of it!
Lights for days and windows galore would sell me instantly. I personally like the old style of homes like the one I grew up in. The ones with rooms all over the place, back porch, front porch, attic, and basement. Hell, even the mirrored walls.
No one is doing that anymore, sadly. Today’s builders are basically throwing together studio apartments next to a wall of appliances and an island, with some bedrooms upstairs and calling it a house. I hate it.
Sorry-not sorry-but it’s still somewhere between ‘86-‘89 in my head. Always.
I already told God about my incessant need for a mix of custom details, oval archways, textures, shapes, enormous rooms AND Closets, and a few other things.
I won’t purchase anything huge, just my own decor-passion project with Incredible detail.
I’ve got it bad lol Also in this head, I’ve convinced myself that I’m the CEO of HGTV and the president of ZGallerie.

I grew up on the East Coast and Mo is from the Midwest where the homes had many distinct rooms and detailing like bay windows with window box seats, arched doorways, chair rails on the walls, and bookcases built in, so I know exactly what you are talking about. Builders here don't really know anything about that! Unfortunately, to get your business they will act like they do, and tell you they can do things they can't do! SMH! LOL to " CEO of HGTV and President of ZGallerie" LOL! We're still visiting model homes and making videos of them because I love seeing all the design and decor ideas. We'll be posting videos as we continue to turn our house into a home (in a slow reasonable way without going into debt doing it - LMAO!) Have a blessed one!

Your home is absolutely gorgeous! I love the view off the yard patio. There is such a sense of freedom when you build a custom home. I had my home built but no way was it custom but God willing my next home will be custom! Congratulations 🎉

Hi there! So glad you like it! You are not alone - I never heard of some of those appliances either until I had to figure out what to get for the house! LOL! Check out the channel for 2 videos about the ovens. One of the videos is about the Air Fry function - I had to see if I could air fry chicken wings in it like my old faithful countertop air fryer. The second video is a full review of the double ovens. They come in a right hand swing version too if your kitchen is designed differently. We'll do a video soon on the dishwasher - we're using it but I really need to read the book and watch some tutorials to figure out how to load it properly because I'm just putting things in there any old kinda way, and it seems like there's ways to configure the inside that I'm not doing. Hi Lori! Thank you so much! Are you asking about the front door? If so, it was done by a company in San Antonio Texas called Magnolia Doors. I don''t have the name of the door style. We picked it out of a catalog that the builder's designer showed us. I think the designer gave the picture to Magnolia Doors and they custom-made the double door based on the picture. The glass is called Aquatex. We didn't want people at the front door to be able to see right in. Please let me know if this wasn't the question and I'll be happy to provide any information you need.
