- It has been 6 months since we moved into our new construction full custom dream home in TX! During the design and building process, we paid extra money for certain features and upgrades. We thought it would be interesting to revisit our design and upgrade choices to see what upgrades and features we use the most and what upgrades and features we use the least.

Windows came in and installed last week and sliding door to porch installed. I hope they don't lock u s out now. Preinsulation walk through in another week.
We are managing the build part time from SA. And part time Illinois. Still have to put house up for sale.

Great video you guys. I didn’t get the upper cabinets in our kitchen but now I want them. They are great for storing seasonal things or decorations in them. We didn’t think of the LED lights but the USB port is a must.
The bar cabinets are nice to have. They include a space for them. You going to enjoy them once you set it up. It costs a lot to have one installed after the build.

Hi Vee! Kathy said that those upper cabinets are good for storage too! We don't have much to go up there now, but we eventually will. Yes, those USB outlets are a game changer. I am going to get some more for the bedrooms. I think the first bar I'll do will be the owner's suite. When we were designing the house, I had visions of waking up in the morning and making myself some coffee and walking out onto the patio, or having some nice chilled wine for the evening without leaving the room. LOL about the bar areas in the game room and bed room. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
