What was wrong with the old air cleaner box? Its pretty well designed with its cold air intake nozzles. Or did you just need space for the nitros setup?
I needed a clear acess to the throttle body without the filter in the way so I made up my own intake . With nitrous you want to spray straight down into the engine without restriction
@@jamesmullaney22 ah ok, so you just sprayed straight down the throttle body then. Did you do anything to add more fuel when spraying? I've thought about using the cold start injector to automatically richen the mixture especially since it can be switched on and off electronically.
@@archygrey9093 , if you look at one of my older videos you can see where I have split the fuel line on my 500sel , I've stolen of the high pressure fuel line and run a fuel line to the fuel solenoid that sprays with the nitrous into the engine , extra fuel is a must , and lots of it . The amounts of fuel and nitrous is regulated by jets that are interchangeable, they are located in the fogger which is in the intake
@@archygrey9093 the new video is up now just because you asked about it , check it out , you can hear it back firing through the engine, I blew a few sets of tyres that day.if you live in western Australia they expect a burnout to blow both tyres and then maybe melt the rims too .... if you want to nitrous boost your car I'm happy to give you all the information I have
I have an '89 560SEL. I would be afraid of blowing up my engine if I did this. sure would be cool before it blew up though. the car is pretty quick already.
iplay withwires , this is my second nitrous w126 , i believe that the engines are pretty strong , this method is used at full throttle . running the engine like this will obviously cause wear and tear , its up to you to weigh up the pros and cons of doing it , my car body is in bad shape with suspension problems meaning that its not worth much so im willing to take the risk ,if you do decide to do it, do lots of research, buy a fire extinguisher and make sure your fuel lines are tight .
