Excellent examples and review! I might suggest choosing a sine wave around 300Hz instead of 1kHz next time, just for pleasantness, but otherwise great review.

Sorry this doesn't sound like my hardware 610. Plugin sounds more harsh especially on the high frequencies. Stop the fantasy. Hardware rules.
