Found your channel and very much enjoyed this episode. Sorry I missed Brattle when my partner and I were in Boston in December for four nights. We definitely walked all around there but not on that specific street. We did spend time (and money) in Commonwealth Books. Keep up the great content👍
I think I recall reading that the Fletcher Pratt book was used by Harvey Kurtzman as a major reference for the Civil War special issues of EC Comics' TWO-FISTED TALES and FRONTLINE COMBAT.
You explained perfectly, that sensation, that connection with books. I feel that also. Even though we’re politically misaligned, I enjoy your videos because of your brilliance, your love of books and words. You are an intriguing character.
I also prefer Ellison in non-fiction, there’s something about his attitude that’s fascinating and endlessly entertaining… and I can’t believe he is not in library of America! You’d think he’d be the first sf author they would reprint!
I have _An Edge in My Voice_ in a 1996 hardcover that also includes Harlan Ellison’s _Over the Edge_ short story collection. The book is _Edgeworks 1,_ the first of four volumes of Ellison from White Wolf Publishing.
Hope you put on your big boy pants and get out of the house for a good time tomorrow. Freida just might be wanting some alone time herself. Enjoy your weekend, whatever you decide to do. 😺✌️
Steve I am a Benjamin Franklin fan. If you don’t miss unhauling it I would love to have it. Of course I will pay you for it and the shipping. How do I go about sending my address to you? Thank you so much. Linda Wine.
I hope with the reprint of the Dangerous Visions series, and the new Ellison’s greatest hits, that a lot of his various columns are reprinted, even if I disagree with him more than I agree with him.

3 days into July and only one Brattle visit?! You're slipping Steve....let's pick up the pace!
Happy to see you in better spirits!

I appreciate the kind words! Although I should point out the obvious: you don’t know my political “alignment.”
Happy to see you treating yourself!

Glad you went to Brattle, it always makes you better, and us too. It was sad to watch, yet understandable how upset you were a couple of times lately.
I collect A L Rowse. I think you'll enjoy the book on Auden.

Love your Brattle hauls

I liked Ordeal by Fire - enjoy it.
July 2, the principal World UFO Day, it seems to becoming more of a mainstream event every year.

My email is right there on every video! But surely I can find you more books, a nice big boxful of Franklin stuff?
I enjoy Stephanie Barron’s Jane Austen murder mysteries.
