- Here I return to the old well I found last year and explore the homestead with a metal detector. I find several old coins, buttons, tools, pottery and may other interesting artifacts of the years gone by.

I know it's probably not worth anything, but I enjoy seeing the bits of pottery. It's like a direct window into the homelife of these people.
Awesome to see you got a nice hunt in. Sweet finds. Looking forward to the coin cleaning video. Good luck Beau
I not only love the stuff you find but I really enjoy the teaching behind it all, showing how to you do it, explaining everything. I appreciate that! My father used to metal detect in and around Harper's ferry back when you were actually allowed. I'd love to get into this! Thanks man! Love the videos
I want to join others who have told you that they enjoy your videos. Thanks for bringing all of us along on your many hunting adventures! It has been very enjoyable. I get a jolt out of watching you find all the stuff you discover! I really like the videos in the various bodies of water. I hope we get to live long enough for you to carry on, and for us to keep watching. Things are so volatile with the humans on this planet !
My husband and I got to refurbish an old homestead August through November of last year. We did a lot of digging and found a lot of amazing bottles, a couple of broken down wagons, and old appliances. The original homestead was from 1853.
***** While finding last years Christmas decorations in the attic,we discovered 2 nails from a Spanish Armada ship that ran aground at a beach over the road.
There is absolutely no telling what you might find while doing anything with your house :)
i appreciate that you shared your settings, that is really helpful to those with that machine. i also like the hints/clues/techniques that you demonstrate. thanks beau!
I have so much fun watching your videos.. when you go "Look at that!" I go "What is it??"
Is it weird at all that im an 18 year old female and i love your videos? haha I was raised camping and hiking through the woods since i was a baby, and i got really sick about 6 years ago so i havent been able to go, so i love watching your videos to remind me of better times. I plan on going back up to vermont with my dad this summer to go camping, so ill have to look around for stuff a lot more than when i was little.
Very nice finds those LG's and relics are awesome!
I enjoy your long vids! You explain shit and give history. I learn something every vid you post. Thanks Brother!
Effay513 He explained "shit"? I must have missed that part. Shit happens though.
They really need to give you a show on PBS your a great guy wonderful sense of humor knowledgable! I really enjoy watching you!
Amazing Hunt Beau! Looks like you're on a great spot there! Awesome Large Cents!
Oh my this machine sure does make some funny noises! LOL
As an antiques dealer who loves old pottery and china, I'd give my eyeteeth for a complete dish, bowl, or other item from any of those patterns you unearthed !!! And heck, what a great mosaic table top you could have made from those chips and it would make a wonderful conversation piece about your adventures!!! Something to treasure and hand down through the generations.!!!
***** I'm so glad that you do. Somewhere in my stored price guides I have a book on the patterns of blue and white dinnerware from that era. Some of it is called transferware, some flow blue, and others are just hand painted ironstone.
Great finds Beau, thanks for taking us along..HH man.
Nice finds!
Say I finally got around to getting my fathers old Metal detector made in the 1970's a Whites Gold Master Metal Detector back up and working. The thing has 2 battery packs in there one for 2 x 4 and the other a 2 x 3 with nine volt connectors and such. I had to get both the battery packs replaced, and put on a couple of new 9 volt battery snaps on it. Now the thing works nicely.
I don't have a metal detector i want to get one and i love being out in our woods we hunt in
Good news. I got it back to life. Just need to figure out the voltage and specs of one of the petentiometers on the thing which it is a snap kind and it is frozen in a single position.
I got my first metal detector at Christmas and finally got the chance to use it a few days ago. (I was so excited) I watch tonnes of videos of detecting on beaches and knew this was my turn to find some goods. At the end of a 3 hour walk up and down the towel line I came back with a battery, 12 rusty nails and 3 bottle caps. Sadly I wont be posting my finds on RUclips :(
***** Better than typical, got twice the nails I usually get!
We LOVED, this hunt!!! Love the colonial period items . THANKS. FOR SHARING THIS!! I had to mow as well, doooogh!!! Take care.
Keep up the good work, your videos keep me entertained the WHOLE time unlike most people who detect. 👍
Another fun video. Beau looks 20 yrs younger. As of last night I've watched every available Beau video.
i just noticed that... I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
Welcome to spring Beau, good vid. Happy hunting.
Great finds, I like the coppers. Looking forward to the cleaning video
great hunt beau thank you for sharing it with us
That was great! Thank you
As always, thanks’ for taking the time to make this video! And I support this site. ~M~
When you started detecting the iron my dog sat up and was at full attention. :)
Looks like you good old site there Beau! Got to love it when a large cent pops out of the dirt! Lot of nice pewter pieces coming out as well! Going to be a good place to come back to fairly often in the late fall and early spring! HH and as always enjoy your vids!
Sweet hunt Beau, loved the large cents and the buttons.
We had a big discussion about oyster shells on the F'burg Va FB page. People used them for driveways and when I was just there two weeks ago, I actually saw the shells used in a cornfield down in westmoreland cty.
Great video as always, thanks for sharing with us buddy!
Very nice finds. Congrats on them all.
GL&HH
yet one more good show down to you all the best from england
awesome video as always, thank you for spending the time to make these i have watched most of them and have learned a lot about detecting. i cant wait to try a few creeks once the weather warms up
Sweet ,Dig ..nice large cents cant wait to get out with my T2 ,been playing with the ATPro both are great machines ,great video love seeing the readings and the machine in action ,,Geter Dug.
I’d loved to live back in them times when that house was there that is. Not the worries we’ve got today. That would’ve been nice.
Very good instructions,thanks
Sweet video, and some awesome finds you got, Beau.
Keep bringing in the finds. ^8^
Nice hunt Beau! I Bet you are glad to see this warm weather?? I know I am...
Nice haircut and beard trim! Now you can see the ground when you are metal detecting.
When I dug in VA, I bought my shovels from Wal Mart. Full size shovels, fiber handles or cheap.
Killer hunt. Love the old home sites. Seldom find them any earlier than the early 1800's around this area of TN. I have been in several virgin home sties from the early 1800's (little ghost town) near where I live and get tons of flat buttons, but can't buy a coin from the period. Lots of pewter as well. Anyway, another great vid. Enjoy, and look forward to each. HH
I have a pile of pottery pieces laying ii my front yard now. The ground has frozen so I have to wait t get back out there with my new Garrett ACE 350. I originally found the spot with my Old Garrett Gold Scorpion. I want to get back to South Dakota to get the pottery chips in a lake. At one time the lake was a big tourist location. The pieces I found were old Chinese stuff with Oriental types of figures on them. I also want to get permission to go on my Grandpa's old homestead. I have one old ice skate from that location. There is also my baby cousin is buried there. I want to place some type of headstone there. It is to bad the old log cabin on the river is now under water. Besides my Dad and Grandparents living there the Lewis and Clark expedition camped there. That is another whole story in it self.
Beau, you find more in three hours than I do in a month! Some interesting items, but up here in MN, I was probably soil my drawers if I found even one large cent. Another fine video my friend and I'll be watching for your video about cleaning the large coppers.
He looks so young!
Nice hunt man, lots of great old house site goodies.. Please do come back and show me how you clean your large cents. I am not real happy with most of the methods I've used and would love to see what you do with them.
I found a pewter spoon/fork handle that looks exactly like the first one you found. I had no idea they were that old. I was detecting a site that is on the earliest map I can find of the area; 1861. Found an old counterfeit seated liberty half dollar there also.
I love your videos so much God luck digging
Thanks for the video Beau! ;) Rog
Great tips, Thanks.
Holy cow you look different now! Awesome finds.
Aquachigger: You see that well? Me: *nodding*
This helped me to better understood my Teknetics Eurotec Pro. I experimented with the discrimination a lot in the last time but I think I will try to check out the sensitivity more.
Great video! I look forward to your video on how you clean your copper coins. I've not had good luck with old coppers.
That would be great, thanks!
Love the T2/G2+ you much have a lot of iron for it to make that noise with descrim wide open. Mine is not usually that noisy, sounds almost as loud as the new AT max
Another great video and great finds! can you upload some of your flights? would love to see and Im sure others will enjoy too!
Thanks, for the ad, my first day out yesterday, I found oyster shell, what looks like bone , one several delepatetated penny, looks steel, but is missing where date should be,, I found out very little history of the area so far,, mostly a wide range of Indian territory near Nashiminy creek, I am focusing on a patch of woods, near there, but it seems it was a dump site in the 60's !and 70's. So shredded foil is killing the batteries and still don't understand, this Bounty hunter metal detector, Hay thanks again..happy hunting.
Thanks,yes I noticed
you forgot to HOLD YOUR BREEEAAATH!!
You clean up good you dapper fella!
Beau, That being a wealthier homestead site, should be able to pull some silver from that site. Now that is the type of hunt area I like, it has potential. Great Video!
metal detecting for mushrooms???? thats some serious kit you have!!!!
This is the best youtube channel
Great video !!
Keep @ it and HH !!
Time to start metal detecting!
Aw man wish I could find a spot like this

Yo Beau, Good finds...brill video, cheers,G:)
I like the hair cut and the cool stuff you found ;-)
nice finds beau looks like you got the cutting done LOL
Cool!
Nice. Say if you ever can if you should recieve permission you could try metal detecting down at fort fisher here in north carolina. It has plenty of things thier but you will have to get permission from the park. Best of look in your future metal detecting.
That cooking pot could be civil war, there was a writers project here where they interviewed freed men and one fought for the union for a while and he was given a cast iron skillet as a weapon.
A friend of mine is in to Detecting. Know I see why. Pretty cool. Interesting and informative video you made. Thanks.
Great video , nice finds.
0:53 describes my life perfectly
Hello, for my part, it seems to be difficult to find with this detector's noice. Isn't it ? So good job. Me too I keep some times some hold piece of plates. Regard.
Nice you inspired me so when I get older I am getting a metal detector 👍🏻😋😎😀😄😊🙂😏🤗😶🤑😛😝

Bryan in Fl
Nice Hunt Beau
I been told by a old friend that when they built a house they would put a coin in the wood part of foundation for good luck
Thats a cool site
Awesome Video
Interesting to watch you work this site. I have the T2 as well, but live in an area that was much more recently settled, so tons of iron trash at the sites. Will definitely give the zero discrimination setting a try.
Have you ever tried the smaller coil on this machine?
Damn good finds
Chigg with a cops mustache
Have you gotten a pinpointer yet? Saves you soooo much time in the long run!!!!
WHO IS THIS STRANGE MAN CLAIMING TO BE MR BEAU????!!! I know him not! This man doesn't have the long flowing locks of hair, or the awesome, manly, Grizzly Adams beard that I've come to know and love! But wait.......I think I have seen him somewhere before. Long, long ago. Far, far away. Way back in my memory I've seen that chin, those ears! IT IS YOU MR BEAU! How does it feel to have the wind touch your face again? It must be weird after all this time. You look great sir! I hope your lovely wife is pleased ;-) I was sssoooo ready for a good video from you! I'd give my eye teeth to learn from you! I don't want to know your places, just how to research mine. Either way it's always great to see you sir! TY! Be blessed, GL and HH!
Could be worse! I raked up my first snake today! I caught it and brought it home....guess what I caught from the hubby after that?! Lol
Nice mustache Chigg!
Nice hunt where do you get your shovels i liked the one you had on this hunt God Bless HH
For some reason I really like this video out of all your vids.
Anyway, how often do,you video tape your hunts? All, most, half, ...etc.
Interesting video.
Hi Beau. A couple of questions for you... I have heard that some pottery glazes (& iirc especially with old and blue coloured ones) had a lot of lead in them. If that is correct, could the pottery glaze have been giving your detector signals? The other question, is regarding that odd little wedge... I've been researching trestle table designs (i may build one), and the wedge looks about the right size and shape used in some old ones to stabilize the long bar. But something like that would only be wood, wouldn't it? So the wedge you found would be unlikely to be that? (wondered because with so much pottery, i wondered if it may have come from a kitchen area). Cool finds! Thanks for sharing them.
Nice video!!!!!
