31:13 in europe we use 220 volt. The big light switches is a stylistic choice, they used to be smaller, in the last 30 years they became bigger and bigger (but the socket behind is still pretty small, is just the plaque/switch that grew)

And when you need more switches, i think they can put up to 3 smaller ones in those same plaques. Google “bticino” to check them out, lol.

That is interesting. In America, it is the opposite. I have been in mansions that have all the light switches in an equipment closet using home automation equipment leaving only a few switches in each room often the exact same color as the wall they are mounted on.

In Spain, the so-called central markets, where food is sold, are municipally owned, and the City Council, which is responsible for the maintenance of the building, rents the stalls to the vendors. Supermarkets like Mercadona or hypermarkets like Carrefour or Alcampo, are private chains, apart from the small stores, which are usually owned by the people who sell food in them, although in some cases the premises are owned by someone other than the person who sells the food, and who rents it.

I truly appreciate your interest in Spain, most restaurants have a 3 course menu that ranges from 10$ to 15$ including coffee, a drink and dessert. The Farm's or Municipal Market is own by the local government but each stall is a private owned business, I highly recommend visiting the markets because they reflect the essence of the culture and the people of each place. You can buy food and property at a much cheaper price in other places, these people live in a fancy place. I highly recommend you to do videos about Málaga, Granada, Alicante, Oviedo, Santander, San Sebastián, Cádiz, The Canary Islands, The outskirts of Madrid.

      @@Ilar-en7lgDifferences between Catalan and Valencian
      September 15, 2023
      Curiosities
When it comes to the languages spoken in Spain, Catalan and Valencian are two variants that are often confused due to their similarities. Both are Romance languages that share historical and linguistic roots, but they also have notable differences that distinguish them. In this article, we will highlight the key similarities and differences between these two linguistic variants, which will help students and anyone interested in the topic to understand the subtleties of these languages.
      History and Origins
      Common Origins
Catalan and Valencian share a common origin that dates back to the Vulgar Latin spoken on the Iberian Peninsula during the Roman Empire. Over time, this Latin evolved and diversified into several Romance languages, including Catalan. The earliest written records of both languages date back to the 13th century, indicating that both variants have a long history.
Catalan and Valencian: Two Distinct Variants
Despite their common origins, Catalan and Valencian have developed independently over the centuries. The main historical difference lies in the influence of other languages and dialects. Catalan has been more influenced by languages like French and Italian, while Valencian has been more influenced by Spanish. This has led to notable differences in vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar.
      Linguistic Similarities
      Similarity in Writing
One of the most evident similarities between Catalan and Valencian is the way they are written. Both languages use the same alphabet, the Latin alphabet, and share a similar orthography. This means that written words in Catalan and Valencian look very similar, which can make reading and writing easier for those proficient in one of the two languages.
      Common Grammar
The grammar of Catalan and Valencian also presents similarities. Both languages follow a similar grammatical structure, with verb conjugations and sentence formation following familiar patterns. This makes the transition between the two languages easier, as native speakers of one can understand the basic grammar of the other with relative ease.
      Differences in Pronunciation and Vocabulary
      Different Pronunciation
One of the most notable differences between Catalan and Valencian is pronunciation. The pronunciation of certain words and sounds varies significantly between the two variants. For example, vowels are pronounced differently in some words, and there are differences in intonation and accent. This can make it challenging for speakers of one language to understand and correctly pronounce the other.
      Diverse Vocabulary
Vocabulary is another area where notable differences are found. Although they share a common lexical base, Catalan and Valencian have incorporated words from other languages throughout their history, leading to regional variations in vocabulary. Some words may be unique to a region or have slightly different meanings in both variants.
      Cultural and Regional Influences
      Catalonia and the Valencian Community
The linguistic differences between Catalan and Valencian are also influenced by cultural and regional factors. Catalonia and the Valencian Community are two autonomous regions of Spain with distinct cultural identities. This cultural diversity has influenced the linguistic variants of each region. For example, the Valencian variant often shows greater influence from Spanish due to its geographical proximity and shared history with the rest of Spain.
      Current Use and Importance
      Catalan and Valencian Today
Both Catalan and Valencian are co-official languages in their respective regions and are taught in schools. Both languages have a rich literary and cultural tradition, with literary works and plays written in both variants. However, Catalan generally has a more prominent status due to its wider use and stronger cultural influence at the international level.
In conclusion, Catalan and Valencian are two linguistic variants that share historical and grammatical similarities but also present notable differences in pronunciation and vocabulary. These differences are the result of cultural and regional influences over the centuries. Both languages are valuable and have an important place in the culture and identity of their respective regions. For students and language enthusiasts, exploring these similarities and differences can be an enriching experience that broadens their understanding of Spain's linguistic diversity. That being said, I won't be the one to contradict you, as I am not an expert in either Catalan or Valencian; I'll leave that to the experts. I can, however, talk to you about Asturian (Bable or Asturleonese Un saludo desde Asturias

There are several problems related to graffiti. First, they are done late at night when no one sees them. Second, the fines are not as severe as they should be. Third, there are professional graffiti artists who do not destroy the artistic heritage, but there are some idiots who think that by putting their signature on the wall they are already somebody. I would make them pay a big fine and if they can't pay it, they should do community work to erase graffiti and maybe instead of fooling around they will learn a profession as respectable as being a painter.

Regarding the rates for morgages in Spain, I got one with 2,85%, but its because it includes bonus.
For this bonus you have to hire some insurances with the bank, like home insurance, life insurance or some private health insurance. The more you hire the more bonus you have for the rate calculation of your morgage.
Of course, they will check also your history of debts and if you are a good "in-time" payer. In Spain its better to have less debts.

So in Spain we have other co-official languages, basque, catalán and galician are the main ones, (there are other languages like aragonese, astur-leonese etc. But not so many people speak them) valencian is a dialect of catalan (altho valencians will say It isn't but😂) is another language completly, It comes from latin as spanish but It's from the branch of occitan if i remember correctly, is like if french and spanish had a baby with a bit of italian, basically Spain was formed by different kingdoms with their own languages and ethnicities, with time castillian (spanish) expanded because the kigdom of castille was the power house of the peninsula, leaving the other languages in the extremes of the country because they had less direct contact with castillian speakers, basque language for example is not even related to latin we think it's an ancient language previous to the expansion of indoeuropean languages (Celtic, latin, etc.) that survived due to local isolation etc.
