    Omg my new favorite person to binge watch! Several yrs ago when I was in school to be a nursing assistant, our professor brought the class in a whole box of different MREs to try at the end of class. Her son was in the military and these were leftover MREs he had stored in her garage. Our class had so much fun trying them out and critiquing them! If you ever wanna do an MRE critiquing video with anyone, look me up! I'm game! It'd be a blast!

      When I was in 8th grade (circa 98), they just came out with canisters of pre mixed Kool Aid, which was sort of like a jar of pixy stix, and those certain kids would snort the different flavors & then get green, orange or purple nose bleeds that freaked the nurse out... Fifty seven dislikes? What is wrong with people. Your ration vids are fun, I love it. By the way, You inspired me to make Bao last week (I’m a longtime pro cook) and the ration videos are just fun. We all hope we don’t get to a point these things become necessary, but its still great. I keep about a dozen MRE’s around and rotating through my closet every year, because who knows, and if I start to worry about them getting older, I just eat them. I’ve been doing that since college, Hurricane Katrina, especially i think, taught us that preparedness is necessary.
    For your next one, you should directly compare an American military MRE to a Japanese MRE side by side.

The texture is awesome and the fruit flavor is pretty subtle so they kind of all taste the same, but I don't mind that because it means I don't have any color I like or dislike more than the others, meaning I can enjoy the entire packet of tart, sour goodness!

    Being from Ontario Canada, it's so weird hearing those candies being called 'Smarties'. We call those, Rockets, which is what they are called and says on the package. Our smarties are chocolates covered by a candy shell. And no, they aren't our 'M&M's' as we have them as well. We have both smarties and m&m's. Both are chocolates covered with a candy coating. Smarties generally have a thicker candy coating then m&m's, and most of us like one or the other. I like both tbh.

      LaMona Niver Oh yeah! I had 4 younger brothers. No sis. Then my daughter-an only child-had 2 boys and lastly a girl. They are divorced now-but your comment is a good explanation of WHY that finally took place. She really had THREE boys-and the "oldest" was more trouble than all three of the other kids. The "real kids" that is! ✌😈😂

    I remember this candy from my childhood that was pretty much just flavored sugar in little plastic fruit shaped containers. My brother and cousins would snort the sugar. Pixie Stix too now that I'm thinking about it.

    The entrée in modern French cuisine. In France, the modern meaning of “entrée”
    on a restaurant menu is the small course that precedes the main course
    in a three-course meal, i.e., the course which in British usage is often
    called the "starter" and in American usage the “appetizer”.

      They are American Smarties, Canadian Smarties are different.

    • @brooklynbaby1987
      @brooklynbaby1987 6 лет назад +2

      smarties/rockets are an American candy. They were named smarties but when the manufacturer went to market them in other countries they had to market them under another name due to the fact that other countries already had a candy named smarties. Since Emmy is an American and eating an American ration, yes they are smarties. They even say smarties on the package. If you purchase the exact same candy, manufactured by the same company in another country they will be called rockets.

  • @bwayne40004
    @bwayne40004 6 лет назад

    Pro tip: It is de rigueur to use a monstrous, razor sharp knife when opening up ration packs for RUclips videos. A big bladed folder you can open with one hand seems the norm. Extra points for a Bowie about the size of Emmy.
