Great to see a Bail list hit the table, spamming squadron orders. Clams aren’t easy ships to fly, I’m still figuring them out but I think they have great potential. Was surprised that nevoota bee title was absent but the consular bbc certainly got the job done. Thanks guys, another fun battle.
Sure thing, Ed! We're waiting to get our hands on the Venator as that will open up quite a few new list ideas. We just got the providence, so stay tuned for some expanded Clone Wars content.
I'd like to have John's bomber luck. Last week I ran 4 Tie Bombers with BCC on a Gozanti. I attacked a CR90 and it went like this: blank / blank blank / blank blank / blank blank / hit + crit I think you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than rolling 7 blanks in a row on black dice.
It has happened to me plenty of times as well. I have lost tournament games needing only 1 more hit and shooting with double dice bombers with t.far and bomber command in range and landing zero hits. This game really went well in my favor between the bomber hits and my ruthless flak killing everything. -John
Good game guys. Another good illustration from John on how to leverage an objective and obstacle set-up to control the battle field... Can't help but feel that Leia would be a more appropriate Commander for the Rebel fleet?
I tend to agree that Leia would have probably been better. In fact, she was in my mind to use as the commander, however... This is another case of "Ken tries to make a thematic fleet work." :)
Thanks for another fun video! Between your channel and downsizeit, I am learning so much about the game. John's list inspired me to see if I can come up with something similar for imperials.
Welcome to ION Radio, crazykev1985! It is great to hear we are able to help you get into the deeper aspects of the game and have you learn a few things along the way. Let us know if there is something you would like to see us fly.
@@IONRadio I have been watching your channel for the last few months and have commented before. I certainly appreciate channels like yours because it is enjoyable and educational.

@@IONRadio Imperial Bomb Squad - Victory 2 with Sloane, Flight Controllers, XI7, Harrow And Auxiliary Shields Team - Victory 2 with XI7, Flight Controllers and Corrupter - Gozanti Assault Carrier with Bomber Command - Squads are Colonel Jendon, Maarek Steele, 2 TIE Defenders, Captain Jonus and 5 TIE Bombers. The Defenders offer both anti-squadron and bomber support. I think it is theoretically sound but with no table experience that remains to be seen. Total comes in at 399. Note: Not 100% sold on flight controllers for this particular list but extra dice never hurts right?
Great batrep guys! Ken, being a Neb-b fan boi myself I love the list. I just wish they weren’t ass.... 2x Acclamators is brutal to chew through for those dudes which is a major bummer. Then those Y-Wings were doing work! You just have to threaten them with Bomber Command Center and suddenly their morale/aim improves! Keep it up!
Looking forward to some upcoming matches and more Clone Wars stuff we have planned. We have a little wait here until they arrive, but we've got tons of content to keep people entertained until then. :) Neb-Bs are pretty awesome. It will never escape my brain though that in legends (EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate) they were predominately stolen Imperial ships. :)
@@IONRadio Love Neb-B in legends... I always hoped there would be a couple GCW ships that would be dual faction to play that out, or scenarios where rebels capture some Neb-Bs from the Empire... Well Homebrew it is I suppose
I might have to develop some homebrew rules for cross-faction ships. If for no reason other than to have Phoenix Nest (Rebel Quasar) as a possibility. :) - Ken
Hi i am building a republic and a separatist fleet. I was wondering how many bombers you recommend for each side? I see a lot of bombers here so i was wondering would 4 or 6 do the job as well or is 8 a must?
I decided to look it up and found the following from Wookieepedia. It looks to be /'tie-co selt-shoe/. It is possible that I am reading the phonetics incorrectly, though.
I did not realize that this was a Danish name. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I spoke with my wife (who happens to be Danish) and I have been corrected. Tycho should be pronounced /TEA - koh/. - Ken
@2:55 Lou Malnati for Luminara ... theres a Chicago word substitution if I've ever heard one. Flying around on the Delta 7 pizza slice
We love us some Lou Malnati's pizza! I'll have to make a Pizza slice Delta-7 now... :)
Being from the East Coast and not catching the joke, I thought he said "Illuminati"...
Why would you ignore John's bombers sinking your ships to attack his ships with A-Wings????

i never get MSU fleets to work, bigger ships tend to kill nebs, cr90s... like flies
I've been playing with them lately after the Madness series, I'll have to see if it is worthy to bring onto the channel...

@@IONRadio I'm still an Armada noob, but I can't figure out what Ken was thinking running a MSU fleet head on into two "proto-Star Destroyers".
If memory serves the idea was to hit the one Acclamator hard and get behind the other. In retrospect, a wider attack may have been a smarter approach.

But..but weren’t sato and bail friends?
Naturally, this was merely a simulated war game. :)
Neb-B are glass Cannons... they either go fast or get exploded! :) Great game though... lots of punishment.
It's those pesky side shields. They're like Klingon D7s - mean until the shields go down...
@@IONRadio LoL totally. Aux shield teams offer a little more protection. They are great support ships though.
That CR-90 was rocking 2 command tokens
Matthew, good catch! We didn't see that during play nor during post-production. Good news is that only 1 was ever used, but yes a mistake on our part.
