I'm an ardent fan of all things cycling but I gotta say Lachlan does more for the sport by himself than the combined efforts of every professional team for the past 20 years. Kudos to EF for backing his efforts...
This film had me in tears at the finish. Riding in memory of Sule and searching for meaning in life. The FKT is secondary to the internal journey he experienced. A very well done film. Lachy remains the most interesting figure in cycling today.
the countless records this man will break that won't be in the books simply because of the willingness to share the story with us is incredibly unfortunate but also incredibly appreciated...
I love the Blade Runner vibes from the cinematography, the editing, and the music. The people who made this film really put their heart and soul into it. I really hope EF values them
Beautiful. Please continue making videos featuring Lachlan. The guy represents something bigger than cycling & I'm just glad you've tapped into it and are willing to share with all of us.
Thank you for this film. Even though I'm into my 50's, I'm still searching. Searching for what I haven't figured out yet. You have no idea how much I needed a film like this. I've been trapped in my own thoughts. I think I will get dressed and go out for a bike ride and see where it takes me.
Lachy is a living legend! A role model, awesome humanbeing and source of inspiration. Don't you ever cut him off, EF! Cycling as a sport and lifestyle needs this man.
Thank you EF for supporting this film and Lachs family. Thank you Lachlan for your courage to ride into the long dark at only a pace you can sustain - and take us with you! And thank you Neil B for setting the stake in the ground for others to push themselves towards…and eventually past. Beautiful stories of the triumphant and fragile human spirit! Bravo producers, filmers, editors, friends and family.
If there's one thing I've learned about this sport, it's that each ride should be appreciated on it's own merits. Sofiane Sehilli didn't break Mike Hall's record, but the insane biblical weather he dealt with the entire tour divide makes it worth mentioning when talking about legendary tour divide finishes. Same with Neil and Lachlan's ride. Film crew or no, it was an incredibly impressive ride on its own.
The filmmaking here is stunning. The use of light, the colour grading, the open shots. I'm sat here in awe of the effort and blown away by the film. This is cycling, this is what it's all about.
This man is an inspiration, so proud of you Lach. As for EF-EP, it is amazing that they support these endeavours and create a platform for pro cycling to not only be about racing but also about being human. Thank you all for this content.
I knew the moment the film crew was there this wasn't about the record. and this video is as inspiring as anything I've seen in the last few years from Lachy... Keep being a legend mate. For Sule.
This is a touching short. It irked me first time but watched again with headphones on and it completely changed the experience. It captures through sound and visuals both the perspective of someone who has just lost a close friend with the nerves of loved ones who can only sit, wait and watch a dot. A refreshing change from a more generic ride documentary - the ride itself is just the background.
I have been waiting for this. LM is such an inspiration. I completed the CT in 11 days at 50 and It is so EPIC to see him set the record for his late friend. It is soooooo hard. LM is a beast and I love that Man. Way to go Lachy!
YEAH BUDDY! So awesome! I appreciate these videos, EF/Lachy . They encapsulate adventures and riding people can actually do versus what 99.9% can't - like ride the TdF or Vuelta..etc. This is what people and brands needs to showcase. Marketing with elite athletes in a competition that 99.999% of people can never do creates tiny fractions of a % of sales. This video. This experience is what anyone can do when they take their PTO or Holiday - This is why people buy. This is something to get excited about! Kudos!
I had the misfortune of crashing a week before VT Overland and wound up at home for several weeks, which allowed me to watch Lachlan's tracker. I knew this was a hard trail but did not have any first had knowledge of the route or the effort that would be involved in completing it. What an epic achievement ("official" fkt or not). Chapeau to Lachlan, EF-Easy Post, Gus and all the others involved in this project - truly inspiring.
I love this guy, scratching his head in the grocery store… lol you d think he’d have a plan, in and out. But that’s the things « slow and steady ». Well done.
Wow - this is masterfully done. I feel like most bike films are kind of fluffy…all of the ones with Lachlan (including this one) are rich and raw. I listened to his podcast with Payson McElveen which was a great complement to the film!
echo about the way this was shot I've seen a lot of biking videos but this seems special and different, really grabs you with what lachy is doing out there, the narration overlap makes you really listen.... love it!!
What a legend. He’s like the old breed, the epic ones some of us aspire too. The ones in the black and while photos, the ones today doing the transcontinental. The ones that sleep out in the wild and shower in the cold or maybe not even shower haha. When is he going to do the transcontinental? Get Alex on it aswell!
You just can’t fail to be inspired by this guy!! Lach - Atlas Mountain Race next? Thanks to you and Gus for the always brilliant films and inspiration.
Awesome i wish Lachlan ,Alex or other members of EF pro cycling would line up for the Silk Road Montain Race 2023...just a dream but Sofiane told me to dream big...
Lachy, you are a great inspiration. I am in my 70s and want to try bikepacking after watching this. I just have to find out how to carry gear on a full-suspension carbon mountain bike. which rear rack are you using?
I love watching these adventures, and the filming is top notch. I don't get these "rules" about camera crews and what not, who's stopping someone from meeting their buddy halfway and having them continue to the end after handing off their Garmin and such? It's not like EF is out to cheat everyone it's just a well documented ride from an amazing rider.
What a herculean effort! Nicely done. I followed your dot most of the way, particularly the final day. I knew you would get the FKT. I'm hoping to do this trail next summer or the following year (just not as fast, lol).
Absolutly stunning and well done! I have this one on my list for so long (not FKT ,just cruising along😁) and after seeing this film i promised myself i get it done bevore i turn sixty
I'm an ardent fan of all things cycling but I gotta say Lachlan does more for the sport by himself than the combined efforts of every professional team for the past 20 years. Kudos to EF for backing his efforts...
Agreed!
Absolutely! He is in a class all his own. And I second the kudos to EF for supporting his projects.
@@oot-n-aboot Mega-dittoes here!!!!!
Hope to see him line up for the Silk Road Mountain Race 2023
Lachlan is amazing!

It's Lachlan's brother, Angus.
It's Lachy's brother Angus. I highly recommend checking their Outskirts and Thereabouts series if you haven't already.
If he doesn’t inspire you then you don’t love cycling, this guy is awesome
Beautiful. Please continue making videos featuring Lachlan. The guy represents something bigger than cycling & I'm just glad you've tapped into it and are willing to share with all of us.

Stop searching, there's nothing to find, it's all just right here, this experience. Get on your bike, enjoy the ride.
Lachy is a living legend! A role model, awesome humanbeing and source of inspiration. Don't you ever cut him off, EF! Cycling as a sport and lifestyle needs this man.
This was so epic! Well done Lachlan, we’ll done cinematographers, well done editors.
When are you doing something crazy like the Silk Road Mountain Race? It would sure be interesting to watch your take on that race...👍
Rewritten the memory. Forever written the memory of Sule in everyone's mind and heart. Incredible effort mr. Morton!
Lachy you are just amazing & inspiring in all that you do!
Hats of to you & EF for supporting you in your conquests!
Legend!👊🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Is Angus, Lachlan’s brother, directed
Gus+ Lac FTW...more Thereabouts/EF collaborations please :)
This man is an inspiration, so proud of you Lach. As for EF-EP, it is amazing that they support these endeavours and create a platform for pro cycling to not only be about racing but also about being human.
Thank you all for this content.
Hope he does more rides and vids like this, I respect him more than any other rider for how diverse and different he is. Love these !!
I knew the moment the film crew was there this wasn't about the record. and this video is as inspiring as anything I've seen in the last few years from Lachy... Keep being a legend mate.
For Sule.
this video/film masterpiece needs to be 3days 10 hours and 15 minutes long, i could watch every second thanks Lachy and EF awesome stuff!
This is a touching short. It irked me first time but watched again with headphones on and it completely changed the experience. It captures through sound and visuals both the perspective of someone who has just lost a close friend with the nerves of loved ones who can only sit, wait and watch a dot. Great film, just wondering if I'm the only one who had trouble hearing Lach's voice over the music?
Same
Not only you, it frustrated me so much I stopped watching. Maybe they watched interstellar?
Agreed
Thank you EF for supporting pro riders on these alternative routes
Lachlan you and very few people on earth are the epitome of what tenacity is. 👏👏👏 What resilience
I have been waiting for this. LM is such an inspiration. I completed the CT in 11 days at 50 and It is so EPIC to see him set the record for his late friend. It is soooooo hard. LM is a beast and I love that Man. Way to go Lachy!
Superb. Lachlan consistently the coolest guy in cycling.
I love this man
Absolutely stellar. Sule would be so proud. Film crew or no film crew, that is the FKT.
It's the FKT whether the contrived "rules" deem it so or not. I'm sure I'm not alone in that thought. Amazing effort!

The most laidback, coolest guy in cycling today.
Magical. These experiences are what make life. Beautiful film.
So good. Good enough for me to cancel all my plans this weekend, lift my mtb down from the wall and wonder why riding it wasn’t the plan all along!
Beatiful inspiration Mr Morton, bravo and gracias...

@@EFProCycling I always space out in the candy isle, on a ride.
Dealing with a memory that never forgets........ Great job

Amazing FKT feat! LM thanks for sharing so much ... RIP Sule
Anything lachy. Id watch him knit a jumper!!! X
I would follow him anywhere.
Lachlan will have his own unique section in the cycling hall of fame.
Yet another inspiring Lachlan Morton adventure. He must raise the downcast spirits of countless people. Wonderful. Great filming too

Beautiful documentation of a grand and inspiring effort. The videography is stunning! Great job!
Respect! For the effort of both rider and crew!
Keep going Lachlan, that is so inspiring to watch and to hear your thoughts throughout is fantastic.
55 seconds in and I'm cheering like this is going to be the heavy weight fight I know it will be! LETS GO!!!!!
That is a next level athlete, one bad SOB!!!!

The immense depth of strength in Lachlan’s legs is second only to the strength of his mind
Thereabouts previous films are all bangers aswell
Awesome i wish Lachlan ,Alex or other members of EF pro cycling would line up for the Silk Road Montain Race 2023...just a dream but Sofiane told me to dream big...

Such a great story…love LM
Absolutely epic 🎉 this guy is the real deal
Absolutely amazing Lachlan, fair play.
Big love ❤️🏁🏁🏁🏁
Lachy, you are a great inspiration. I am in my 70s and want to try bikepacking after watching this. I just have to find out how to carry gear on a full-suspension carbon mountain bike. which rear rack are you using?
It's a Tailfin
I love watching these adventures, and the filming is top notch.
