    Diesels are great but they HATE short low temp around town driving .. which we've learned the hard way. Diesels love to do decent runs, with decent temperatures ... if you are doing short (5 - 20 minute) trips and then shutting them down ... they don't respond well, gumming up, clogging, various gunk related problems, - and if it has DPF / Ad Blue / Soot Collection mechanisms then it get even worse.
    We have a twin turbo diesel and it's an awesome drive, but its costing a bomb in issues due to being driven 90% 5-15 minute long trips and never highways or hauls.

      Once the warranty is up and the DPF fails im cutting it out and reprogramming 😏

    As GDi/FSi/TFSi are actually gasoline adopting diesel, the much higher torque, better fuel economy vs gasoline non gdi, also the $$$ slow moving parts as diesel to withstand the pressure and torque, and still retain the disadvantage of 30% due to requried ignition system which diesel don't have.

    The 2.5 GDi only has 6 more HP than the 1.6T-GDI. The 2.0 GDI has 14 less. Why are some countries not offered the 1.6T engine, is it expectation that all customers in some countries will need higher towing capacity?

      Diesel is more powerful with higher torque moment. And has a turbine boost. Of course it will be more faster. But in my opinion 2.0 petrol atmosphere engine without any turbine shows nice performance. Especially in term of price.

      @Tiger Flyer Channel ok so a turbo 2.5 CX-5 is ok since it does 7.7, same with the ugly juke nismo manual which does 7.2

      The turbo diesel model has decent amount of torque to help cope with varying traffic conditions. However, drivers of the petrol variant will notice the lack of acceleration during simple overtaking or pulling out and trying to keep up with the flow of traffic.

    • @ASHERTESTIFY
      @ASHERTESTIFY 6 лет назад

      @@Alex-wh2ud totally agree I don't see any point of owning an SUV if you don't go off road or you load so much stuff at the back, rather go for a commodure or a camry considering what you pay for is almost the same with SUVs but with low gravity and decent acceleration, that's rather safe.
