I understand how you are feeling Sean. Recently our neighbour 3 doors up was tragically killed in a horrible car crash, he went through the windscreen, no seat belt, silly fool. We didn't know him well, but he always had a smile and a wave and two days before, I bumped into him and asked "How have you been?" and with the brightest smile he said "Never better, ne-ver better!" I will remember that moment as long as live ...and the bright smile on his face. We are here for a reason, make it the BEST reason possible! 💕
Like your channel very much. Born and raised in Manchester, presently living on the west coast of Canada. Happy memories of us 4 kids, Man and Dad camping in Wales. So beautiful. Wish I had done things differently. I am old now but would move there in a heartbeat if I had the money. I miss the magic of Wales.Good luck with the veggies !
I grew up in the 70s playing on the mountains of the Ebbw valley surrounding Cwm. We made dams, looked for fossils, picked wimberries and had lovely walks. Wonderful days.
Honestly, eating healthily and exercising makes the years you've got much, much better. Feeling good is much more of pleasure than eating a slice of cake or whatever. Being pain free and full of energy allows you to enjoy working in your garden, taking walks, and cuddling with your kitties. I think that's the point.
Always room for treats Sean. Its all about balance but yes, exercise and the outdoors does wonders. I got a hybrid e bike and it has changed my life. You still get the exercise but with a further reach of adventures.
Hi Sean! I was in the UK a lot between 1981 and 2019. I studied law and did an internship (in the early 90s) in a fancy law firm in London in a beautiful Georgian Building. I have English friends, but since Covid they seem to be withdrawing from me because I'm probably a critical person who can't be obedient .. I miss the UK a lot! I like your way of life, the picturesque, your sense of tradition and the landscape and architecture. I wish I could visit the UK again when I'm older. The lovely memories ... I wish you the very best, Sean! Love from Germany
Hello Sean Such a lovely gesture to put flowers at the backdoor, it's very respectful and shows that she was well thought of 💜 I was inspired to write a poem last night, it seems quite apt for this moment Depression's cloak Winter upon us, take a walk in the park Depression's cloak hangs around me,so dark The wind is biting, I can't wait for the spring, The flowers will grow and the birds cheerfully sing The depression stays with me but I shall survive, I just need to Feel grateful that I am alive It's hard living with it, a statement so true You are probably thinking you're glad it's not you Time is a healer, the sadness will go So fight off these demons, and let happiness grow Take care Sean 💜
@RaymondWilliams-od6ib thank you for the compliment, I have thought about publishing, but I wouldn't know the first thing of how to go about it, thank you for asking 😌
Our childhood friends, shared some of the same amazing moments and memories that shaped our lives.too. There will always be that connection.... a kindred spirit... I'm sure she felt the same about you.....and would want to thank you for being you....and enjoyed your company too. and would only wish you to be happy....and carry on, and enjoying your life....❤ You have a good heart Sean, and are a gift to those who know ya.....sending hugs, and Im sorry for your loss. But be grateful you came home, and had this year to reconnect..
Sean! A lovely picture just now at the beginning of this video. A lovely black cat! Not sure which of the two sisters it is. I’ve just lost the last of my 3 cats, so this bought joy to my heart. May we see more of the cats? Not that I don’t find your videos, informative, humorous, comforting, and your handsome self a joy to behold. It’s just that I am missing a cat, especially on the bed at night. When you wake up in the middle of the night, it’s pitch black, freezing cold, you’re dying for a wee but don’t want to leave the warm bed, it was so nice to reach out a hand and feel warm fur. My husband died in his forties so I have been alone a long time. Many times your videos have lifted my depression that comes and goes as it will. Thank you dear friend and handsome Prince!
Thank you Caroline, you dear soul, for your kind words. Why do people say, “Oh God, it’s only a cat!” When you live alone an animal is everything, a comfort, a friend, a confidante, a companion. When hearing from some human beings you meet, you come to the conclusion that a cat of any sort beats them hands down.
I am sorry about your friend passing. That is a beautiful tribute to place flowers on her back door. She will be very well remembered. We used Big Chief tablets if first grade and they bring special memories to mind. If you write a book about growing up in South Wales I would love a copy! The garden channel sounds great. I know I will learn a lot by watching. Yes, Sean, keep doing what you need to do and we are inspired to do the same.
Sorry about your friend's passing. I just learned of the passing of a lovely woman, aged 98, over a year ago. She was very special, always encouraging and welcoming. If I smell Chanel Number 5, I will know she is close by. It's inevitable that we lose these people as time goes by, but that doesn't make it any easier. Putting flowers where she used to be is perfect. Enjoy your books and cats, Sean. And have that piece of cake!
I am of that postwar generation who is next for the chop. I have lost most of my friends and some have horrid illnesses like dementia. To keep sadness at bay you have to keep interested in all sorts😊😊
Sean I’m so sorry for your loss. I agree that when we lose someone it’s a visceral reminder of how fleeting life can be. This past summer my partner and I lost a lot of people in a 2 month span. It was brutal. But I am certainly recalling them as an inspiration to live, to be present and enjoy life!
I've always felt when you lose someone physically. They are gone but they are all around us. In the rays of sun that come down from the sky and the leaves that rustle in the trees snowflakes that fall to THE ground. You just have to listen and keep your eyes open. They are here with us. In my heart that's the way I feel. I feel God didn't go through all of that work of creating man and woman to just let it end like that. There is something beyond must have some kind of hope.❤😊
Sorry to hear that your lovely neighbour passed away Sean. I find that Winter is hard on older people. Treasure your memories of her. I've been following your channel for a year now and I always look forward to the next video!
I’m sorry for your loss . The lady was a grand lady . She was well loved and I am so glad she is remembered. I will say a prayer for her and her family and friends .
Great to see you Sean, so sorry for the loss of your friend. How lovely the flowers left at the back door, sincere condolences. Glad your keeping this channel as is. Even though I used to love gardening, I no longer have one. So I'm really loving the mix you do, home, gardening, walks, holidays. So varied and really enjoy all the content. So thank you🐞
Just turned midnight here in BC. So good early morning. I will definitely join you for your gardening channel. Even though I am in my 70’s I still love my garden and in the spring planting my vegs. Makes me happy when I can go out and pick my tomatoes, cukes, carrots, lettuce , spinach etc. - fresh and delicious. Always ready to learn something new. Thank you Sean for all the work and time you put into your channels. 💕👍🏻 So sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. Leaving flowers at her back door is such a thoughtful tribute to this special lady. 💐
Hi Colleen, I'm over on the Island and turned 80 last year. Still planning my garden but turning the beds into perennial foods now. Seeds will be grown in pots. Good luck with oyur garden!
@ Hello Barbara. If you are on Vancouver island…I know the area well from Nanaimo up to Campbell River. Good luck with your garden. I grow many veggies in grow bags. They are easy to move around and I have had great success with them. Good luck with your garden too this Spring.
@@colleenmckinlay2916 Hi Colleen - that's where I am. Smack in the middle east to west and north to south. I'm ordering seeds and doing some cold treatment of some that need it before planting. Looking forward to spring. Apparently, winter is going to start tomorrow.
I always enjoy watching your channel. I started to watch it because I wanted to see what Wales was like, as some of my ancestors came from Wales. I remember my Mum talking about the Miners and making us Welsh Pastes. I have learned a far amount from you and the way you explained why the flooding was so bad due to the trees being taken down. Plus other interesting information about living in Wales. By adding another channel, just for the gardening, is a good idea. I love gardening too, so I will definitely watch. Thank you Sean. I'm sorry about the lady who recently passed on to the next life, but personally I believe that our spiritual selves continue on, and we will see our loved ones and friends and neighbors again after we move forward from mortality. Making the most of the time we have is important and we do need to take care of our health, so don't give up on your healthy eating. You might live to be 100+ years and you want to be able to get around and enjoy life even at that age. Keep up the good work, you're doing great and inspire others to do the same.❤
Sorry about yr friend Sean. The flowers at back gate sound lovely . My very good friend husband passed suddenly Friday got up to go to work dudnt feel well and lay down for hour children couldn't wake him .
It always seems like such a shock when someone you know and see frequently suddenly passes. So sorry for your loss. Quite a stab in the heart. Very sad. She might have had some illness you didn't know about. As far as weight loss goes, you will feel much more sprightly when you lose a bunch. Happier knees. I have lost 25+ lbs more or less by force. I have a hiatal hernia that is slated for repair. So I can only eat small amounts. Like soups, smoothies etc. After the surgery, portion control will have to be a way of life. The up side; my knees feel much better and I bounce around like a teenager. 🇨🇦👍😽
I was born in Virginia even though the Walton’s did not own a mountain and lived in town I can tell you the area the story is based on is beautiful! Someday maybe you can travel to Virginia and take a drive down the skyline drive! Great hiking trails but don’t expect nothing exciting going on just peace and quiet and tons of wildlife. More than likely you will see a black bear because they love the tourists and treats. Of course don’t feed them but they will come close and if you clap your hands it’s a signal I don’t have anything so go away.
Sorry to hear about your friend life is so short I don't know about you sean but growing up relatives and neighbours always seemed to be around. Stop looking at comments that bring you down just press delete.like the writing pads and pencils and pictures of your previous job bet you have met a lot of interesting people.when your feeling low remember you have a wonderful channel we all like and look forward to watching.
Since retiring, I have been making a note of what I eat at each of the 3 meals and anything extra I eat during the day, this has helped me with meal plans. I try and go out every day and write down my walks. If I don't go out I have started doing exercises in the house during adverts at night on tv. Looking forward to seeing your paths and the roof on the shed being finished xx
that's the good weed barrier. Doesn't stop airborne weeds from taking hold but they are easy to pull out with that barrier down. I started the day with a tea made from one Yorkshire tea bag and one lemon and ginger tea bag - made a pot and drank the entire thing. Good to heal the liver.
Hi Sean, sorry to hear of your friend passing. I think the flowers at the back gate is a lovely gesture. We had our neighbour across the road pass away a couple of weeks ago. My partner knew him right from a young lad, from all those years ago so very sad. I used to help the gentleman with his weeding outside his garden wall, I would just do it when I felt it was necessary just to help out. I still help the other elderly folk in the road. He got more frail in the last year and I'd often see him standing in his front garden but not able to do much, the brain was willing and all that, it was heartbreaking, so i'd pop across and offer help but usually we'd end up chatting over a cuppa. It seems strange not to see him now. Re your new gardening Channel, I have already subscribed! I shall definitely be looking forward to your advice. I think that's a fab idea Sean! 👍🏻🙂 Glad you got your flood sorted, we had something similar happen years ago - just as an idea you could put your dehumidifier in there with the loo seat down to help dry it out quicker? 👍🏻 Anyway, take care and good luck with the new Channel! 🙂
Good morning Sean, sorry to hear the sad news about your friend’s passing. Glad to see you seem to be feeling a bit better though. I will subscribe to your gardening channel as I have watched all your old allotment videos and enjoyed them very much, although I never had an interest in growing veg myself! I did enjoy my garden though until it got taken over, back and front, by Horsetail - need I say more.
Good post Sean with you just starting to get your plot up and running it would be nice to see the break down of the costs things are so expensive now i have had my plot for just over a year now and it has been an expensive excersise
Morning to you Sean.sat here in the kitchen looking out as the rain comes down listening to life’s ups and downs.summers just around the corner my friend.🫶✌️🙏🏴
Sorry for the loss of your friend Sean, I would imagine the connection you had with her was greater because of the link to your cousin, to whom you seem to have had a very deep affection for. I would say in regard to eating what you want, yes we all go sooner or later, however , I do think if you are careful about what you eat, you have a better quality of that life. I was in the same situation as you, I managed to get the weight off and now am in what is called maintenance, which I have managed to sustain now for over six months. Once you reach this point you can have the odd treat, but mustn’t go back to old habits. I struggled after Christmas as I had been allowing a few too many treats and had felt my self slipping back, so had to make a conscious effort for a couple of weeks and managed to get the little bit I had put on back off and I just feel so much better when I stop eating all the crap. Sugar and carbs are so addictive. I make myself some sugar free treats to last the week so I still think I am having a treat, I also steam cauliflower with my small amount of potato as it tricks my brain into thinking I am having all potato. I do the same with pasta and rice, small amount of spaghetti mixed with spiralized courgette and grated cauliflower with a small amount of rice for chilli etc, it all helps, you are looking slimmer already 😊 also Sean, with regard to the Appalachian mountains , I don’t know if you have watched any of Soft White Underbelly’s you tube channel, he is a documentary film maker who interviews homeless people, he also has a full play list of his interviews with people who live in these mountains, it is so interesting, not Walton’s mind you, but you may find it interesting 😊
There was a series of books published starting in 1972 called the Foxfire books. They document the Appalachian old time knowledge of subsistence. Everything from keeping hogs to spinning wool. We had the first 3 volumes if I recall correctly. I have since found a few original volumes for my own library. Original volumes can be expensive to obtain now, but I believe Penguin publishing has reprints available.
So sorry to hear about your friend !! Those books are great , you should enjoy them. I collect books like that . I'm in the U.S., born and raised , and still live ,in an Appalachian region of Georgia
Good morning Sean, so sorry for your loss. I did subscribe to your gardening channel. Looking forward to your tips. I’ll still watch you here as well. I’m curious about the pencils. Are they Dixon Ticonderoga?
Hello Sean It's sad to learn of the death of a person you met in your village and with whom you talked. I find it memorable that people thought of the back door to leave flowers in his memory. Here too in Ariège (south/southwest of France yesterday it was quite hot then rained. PS: this little writing corner with this light ... is totally magnificent. A very beautiful warm atmosphere Catherine (from France)
I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing Sean. Lovely gesture to put flowers there. I will be subscribing to the new channel, too. Eating healthily helps with aches and pains, but a piece of cake occasionally won't hurt. We will be gardening soon full on and the exercise will be in full flo. Nice to have a tea break and a slice of cake at the plot.
hello great Vvlog as usually I wanted to ask, I get updates on wales online news etc.... and I was wondering if you knew about this village where crime is so rife locals are calling it "worse town than the bronxs". town is named Blackwood , they say near Caerphilly...
Hi Sean, I was watching your first moves to Wales ,you mention the Street that got bombed in Rhondaa? Do you know the Film The Halfway House from 1944??
Oh bless you. so sad when someone you have been familiar with dies. Life is full of sadness sometimes. Hope your ladder turned up and the weather hasn't stopped you moving your sheets to the homestead . .Rough here today and would imagine you have much the same ..The lid from my water butt went AWOL in the storm on Thursday and is nowhere about, so if you see a random one Sean, it could be mine, ha ha ..
I subscribed to your gardening channel. But I am still going to stay subbed to this channel. I can't wait to see your tips on gardening. Love this channel too.
So true seize the day … so true, I had a beautiful close friend who went on her veranda on the morning with her book (avid reader) and her tea. Postman found her dead 2 hours later… made me sit up and take action with my life … it’s way too short .
My old dad used to say just a little of what you fancy does you good. I personally think the more I'm told to keep away from certain foods makes me think about them the more. Like dieting and trying to stop smoking lol. Enjoy the little things. Take care
I love when you're Clark chimes. It's so soothing, Susan. I have a couple o'clock that chimes. But my family does not like the sound so I cannot put it on. It makes me sad, but I get to hear Yours.😊
Good morning Sean, enjoyed the video today, surprised to see it so early this morning. I'm sure your friend had a good life ,she will live on in the heart of the village. Its a good community you have gone back too. Looking forward to the walks and the views you film. I'm also looking forward to getting out and about. The wind here on the Wirral peninsula lasted 24 hours most of the time it was 40 mph. A lot of trees down most of them just hanging on to the bedrock. Enjoy your day. Hugs & Blessings.💚🌹
I wonder if you like Dolly Parton she sings about her life like apple Jack? Unfortunately we enter through one door and exit through the other door in life.
Hi Sean sorry about your friends passing so sad. The two channels are going to be great I'll keep watching this one and the garden channel. We'll done on starting the journal. Also glad the bath is fixed. Have a happy day. ❤
Please don’t let this lady’s passing dissuade you from eating healthily Sean. It sounds like she was lucky enough to reach a good age, and put plainly, that’s what the healthy eating will help you do too. So sorry that you have lost a friend.
Just found your channel from watching the video when you went looking for the victorian kitchen garden. Just been rewatching the series. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Random comment as I thought about you yesterday when I went to watch Hamilton in the Millennium Centre, did you ever work on that one in London or have watched it yourself?
Hi Sean, thank you for this. People who have passed on live on with us in our hearts.. xx you will always have precious memories..yes seize the day. I subscribed to you new channel as well but love this one. And at least the bath is now all fixed. 🧼🫧🛀
Just been to treharris to see my family was certainly wet and windy you were very wise not to stay on homestead. Glad you sorted your bathroom issues 😮 Lovely flog as always Sean. Thankyou

Hello Sean
Such a lovely gesture to put flowers at the backdoor, it's very respectful and shows that she was well thought of 💜
I was inspired to write a poem last night, it seems quite apt for this moment
Depression's cloak
Winter upon us, take a walk in the park
Depression's cloak hangs around me,so dark
The wind is biting, I can't wait for the spring,
The flowers will grow and the birds cheerfully sing
The depression stays with me but I shall survive, I just need to
Feel grateful that I am alive
It's hard living with it, a statement so true
You are probably thinking you're glad it's not you
Time is a healer, the sadness will go
So fight off these demons, and let happiness grow
Take care Sean 💜
How lovely! Thank you for sharing your poem. ❤
Very apt indeed - that's lovely x

Will you still do little gardening bits on here? I love listening to your chit chats from your shed x
Yes but not as in-depth such as 'sow 8inch apart and 1inch down' on the other channel.
My condolences on the passing of your friend.
Witch Hazel brings back beautiful memories of my grandmother"s garden ❤.. NZ here.. love to you and sorry yr friend passed xx
Thanks Sean this channel is perfect as is. I'm not a great gardener. 😊😊
that's the good weed barrier.
Glad you got your flood sorted, we had something similar happen years ago - just as an idea you could put your dehumidifier in there with the loo seat down to help dry it out quicker? 👍🏻
Anyway, take care and good luck with the new Channel! 🙂
Sorry for your loss. Always watched the Waltons..
❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry for the loss of your friend.
So sad about your friend your right about you don't lniw what is around the corner take care
Someone else mentioned it and I've just watched a few, certainly not The Waltons! I think I'll stick to the originals.
@ ha ha 😂 yes his channel is very hard hitting :)
@seanjamescameronyes it’s pretty grim
@@potatowaffle4573 😂
Eat what you want in smaller portions.
Sorry to hear that your friend has passed. Communing with nature at 4am, wonderful! God bless xx
So sorry to hear about your friend !! Those books are great , you should enjoy them. I collect books like that .
I'm in the U.S., born and raised , and still live ,in an Appalachian region of Georgia
You're on target ... Do what you need to do, Sean.
The 2 channels makes sense!!!!
Love the back door flower tribute, and my condolences on your loss.
Prayers with Sympathy for your friend. So sorry.
Sad news of your friends passing Sean, glad you have fond memories to hold on to, take care lovely x
I am sorry to hear about your friend. I know you will miss her. I hope the storm has not done a lot of damage where you are.
Good morning Sean, so sorry for your loss. I did subscribe to your gardening channel. Looking forward to your tips. I’ll still watch you here as well. I’m curious about the pencils. Are they Dixon Ticonderoga?
Ticonderoga Wood-Cased Pencils, Unsharpened, 2 HB Soft, Yellow, 12 Count.
@ a classic! The #2 is what we used in school many moons ago.
Hello Sean
It's sad to learn of the death of a person you met in your village and with whom you talked.
I find it memorable that people thought of the back door to leave flowers in his memory.
Here too in Ariège (south/southwest of France yesterday it was quite hot then rained.
PS: this little writing corner with this light ... is totally magnificent. A very beautiful warm atmosphere
Catherine (from France)
Am I right in thinking this was not a recent even, but happened some time ago before they got the new van
What new van?
Nowhere near me.
Hi Sean, I was watching your first moves to Wales ,you mention the Street that got bombed in Rhondaa? Do you know the Film The Halfway House from 1944??
Never heard of it, will check it out. Thanks.
It's been so icy cold in New York City. Chills you to the bone.
Morning Sean ❤️ your writing desk area looks really lovely, take care, just subscribed to your new channel, best of luck xx
Deepest sympathies my friend 😔✝️
Oh bless you. so sad when someone you have been familiar with dies. Life is full of sadness sometimes. Hope your ladder turned up and the weather hasn't stopped you moving your sheets to the homestead . .Rough here today and would imagine you have much the same ..The lid from my water butt went AWOL in the storm on Thursday and is nowhere about, so if you see a random one Sean, it could be mine, ha ha ..
Ooh Sean, don't go in the attic, they are scary places😯
So sorry to hear about your dear friend, you are very inspiring to us all and thank you.🩷
I subscribed to your gardening channel.
I looked at the Walton’s with my dear brother who sadly past away to years ago 😢 so about dieet I do not
I want the link to the gardening channel ;)
First line of the video description.
My old dad used to say just a little of what you fancy does you good. I personally think the more I'm told to keep away from certain foods makes me think about them the more. Like dieting and trying to stop smoking lol. Enjoy the little things. Take care
I think I have missed the bit about tablets (on the thumbnail). Unless I've got my wires crossed.😊
At 6:12.
Ha ha, oh the writing tablets, and here's me thinking medication.
"Keep taking the tablets," as they say.❤😂
@@Kat-l2tit’s to encourage you to watch. lol
Yes, I was tablets?😮
Clever clickbait.😅
I love when you're Clark chimes. It's so soothing, Susan. I have a couple o'clock that chimes. But my family does not like the sound so I cannot put it on. It makes me sad, but I get to hear Yours.😊
So much for parties in the Tub...................>
I’ve always wanted to grow potatoes but have no idea where to start . I would love to watch this please .
Hi what are names of your books ,and author ,I would love to read them ,thanks
Search for books by Lynn Coffey.
Thanks

nice video sean sorry to hear about your friend
Please don’t let this lady’s passing dissuade you from eating healthily Sean. It sounds like she was lucky enough to reach a good age, and put plainly, that’s what the healthy eating will help you do too. So sorry that you have lost a friend.
Hands up, who else immediately went over & subscribed to the new channel?😄
Me😊
@@diannevenner-kc6guand me! 😂

A peaceful day for us all
Just found your channel from watching the video when you went looking for the victorian kitchen garden. Just been rewatching the series. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Random comment as I thought about you yesterday when I went to watch Hamilton in the Millennium Centre, did you ever work on that one in London or have watched it yourself?
No I was out of the industry as that came into London. Doesn’t appeal to me that show.
@ ahh ok. Thanks for replying
Hi Sean, thank you for this. People who have passed on live on with us in our hearts.. xx you will always have precious memories..yes seize the day. I subscribed to you new channel as well but love this one. And at least the bath is now all fixed. 🧼🫧🛀

There's a RUclips channel I watch - Soft White Underbelly - does a lot of coverage on Appalachian people.
Thanks, off to check it out.
Thanks Sean! 😊 I follow you on every channel ..
I look forward to your gardening channel Sean. Looking forward to the growing season.
Just been to treharris to see my family was certainly wet and windy you were very wise not to stay on homestead. Glad you sorted your bathroom issues 😮 Lovely flog as always Sean. Thankyou
I learned that too late in life. 😢😢
What a big bathroom you have
Good idea to start the other channel, especially since it'll soon be time to plant. I will definitely look for relevant topics there.
Great video as usual.Have subscribed to the other channel x
Loved the Waltons Sean
Glad to see you feeling a bit more cheerful.
Nothing worse then a water leak. Look forward to the gardening channel
