Congrats mama!! It can def be a little challenging to have 2 so close in age but I always try to remind myself that we all have to go through phases. One day we will look back on these days and reminisce on how crazy they were and hopefully those kiddos will be best friends.
I never knew how clingy a baby could be until I had mine. She is the same as baby Knox, only sleeps on me or in my arms. Is there anything you can share about breaking this? When did he start being more independent? Tips? Do you sleep train? I have been bedsharing and it's been great but was NEVER in my plan. I do want her to be able to sleep on her own. I am a working mama so hopefully once I am back to work and she is older things will change but I have a big heart and want to be as gentle as possible
That is totally normal for babies to only want to sleep on mama. You gotta think they lived inside of us for 9 months and now we want to put them somewhere else away from us to sleep it’s just not normal for them yet. We are their comfort. A good rule of thumb is babies don’t start getting on a good sleep schedule or routine until about month 4. This stage is over with so fast and I promise you won’t regret those naps on you or in a carrier. Once Knox was 4-5 months old then I started trying to get him to take 2 naps in my bed without me. You gotta be patient they may only nap for 10-20 min but that’s ok. Just remember routines and repetition is key. Take your time. There is no rush, it will all happen soon enough.
We will have two that will be 16 months apart, thanks for all the tips
My daughter, Everly, will be 2 in August and I just had my son on May 7th. This video is extremely helpful!!
