Odd Numbered Mario Parties Jon. Good thing Emile picked Daisy so you can distract yourself a bit...I am curious how much that's gonna come into play for this game.
This is one of my favorite MP games, but it is probably the slowest. Seriously, take the Paratroopa capsule for example. It shows the Paratroopa flying over to each one of the other three players, the coins being taken, and the character doing like a "awwwww" pose. Three freaking times. What's the point? Why not just reduce the coin count without having to go to each player, like a Bowser event or something?
to be fair, it wasn't all the game itself...the tube game was really the game being fair since in the air, you have no control...so mario just took advantage of it..as for the bowser game, I have no idea how he didn't notice the fire flashing, which signals in games it will disappear and be safe to walk on later...so I chalk that up too him
I would honestly not be mad if you guys did a practice round for the mini games, that way Jon would've known that the fire that was blinking was still going to kill him. Though honestly its something Nintendo liked to do, if the bad thing on the ground is flashing, it is still technically there, so dont touch it.
I'm loving this, Jon's Waluigi voice is priceless lol! Mario Party's one of the most fun games for you guys to play through, so it's awesome seeing the chaos return! Also, the AI curse seems to have lifted for this map, at least for now

+The Mexitroll Every diceroll game is luck-based to an extent, but there are some things that make Mario Party 5 more luck-based than a lot of others. For example, it has a much higher number of luck-based minigames than other Mario Party games (I think Mario Party 2 and 3 each had only 2 luck-based minigames, whereas this game has several). This game also has completely randomized item "shops" where you just get a single random capsule whereas every other Mario Party game at least has some opportunities to choose which items you want to get. And when the board become covered with tons of crazy capsule spaces, dice rolls start to have much higher stakes (thus making skill less useful). But... there are also some very strategic elements in this game that aren't present in other Mario Party games. There is sometimes a lot of strategy in choosing when to use an item and when to throw it. And also in choosing which space to throw it to. You can never really guarantee good results for yourself, but if you know what you're doing, a strategic capsule throw can really throw the odds in your favor. And I also love a lot of the minigames in this game that aren't luck-based.

I was playing this game with my brother and he wanted to play the bowser games. So as a joke when we played this game I chose Luigi and tried to win by doing absolutely nothing. The first time no fire hit me. The second time I could see that there was no shadow around me so I would have actually won by doing nothing, but Wario (the AI) decided to run into me, pushed me out of the way, into the fire and we both got hit

I'm doing a practice round of Mario Party 8 while listening to you guys play Mario Party 5. How apt. Apparently I'm gonna be doing a lot of writing for more than a few stories to get some money in if I can.
I might actually think up a new story to see what gimmicks and enemies and boss fights I can get into the new games that get made. However, it's gonna be pretty darn obvious one might be released and in it there may be some button mashing segments and some luck based segments so I think if The Runaway Guys play a game like that Emile would be burning his finger from mashing the button like crazy, Jon would be hurting his arm from mashing the button so quickly and Tim would seriously be putting that two-finger technique to good use. If they had Masae as a guest in one of the episodes of the LP they do of the game they play, she'd probably be saying "BUTTON MASH, BUTTON MASH, BUTTON MASH, BUTTON MASH, BUTTON MASH..."
For capsules; Green involve movement. Yellow involve taking/giving coins. Red involve taking capsules. Blue are major game changers (Star moving, Star/coin stealing, Chance Time, Miracle.) That being said, I predict a Miracle capsule run happens late in this LP.

For capsules;
Green involve movement.
Yellow involve taking/giving coins.
Red involve taking capsules.
Blue are major game changers (Star moving, Star/coin stealing, Chance Time, Miracle.)
That being said, I predict a Miracle capsule run happens late in this LP.
+MrSolomon Acording to the Guide you need 3 Miracle capsules and to be the last place person for it to work right. It trade All stars. I have never seen it happen.
I had never seen it either. Closest I got was 2 miracles but I wasn't in last place.
+MrSolomon The closest you can get is Chomp it will cost you to steal stars but it's better than the alternative
