Coney island is basically part of this game's identity at this point given the amount of times you guys encountered it throughout the series. It's not necessarily bad even, because 1. it's not luck based, 2. it's not a one dimensional button masher and lastly 3. you guys have seemed to express some of your appeal towards it in this episode and in the past. By those reasons alone, I would at least include it in the bottom of the upper quartile of minigames if these minigames were to be ranked according to a few different criteria (enjoyment being one of the main criteria).

In Mario Party 8 if you use the Duelo Candy and encounter a space with two opponents on it, you get to pick who you want to duel. I had a funny stupid AI encounter when (while playing as Luigi in King Boo's Haunted Hideaway with Boo, Toad and Dry Bones as my opponents, all set to easy), Dry Bones used his Duelo Candy and encountered me and Toad on the same space. The mini game was Saucer Swarm, which is a game I'm really good at...but then what happens? Dry Bones chooses TOAD and the game ends in a draw due to easy AI!
Coney Island is an amusement park located off exits 6 through 8 of the Belt Parkway (keep left on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge) in southern Brooklyn, New York. Unfortunately, it's been going under a lot of reconstruction, and the traffic is god awful. Trust me, I have to travel through it sometimes.

That seemed like a kind of interesting concept at first but it ended up being really boring. The board was bleak and lifeless, there were literally two different board events, minigame types repeated a lot in a row, and it seemed somehow more based on chance than actual Mario Party (somehow) since the literal only thing determining who wins are dice rolls (at least the normal game gives you an ILLUSION of control). I get that it's meant to be a way simpler version of Mario Party, but it seems the complexities and randomness of "what's gonna happen this turn?" in Mario Party are what make it fun, and trying to simplify that just makes it way more boring.
P.Scoop One of my main gripes with the car mechanic is that it makes for a board that's limited by length, not by number of turns, so there's no customization to game length whatsoever. I now see that this terrible idea of having a limited board length started well BEFORE Mario Party 9.

Every character is designed to look like a typical move token. It's based on getting cards which trigger random events. There are no mini games here at all which makes this board completely luck based. I agree that Mini game Circuit is luck based because of the randomness of the dice. But at least here you still need to be half decent at the mini games in order to have a chance to win and move.
