    thank you so much man... I just recovered 900GB of priceless data that has been sitting on a hard drive for 10 years. I had the hope that someday I'd have the time to recover it and this video helped. Thank you!!!!

    my man...you are a Godsend!!! I read the entire step-by-step Wiki and was so confused! I was able to do everything up to copying the partition data. I just didn't see the drive locations to paste the copied files to 😀 Thank you so much David! Saved some very important memories ❤

    Just saved a whole bunch of data on a Windows boot drive. Nice software; I used the Linux version as the Windows OS refused to recognize the drive. Thanks for the video.

    I followed your guide. I saw my files listed there. I copy a file (10GB single file) before fixing the partition table. Now it seems it is taking forever to copy. Currently the screen shows "Copying, please wait... 0 ok, 0 failed". Task manager shows my faulty disk (currently on a USB3.0 case) usage at 100% while the destination disk (the file to be pasted to) hovering at 0 to 2%. It doesn't look normal to me. Should I continue to wait? Or should I cancel it via Ctrl+C (or whatever keyboard combo to cancel it) and proceed with the partition table fix first?

    UPDATE:
    It showed up, but I think it's lagging because I hit enter but nothing is happening, and it doesn't respond to using arrows...
    My hard drive still does not show in Testdrive ://// it's an over decade old IDE drive which I'm using a converter for. The Ugreen converter does show up as USB but no the drive. It keeps making clock like noise too. Is there hope?

    One of my external drives after the newest Windows 10 Update (go figure as usual), all of a sudden did a %100 disk usage, and wouldn't stop. I had to reboot my PC because i couldn't do anything, but when i rebooted and checked the external, it was then in RAW format! not NTSF. Is there anyway to fix that using this program?

      This is because you probably selected the auto-selected thing at 3:06. It auto-selected EFI for me, but when I closed it and selected Intel the next time I ran it, it worked.

    What does "format" mean in this context?

    • @jiqoynicholas1280
      @jiqoynicholas1280 3 года назад +1

      Format means delete anything that's currently on the drive, and create a new file system on that drive. The reason you can't see files on a drive that has shown up as a RAW drive, is bc the file system has been deleted/ corrupted. This means the computer you're using doesn't know how to "see"the data
