    I agree, A more modern looking Range Rover clone and yes I think the design is good to. Suicide doors looks nice too. Hope they are safe, after all it got its nickname for a reason.

    I have an observation regarding the tyres, they extend past the wheel archs. This is only a concept car being shown. Not a final drive on the road car.

    Well, India has the Tata Nexon, a domestic ev but it's somewhat limited in range.
    The government is adamant to gatekeep in the interest of their domestic car industry. It is somewhat reminiscent of the US government behavior right after Japanese cars entered the market in the 60s. While not a manufacturing powerhouse like China, India has a much more developed car culture compared to China, and I hope they can produce better EVs then they have so far.

      Nexon EV max is having a Range of 437 ( claimed ) though it gives 360 km range driving at 60-80 km/h

      I really wonder if Maruti Suzuki will ever make the Alto or equivalent into a budget ev...

      @@dgurevich1 Though Tata Is making 2 Budget EVs The Tiago Ev and Tigor Ev and Mahindra came with Xuv400 Ev and The Xuv700 Ev named as Ev8 I guess is coming next 2 to three years and that even looks like a finished product compared to this car we saw in the video

      there are about 6 to 8 EV cars - 4 wheelers now. The real EV revolution in India is happening in the 2 wheeler segment.. not in the 4 wheeler segment yet.
      I dont expect many 4 wheeler EVs to really be a thing until 2027-28. You got to understand India isnt China.. Im saying this as an Indian.
      In many ways we are only comparable to Africa due to the current situation.

      We completely overlooked the bike segment. I asked a few people about electric bikes, most said they aren't there yet. Maybe India will dominate this market...

    There are many startups jumping in ev cars but none have produced a mass market car PRAVAIG is also not mass market car and car buyers in India buy 12k to 36k usd price range 36k is considered as expensive car for Indian buyers CARS like Mahindra ScopioN, JEEP, Toyota and luxury brands have sales after 40k usd

    Forget EVs.. even car/auto sales are way way below what China has.
    I watch this channel looking at the evolution of the auto industry ...
    .. but India is still wayyy behind. We have massive levels of poverty and infrastructure issues.
    But at least we can praise China for the progress they make.
    China are going full steam ahead and I'm glad it will help the green revolution in the world.
    .. but yea here in India things are bound to still be slow this decade. Thanks for the timely reports though.

    Range Rover meets Cybertruck angles and planes.. 15 in screen, nice.. multiple screens, .. how quiet does it ride? .. good range, but why not lithium mag., or another mix? Don't care for these batteries*..

    Rs. 10 lakh is about $12k, and $45k is about Rs. 37 lakh... Rs. 10 lakh would be very reasonable for this car but not 37....

      Well they said they'll give warranty for 250k kms or 8 years whichever comes first. Given batteries cost more than 60% in all EV cars, it's more than what even BYD gives here in India ( 180k kms).

    Rs 40 lacs is the cost of a 2 bedroom flat in many metro towns. Not affordable. Need am electric Nano type car for masses

    Cotton towels and curries are the only things I will buy from India unless proven otherwise. In other words let's wait and see how this vehicle performs in reality over say five years.

    But it’s made in India the country that has a problem stringing communication cables properly. And also is the home of scam telephone calls. Aside from that it might be OK car but where do you get service? Where do you get parts? No dealer net work. Doubt that it will be a worldwide car.

    The actual prototype looks like a steaming pile. And I have to say this thing is ugly as sin. If you don't think the lordstown EVis going to sell, I don't know how in the hell you'd love this thing

      @@shivamvaishya9314 Land rovers are made in 5 countries including India. Jaguars are still made in England. Both are considered to be lower quality with very low reliability ratings. Not sure why anyone would buy a first generation Defy EV from India, as it is just asking for trouble. Let's get some historical reference first and see what the problems might be.

      XUV700 Is 5 star ncap rated , Nexon is 5 star rated in ncap , Altroz , Xuv300 and Tata Punch too are 5 Star Ncap Rated

      @@tomdrewenskus8167 But still people would buy XUV E8 first generation worldwide if Mahindra Will launch it Still people will buy their E8 too , Tata does make the Nexon EV Max with usable range of 380 kilometres and Claimed range of 437 Kilometres and the car is 5 star rated in ncap ( Front passengers 5 star rear 3 Star in older norms ) XUV700 is 5 Star front passengers and Borderline 4 stars in rear passenger ( nearly .5 difference to get 5 stars ) in rear passengers too

    That amount is crazy expensive for Indians. And for that, it looks like it has terrible quality. P.s. Prototypes are easy, production is nut-crunching - paraphrased - Elon Musk. p.s. If you like this design and finish, you really need to check your design sensibilities.

      Nah it's not that expensive though as our economy isn't equally distributed 😂😂😂 ( I don't wanna really say this but this is reality ) most of the people does have their 2 times meal and 98 percentage have reach to the toilets but apart from this coming to the topic Just search Nexon EV max , XUV E8 , XUV 400 to know More about Indian cars , Especially XUV E8 which is going to get launched in 2024 by an established brand
