I love Dr Gabor! He has helped me through so many life hurdles in the past few years via RUclips content alone. He has the ability to give constructive honesty even if it’s going to hurt a little! He is also very open about his own struggles & imperfections which for me is a breath of fresh air. I agree that authenticity of one self is paramount in nurturing our relationship with ourselves & others & that in todays society it’s a problem that is broken & must be fixed. Being authentic can lead to isolation to some extent but I think the true message is that it’s important for your overall health & well being. Don’t drink the poison just because others are doing it! It’s okay to be you! You will attract what you put out into the earth & if people don’t like it then that’s on them. If it’s meant for you it will not go past you & the same applies to relationships of all kinds. I especially liked the part where he openly admitted that he worried about the impact of his own issues being projected onto his children. It’s so relatable & AUTHENTIC! Thank you Dr Gabor you are a beacon of light in a very dark world ❤
Hard to trust anyone, when I dont feel safe. Hard to open up, when my needs are barely being met. Hard to want to be available, when people are selfish and entitled. We can all recognize things need to change...but I can't just do it on my own. Years of abuse and neglect got me to distrust people. Years of falling for the lies and propaganda, has me alone.... Nothing this man says, wants me to reach out and build community...there are no safe spaces. Being alone is simple living.... being lonely beats being abused.
I am so sorry for your loss experience. trusting yourself has to come first and if removing toxic people from your life that’s the first step to building trust in yourself. it might be lonely now, I understand that. but the more you grow and heal the more you will be able to be vulnerable and trust others. I promise you.
"The best of societies", "more sick than anywhere else in the world". Those abstract and unobjective claims discouraged me from wanting to continue watching.
I think maybe yes in some way. I find this. But the hope is once you are truly honest and authentic then you can fully be vulnerable and brave enough to open up to others.
@@user-zy1co9hy9m Self is a bit tricky for me because it's not really a solid thing, as I see it. If we feel that our reactions based on some beliefs we hold are authentic ("genuine", "natural"), then we will hold onto them even if there is evidence later that they may be wrong. Yes, I think by expressing our beliefs fearlessly, testing them out with others can be a good thing, and it will make us engage with others. But if we believe that they are authentic , meaning "natural", it will shut the doors of communication with others.

No it won’t. That is a lie.
Humans crave. Interdependence is ideal. Being alone is ok
Geez, Gabor.
I think Gabor is wrong. Authenticity will alienate you even more!
Crazy!

You can’t connect to anyone if you are not yourself.
