I wanted to have such a jig for quite a while, but they are not cheap and it's also a bit more difficult to get them in Germany. So I designed my one based on all the others out there. It was very easy to build, but my first one had some minor issues with the screw that holds the tool. So I made a new one, much simpler in construction and it works great.

Not only did you show that it can be done, you gave away the plans for doing it. That is just awesome. I have everything cut out and I’ll get the bolts I need tomorrow. Thank you so much.

Just found your channel. I'm a wood turner also and this jig is the best I've seen so far!!!!!!
Can't wait to watch the rest of your videos. Thank you so very much from the USA! You are appreciated.

Hi, I built myself such jig (I used your PDF plans - thanks a lot for that). It works. :-)
I grinded and sharpened my gouges without any problems; and I used my resharpened bowl gouge today - it cuts well.
Thank you for your inspiring videos!
    Спасибо!

I have recently wanted to buy the actual sharpening jig, but every time I go to the store, I walk away with certainty I can build one on my own. I appreciate your selflessness in posting the plans for this jig. You definitely get a thumbs up from me! Thanks.

Marius, you are a good man. This video and template saves everyone quite a bit of money as opposed to buying the One Way system or Wolverine system. One thing for sure, woodworking is no fun with dull tools. Happy turning!

I just finished making your chisel jig out of polished aluminum. It came out great. Thank you for making these plans available to anyone.
I wound up using a piece of 2" schedule 80 square-tubing instead of the 3 "main" portions, and I wound up extending the pivot from what it is here to 14" to accommodate my grinding setup. I shaped both knobs by filing in knurls around the entire circumference, sanded them smooth and polished them up to a nice shine.
I would love to show you what I made with your plans if you have some kind of outlet for such things.
