I've had an aluminium Apple watch for 5 years, 4 different ones. Never even got a minor scratch on the watch case, nothing. The fact it's lighter makes it far better than steel IMHO.

I'm about to get one. Yet I'm not obsessed with switching bands from time to time. My questions is, would it be OK to wear it when you work out? Is it OK to swim with the link bracelet. Apple says it's not waterproof. Weird though. Since you're wearing it most of them time, maybe you can give me some tips. Many thanks.
Lol the watch plus the bracelet is enough to get a really nice watch. I've used a 50 dollar stainless steel bracelet and it fits perfectly. I own a rolex so I'm not cheap with my watches, I just think the price for these was crazy. PS if you have a silver stainless steel just brush it with the grain with a scotch brite pad. Don't do it with black, the coating will come off.

From what I understand, the space black link bracelet is coated with DLC whereas the silver isn’t so the black is more durable

If it has the engravings, the essembled in china text and if the links are actually a bit bent to fit your wrist, it is most definitely genuine
