I want to say I see Ovechkin as the Peyton Manning type, puts up great numbers, but chokes in the postseason. The similarities are quite apparent. Year after year, choke after choke, they finally make it a year where they flew under the radar. They both made the finals by beating the team that dominated them year after year (Brady/Patriots and Crosby/Penguins). Will the story end the same? Time will tell. I hope so. However, I won't feel bad if Vegas wins. It really is a great story either way.

I want to say I see Ovechkin as the Peyton Manning type, puts up great numbers, but chokes in the postseason. The similarities are quite apparent. Year after year, choke after choke, they finally make it a year where they flew under the radar. They both made the finals by beating the team that dominated them year after year (Brady/Patriots and Crosby/Penguins). Will the story end the same? Time will tell. I hope so. However, I won't feel bad if Vegas wins. It really is a great story either way.

This is gonna be one of the most exciting cups in a while I think. And that says a lot cause they’ve been great almost every year
I'm a lifelong fan of a division rival as well (the other team from Pennsylvania) but I'm throwing it behind the Caps. Maybe I'm feeling generous having gotten a Super Bowl this year, but I want to see Washington pull it off. Full disclosure: A friend of mine is high profile gameday staff for Washington. Very high profile.
That said, if Vegas pulls it off, I will not be too heartbroken about it.

Watching this after the Avs rapped, pillaged, and burned Nashville to the ground in the first round and won the cup this year makes me chuckle.
Thank you for putting all the fools who think the Knights were handed an amazing team by Bettman, there was no way anyone could have thought 95% of the players on the team would do as amazing as the have done so far. It's not a fluke getting to the Cup, and going through some of the toughest teams the NHL has to offer isn't a fluke either. The Knights are a well oiled machine with an actual good, great coaching and lots of great players who didn't get the recognition they deserved. Been loving the team since the beginning of the preseason and I hope to see more great hockey during the Cup Finals! Happy to see ovi get this far as well and maybe Capitals can break this terrible spell that has haunted them for decades (if not wee all know this guy is gonna DESTROY them next vid). Go Knights Go!
