Thank you for such a genuine reaction to Emma's most recent performance with Andre, she's been touring with him for the whole of this year, and delivering stunning performances at every venue she's performed at, but what's been so good is that she's been watching, listening and learning from a group that is effectively the cream of the cream, and she's not afraid to use what she's learning, and her most recent performances have shown new features that are the result of her having the experiences she is having, working with the best, and it's showing, she is supremely confident on any stage now, and knows how to manage her voice, and her performance skills, her introduction in her third language was perfect, not just in terms of the words, but also how she delivered them, the subtle pauses, inflections and other techniques that all worked to allow her to have that huge audience of 12,500 in the palm of her hand, and once she'd got them there, she delivered a explosive performance that more than once was sufficient to devastate everyone in earshot, a true vocal explosion, and if that wasn't enough, the key change leading into that belting finale, with such powerful top notes, and the length of them, it truly was a classic Andre Rieu finale, with everybody putting everything they had into an incredible ending, and the look on Emma's face was priceless, she once again knew that she'd absolutely nailed that performance, and so did Andre, I just hope that their close and beautiful relationship with music at the highest level will continue with the same power into 2025. Emma is delivering such high quality, it's sometimes hard to remember that she is still very much affected by the disease that Andre mentioned in his introduction, and there's been no change yet, there still is no cure for gastroparesis, the only thing that can stop Emma now is her health, and that's why I am going to repeat my normal appeal to everyone listening or reading, if at all possible, please make a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, who are working to find better treatments, or ideally, a cure for the illness that at the moment has no cure, and also can have devastating implications for sufferers, many of whom have taken their own lives as a result of the intense pressure and stress that the discipline of living with gastroparesis imposes on them. Emma has been tied to external feeding pumps since she was 9 months old for 22 hours a day carrying the equivalent of a boat anchor around with her, when she was younger, she had to use a small trolley to move them around, as she couldn't physically carry them, and that resulted in a lot of bullying and verbal abuse from her peers, so much so that she needed professional help to get through that time, now, she is an incredible advocate for people who are disadvantaged. I know from recent social media posts, she still finds the unrelenting daily limitations of tube feeding incredibly hard to cope with at times, despite that she's loving the singing with Andre, which she regards as her therapy. She posted some heart breaking photos and comments from her holiday in Portugal, having to use her wheelchair after a time swimming, even then, at a time when the family were relaxing and enjoying a break away from their normal lives, Emma had no relief, no escape from the mental and physical pain of having to live with the numbing discipline of the 22 hours every day with the pumps attached to her, her ongoing lack of stamina that hugely limits and impacts on her life and desire to be free, and she never talks about the physical pain that so often is a side effect of the failure of her stomach to properly process the contents, or the indescribable pain of the procedure to replace her feeding tubes, it has to be done every 5 months, and normally takes around 20 minutes, and Emma refuses anaesthetic, as she is not prepared to risk any damage to her voice, but her most recent change, only days before the performances in Maastricht started didn't go according to plan, and what should have been 20 minutes of indescribable pain ended up taking way longer, nearer an hour and a half, and it was very evident the following day from the videos of the rehearsals that Emma was still suffering from the after effects of that awful experience, she was clearly feeling the cold, and looked very strained. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl They are a dedicated team that includes a surgeon with a lot of experience treating this disease, and she is also a sufferer, so understands only too well the issues that patients face, and she's had to stop working as a surgeon as a result of her own health declining, she's now working full time with the foundation. Please also be very careful if you post or respond to anything from Emma on social media, her increased visibility has resulted in significant numbers of bad actors creating fake accounts, and looking for money to fund 'special operations', or the like, the ONLY valid web site that supports Emma and others like her is the gastrostars site, anything else is fake and fraudulent, and beneath contempt, please report them. It will be so good if the work of Emma's foundation can lead to a better treatment, or even a cure, which will free her to do more singing, and it may be people here who make that possible.
Fantastic! Stars dance around her because she is one of them 😊. How delight to watch Emma singing, I love her voice and her presence on stage. Emma is very present in my life, I admire her as a singer and also as a human being. She deserves all the success in music, "🎶 we are, we are 🎶" beside Emma, and I hope she achieves to improve his quality of life. Thanks a lot Collena for supporting her and for your enriching analysis. 👋✌️
Thank you so much, Koma! Your support always means the world to me. I completely agree, Emma is such a star, both on and off the stage. One of the reasons I truly relate to Emma is because my daughter also has a feeding tube, and she faces challenges like epilepsy and developmental delays. It’s so inspiring to see how Emma pushes through and works for her dreams despite everything. It’s amazing how she can touch so many lives through her music. I’m so glad to have you along for this journey with us! Sending you lots of positive vibes! 😀🙏🏾
A young impressive lady who is not allowing health issues to get the better of her, just look at the audience, nearly everyone shedding a tear or two, she should perform this in Russia, China and North Korea, she could single handedly bring oeace to the world, GOD BLESS YOU EMNA KOK you are an inspiration to anyone and everyone 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️
I don't know. Someone tell me if you do. Is there a 16 year old vocalist anywhere in the world today besides Emma that is performing at this level? This young woman is off the charts good. This is top-tier stuff. This is world-class singing! Brava Emma! Brava! ♥🌹 Thanks for the expert analysis. Well done. Great reaction. All the best.
I've been waiting for the last 3 days just in case someone knew the answer to your question, even though I had it so clear. My answer is NO, neither on planet earth nor on stars, because Emma is also there 😊. Greetings 👋
@@Koma_Texeld My question was essentially rhetorical. I pretty much knew the answer when I asked it. The underlying purpose was to draw attention to Emma's remarkable talent and ability. But, it is not only her amazing, God-given talent that has allowed her to achieve so much success at such a young age. Emma is driven in a way her age peers cannot replicate. She knows how precious and valuable her time on this Earth is. This is necessitated by her medical condition. Few know, as Emma does, how fragile and tenuous life is. That is a sober realization for a teenage girl. What is truly extraordinary about this, however, is her response to her terrible circumstance. Instead of harboring bitterness and pity for herself, she has made the conscious choice to make the most of her time; to live her life to the fullest; to fight like a Warrior, and shoot for the stars. Not many people could pull this off, but she is. She is among the greatest of warriors. Frankly, I am in awe of her. She is the most courageous and determined human being that I know of. Thanks so much for your comment. I agree with you 100%. She has found her place among the stars indeed. All the best to you.

Great reaction to Emma singing. I would like to see your reaction to Emma singing Voila, the song that brought the her to the notice of the World. I was lucky enough to see her sing it live at Leeds arena in May of this year, not a dry eye under the arena roof. Thank you for sharing ❤
Emma Kok had a performance for Dutch television 2 weeks ago, in which she does a song from Disney. This is now also on RUclips. This is also highly recommended
🥰🤩😭 her whole being is such a light in the face of enormous challenges. Someone posted they attended and she sang this and Voila at the same show. I would have been a mess . That song seems to be about her very journey.
Thank you for this PRO reaction , we went to the concert of Andre Rieu at Maastricht , right in front of the stage at about 35 meters distance. Just as Emma started singing, an emotional bomb exploded in the square with the song DANCING ON THE STARTS and afterwards VOILA which earned a standing ovation for several minutes. Her beautiful voice touches your soul with the support of the orchestra, an evening to remember for a livetime. Also think that the audience love her mental strength with her illness and the loss of Emma's girlfriend Angela on May 5, 2023 ( ruclips.net/video/0nIpN86mw6E/видео.htmlsi=qws5Z_xKe4mVi4sc ) for the performances of volia last year
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It must have been incredible to witness Emma’s performance live, especially from so close. I can only imagine the emotional impact when she sang “Dancing on the Stars” and “Voila.” Her voice truly has a way of touching the soul, and her strength is just so inspiring, especially with everything she’s been through. That concert sounds like an unforgettable evening. 🙌🏽🙏🏾😀
Thank you for your explanation and the professional explanation of the voice types of emma "Its good to be a live" And then to think that 5 days before this recording Emma had to undergo another procedure in the hospital, namely the renewal of the exit of the tube system to her stomach and intestines. This has to be done every 5 months and normally under anesthesia, However Emma does not want this because of the tubes in her throat that can damage her vocal cords. It also went wrong now because the feeler ended up wrong. This last was still clearly visible during the rehearsal where she stood on stage in warm winter clothing, the day before recording this video and the start of the 12 concerts that she would give with Andre Rieu and his orchestra... So not only her very beautiful voice but also the will to live as she sings this several times in this song
Performing life like this is one thing, to do it in front of a 12.500 audience and a full size orchestra behind you is taking the same at another level. Really impressive stuff. Emma is, as André Rieu himself has put it, a stage animal. And no matter where she is performing you can see/feel that: she is confident, relaxed and she loves it. André Rieu and Emma have lots of respect for each other and André trusts Emma's musicality. And that is something, when a very experienced 75 year old violinist/conductor is relying on such a young singer/musician on stage. Look at this video: He gives Emma the first note (after she has finished her speech) and from that point on he is following Emma with his orchestra the entire song (as he did with "Voilà" as well): Emma is not only singing but also leading the song, so to say. What an achievement for a 15-16 year old. When André Rieu would have the slightest doubt this was not possible. Things are going so well, he has announced last week (it is 12 October 2024 now) that Emma will be on tour with him and his orchestra in 2025 as well. Having said that: on RUclips you easily can find other performances from Emma as well, most of them are live. When Emma is in the Netherlands she is regularly asked to perform at different places which are recorded. Sometimes professional, sometimes not professional, but she sings so well that it always sounds well.
@JaapFilius Wow, that’s amazing! Performing live in front of such a huge audience with a full orchestra is impressive, but for Emma to lead at such a young age is really special. It’s clear André Rieu has a lot of trust in her, and she deserves it! I’ll definitely check out more of her performances-you can really feel her confidence and passion. Thanks for sharing this info! 😊🎶
Latest news about Emma: Next year, on October 21, by then 17 year old, Emma will have her own concert in the old prestigious Royal Theatre in Amsterdam. I have never ever heard of a 17 year old teenager having a complete show in a theatre... Emma announced that yesterday in a tv-interview (followed by a really wonderful performed arrangement of John Lennons 'Imagine') and on her Instagram: just 3 hours later the whole venue was already sold out.... It will be a concert with Emma, a full size orchestra and a few other artists, which names are not known yet, as Emma has to take her pauses along the way, to keep her fluid-food-flow running.
Thank you for a really interesting analysis. But its a pity that you curtailed Emma’s introductory speech where she publicly thanked André, his orchestra and the people (including the audiences) who have helped her to achieve her dreams - in simple, beautifully pronounced and modulated English, without any of the flowery, sugary, ridiculous phraseology that we have come to expect from “showbiz celebrities”. You mentioned her body language; did you notice the star-motif jewelry (a present from André) and star-spangled dress ?
Andre not just gives her the chance to sing, but made her a fairy queen. It suits her The long dresses, her posture, her personality. It all fits her, she clearly feels good. Her life off stage, is far from simple, but when she is singing, she is free. Emma, you are a Grand Little Lady. At her age she legally has to go to school. Not really, she has to get education. So on tour, she has the books with her and the whole orchestra is willing to help her. She arranged that for herself, that's Emma. For the orchestra it is a continues start-stop exercise, but they follow her perfectly. Andre once said he feels a little like being her father. Oh yes, he takes care of "his girl", visible for the whole world.. Andre had Kimmy Skota, a South African soprano as his star for a few years. But she disappeared. Emma want do that.
Emma had 5 rehearsals in the hall and outdoors and she sang the song brilliantly for her despite her illness because the stomach gives more air to the singer and Emma sings with half of the singer's diaphragm
Great reaction, thanks. Emma is absolutely stunning! As a matter of interest the lady dressed in white who is shown just before Emma's last big belt, then again after, and making the heart sign with her hands, is Emma's mother. How proud her family must be of this truly remarkable young lady.
I always find it a pity when streamers don't show the whole video and thus tear the whole thing apart, sorry to have to say that, but that's what makes the effect of this video. unfortunately, points are deducted for that.
