i can bet this is the best vehicle to impress a girl ;) drove one and its much safer than a bike (u know, 3 wheels instead of 2;), you wont get wet, so does she and the freaking sensation of banking on the corners is addictive ;)
No sadly it seems that Lynx newer found the investors to go from plan to production. They however kept hoping that something could happen so much that their website www.lynxcars.com still promises a 2018 delivery, although the last post on the facebook page facebook.com/lynxcars/ is from 2014. The company Lynx ApS actually still exists and makes a profit. This profit is most likely from patents, as the company came out with revolutionary lithium-polymer battery designs to be used in their EVs. They only seem to have managed to produce one electric car the Lynx GT, a Tesla Roadster competitor from 2009 that was both faster, cheaper and able to recharge faster, however it was also limited to a production of about 20-25 because that was the number of chassis they could get their hand on(it used a mix of Lotus Elise and Opel GT parts). The idea was to follow it up with a more affordable EV, the Lynx Nanoq, based on a Chinese car design and using the LI-PO battery packs designed for the GT to get a 140 to 215 km range from a 21 kWh battery, that at home could be fully charged in 6 hours and charge from 10 to 80 % in an hour at the fastchargers of the day. It would have been a small EV at a cost of around €30k in 2010. Sadly this too had problems getting investors, so following the Tesla idea of going after the people with money to buy a fun car at some expense they tried to make the electric Carver shown above and got to the design phase but sadly not to deliveries. The two Danes behind the idea of making the Carver electric are still in the EV game, however they are now more into designing and selling electric bicycles and speed-pedelecs(bicycles that can help the rider get to 45 km/h) If you are interested in an electric Carver there is a new version that does seem to make it into production this year(2019), not from Lynx, but it is limited to 100 km range and speeds of up to 45 km/h. You can see see and order it from www.carver.earth/the-carver/. It is no way near the Lynx eCarver in performance, however it is somewhat cheap costing just below €8,000 for an EV you can drive, a whole €2k less than the reservation cost of the Lynx.
@MAFTulha -- Obviously. The Carver's roll rate is about 82-degrees per second; at the 0:48 mark it's shown doing twice that.. Notice that at the 3:00 mark, the turn signal is flashing at intervals of 19-20 frames -- but at 4:17, its suddenly flashing twice as fast at 10 frames per interval. They're just running parts of the video at 200% to make it look fast. Really clumsy editing.
I saw some mistakes in editing video,but I still like it soo much. Is it open for sale and what is the prize for it? I am totally in love whit Carver,and whit this prize of gasoline, electric model is complettly dream come true. I have some plans for building it myself if they don't start building it for sale,or the prize is too big.
World wide distribution that never went into production. What were they waiting for. Just make the front look nicer and it would have sold like hot cakes.
You could ask why don't Motorbike riders fall off when banking through turns, silly question. Also pivoting holders on sail boats react when the hull tips over or pitches fore and aft not a banking curve like a bike or the Carver.
turbine range extender is a pretty wild claim and I'm guessing that wont last to production. much better to make it pure battery electric and give it quick charge capability. say 80km range and 15minute recharge
Good question, IF it is for 'Exhaust'. Looks like it may be a 'pivot point', for the leaning mechanism, ...... BUT it is very LOW ...... with very limited 'ground clearance'!!!
OK, $22 Thousand Pounds for the motor version.... How much for the Electric version? What is the Range, Cruise Speed, Re charge time..... COST. Will spare parts be available for maintenance and normal wear and tear? And the "Range Extender" is that an on board Generator to re charge batteries on the go? Of course this video is from 2011 with this being 2019 not sure we will see this vehicle soon... It was to ahead of it's time in 2011. By waiting they will be able to charge much more for the same vehicle.... Ask General Electric, its all about making money not improving mankind.... They, GE, own all of Nikolai Tesla's patents. Free electricity is available just not profitable.
the Electric Carver is a reality, it is worth about $ 10,000 US, or 8500 Euros in Holland ..... it is about 22000, by cons it rolls only in city max speed, 75 miles / H. or it is necessary to take a Motor is today a vehicle of colection very rare, and wonderful to drive, are price? .... about 50000 US $, or 40000 euros in perfect condition .... it is well known what we want in life. ;-)
Flying the road. Never said better. The most espectacular vehicle in the world.
this is the petrol car from holland, this carver was not electric back then (10y ago) you clearly see the exhaust in the center almost on the ground.

Video is 2011,did it ever make production.No information on Lynx Motors site.

This design is actually by Dutch manufacturer Carver, they are now selling a low speed version of this check carver.earth
If and when www.carver.earth start selling a faster version of their moped 45km/h I would buy immediately 😎

The video speed was improved...?!
Labai noreciau tureti si trirati motocikla. Kur galeciau nusipirkti? Kur kreiptis?

I first saw this in 2007 with a promise to have it on the road in the States by 2009! So far, the only person that has one is Jay Leno.
What will happen to your drinks if they don't have good caps?
'Pivoting drink holders', ...... like on sail boats!

I can see this as Robin's vehicle. It's starts off as a Craver. Then one off the wheels gets damaged and it changes into a monotracer like vehicle.

What cost the bike
35000
@MAFTulha Range extender.
If it is electric what the exaust pipe doing there?!

This looks like it goes much faster than just 28 mph. 28 mph is kinda slow. This vechicle is whizzing by like the wind.
It appears that the video was shot at a slow frame rate which actually speeds up the motion.
This item has seemingly poor turning radius
exporten para argentina
Replace the steering wheel with a joystick and I’m sold!
