looks like fun! way better than the 3 wheel can am's I've driven that try to throw you off when cornering, probably to much excitement for the normal folk driving the boring 4 door cars, trucks and suv's. After all most people hate driving but they don't think to buy something that's actually fun to drive.
Also, you would greatly increase your turning radius if you moved your pivot to the front end (with 2 tires) and 1 rear powered tire. This would allow you to have a greater arch in pivot for turns, more stability as well and less awkward pitch. Just a few helpful tips.
Now tell me captain caps lock, what ist the big flaw here? The two wheeled engine pod in the back is quite heavy and the cabin tilts to counter the g force. The only problem that i can think of is a malfunktion of the tilt system.
This is more for the flight enthusiasts. Have you ever flown your own plane or jet? You can't get this experience in a motorcycle, it's not the same thing. This car is FUN.
Thought they would have used handlebars instead of a steering wheel, do you counter steer with the steering wheel or is it incorporated in the steering ?
Wish we had this in the U.S....The Carver looks FUN with a capital F!!! Damn you American government....Start importing this cool stuff, we will buy it and get the economy going again.
You should google GM's Lean Machine. It was designed in the 70's by an american engineer named Frank J. Winchell. He designed it to improve the wastefulness of the automobile. It achieved 200 miles per gallon.
The company went bankrupt because the carver one was far to expensive, prices around 38k $ made people think twice before buying one. But it is stil in production, just on a "build by order" base. And again, if you are unable to drive according to the dimensions of your vehicle, you shouldn't drive at all. The carvers the outside mirror protrude further from the vehicle than the rear is wide. Ripping of your mirror should be a clear indicator that the gap is to small for the rest of your vehicle
Anyone, tell which carver dynamics better "delta" trike like this or "tadpole" one. I mean pure physics, no considerations about technical implementation.
I don't know, but the thing looks out of control on turns always running wide as though there's no way for the driver to maintain a precise line while turning like a motorcycle rider does or even in a regular car...
