    thanks again. I used to go up on the Mountains behind South Branch when I was a teenager Ptarmigan hunting on a Honda Big Red!! The road used to go around the other side of that last look off you were at. We call that Tripod Hill. Not sure why. I was up again a few years ago. We went back as far as Sandy Pond. There is a outfitting lodge back there. Love the videos

    Greetings from Newfoundland and from Marine Atlantic, glad you had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the Island, apologies for the delays caused with the ferry but unfortunately we cant control the weather. Next time your on the west coast I can recommend the Chicken coop along the rail bed when your passing through St Andrews in the Valley area. Literally right alongside it

      Thanks so much! Marine Atlantic did a great job getting us on the first ferry out the next day, and we certainly appreciate it. I know the Chicken Coop but I haven't eaten there yet. I will have to make a point of eating there this August when we go by. Thanks for the post!

    So nice to see the ocean . If it’s a beautiful sunny day or a raging storm the ocean has its beauty. I try and go back there every year to visit my folks. I go for a walk along the beach every day. The things you take for granted when you live there become the things you miss when you move away.

    I see this was prior to Fiona. I believe there is a quite a bit of damage near PAB. We are going this August. Hopefully the trail is usable by then. I used your info and appreciate all the work you put in it.

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  Год назад +1

      No Fiona was the week after we left. It did a lot of damage which hasn't been repaired yet. Locals tell me it's still passable though, so that's good. I'm sure it will all be repaired sometime in late June. I'm glad you find the info useful. Thanks for watching and commenting Leigh. Have a great trip in August! That's a good time of year to go.

      Fantastic. I hope you have a great time. That's probably about 190 km depending on what route you take. You could always add a day and drive from Deer Lake to Corner Brook, then go to Robinsons.

      Thank you for all your videos they are all amazing and extremely helpful.
      We have our route set with hotel stays in place already and it would not be easy to put in a stop at Corner Brook due to timing etc.
      Could not find it your past videos but wondering if you have a recent video of the trail from Deer Lake to Robinsons available, without the towing.
      (looks like we may need to start a wee early to get that ride in.. lol)

    Love your videos. Its on my bucket list to cross the island. As a Newfoundlander, I wish Dept of Tourism would do something with the Avalon Peninsula. Theres alot of great riding and sights to see on the east coast. Very many volunteers are doing great work on trails, its opening up the area very well. One quick question...my side x side is 70" wide...do you have any problem with narrow trails or bridges, etc???
    Thanks for the reply. Keep up the great work!!!

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. Your 70" machine is good for pretty much everything. It mat be a bit wide for the trail to Little Codroy Pond on the west coast. A few of my friends commented last year that it was tight in a few places for their 64" machines. I wish they would do more for the Avalon as well. Thanks for your comment! Stay safe out there!

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  Год назад +1

      My Commander seems to average about 12-14 liters per 100 km about 16 mpg US. I don't know what you mean in your second question.

    Hi... were doing a September 1-10 (Argentia to Port-Aux-Basques) SxS run using your guide. What would be the distance on the trails between Deer Lake and Robinson's? Thanks, Gard

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  Год назад

      That's difficult to answer because it totally depends on what you plan on stopping to see. Are you going to go up to the Lomond Sink Hole, Goose Arm, Cox's Cove, Serpentine Lake etc? Those are all beautiful places. I would suggest against driving Deer Lake to Robinsons in one shot because you'll miss so much if you just go directly with no side stops. The shortest route is about 190 km.

    Can you talk about how you like how that guy had it set up for the trip share that sportsman 800 but you refuse to do any videos of how people set up their ATVs you’re all about the side by sides but you have almost no interaction with ATVs

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  10 месяцев назад

      I refuse? That's an odd way to put it. A side by side is an All-Terrain Vehicle. I used to drive a 1 seat traditional ATV and have many videos on my channel from when I did. I have been driving a side by side ATV for several years now. I have videos of how people set up their ATV's if you're interested. Scroll through the list of videos and you'll find some. Here is just one example ruclips.net/video/yFto-FfLjvg/видео.htmlsi=qyuxODpc_1rQg4rR. If you scroll back to my pre 2016 videos I have numerous videos of being on an ATV.
