  • Welcome new and returning viewers! This video shows days 1, 2, and 3 of our 11 day 2022 Crossing Newfoundland By ATV trip from September 2022. This year we traveled over 1300 km (800+cross miles) covering the entire island east to west from Argentia to Port Aux Basques. In this video you'll see our road trip to the NL Ferry Terminal, riding ATV's from Argentia to Clarenville, and our trip to the abandoned amusement park "Trinity Loop". Our ferry arrived over 6 hours late on the first day which put us far behind schedule to start the day. It was interesting riding the trail for so long at night. I hope you enjoy this year's series. There will be four parts in total. We stayed in Hotels or cabins each night this year. If you want to see us camping check out my 2020 Crossing Newfoundland By ATV playlist on my RUclips channel, link below.
    After watching this series you'll understand why I call it the ATV TRIP OF A LIFETIME. If you want to learn how to plan this trip on your own check out my online resources (Free).

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  Год назад

      It totally depends on the weather. If there is a lot of rain, there will be bugs. Honestly I've never really been bothered by the flies there any time of year. Bring bug spray and it may be a good idea to bring mesh, just in case. Try to stop in open areas where it may be breezy to keep any flies that are there away from you. I went in July two years ago and the bugs weren't bad. I'm going again in late July this year.

    Hey Patrick! I live in Newfoundland and I’m the only one of my friend group that is into ATV riding, so I do a lot of trips by myself. To date I’ve only made shorter, one day trips bit I want to get out and do some more longer trips. Would you recommend someone doing this trip alone? Are there many camp sites where I could pitch a tent? Any info/ recommendations are very appreciated!

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! Sorry to hear your friends don't ride ATV's. You could do the trip alone, no problem. I usually suggest people don't do that in case of breakdowns or if any medical issues pop up. If you're an experienced rider and are prepared for flat tires, etc then I would say sure go do it. Just be sure to keep in touch with people at home daily if you can on your phone to let people know where you're at, and where you're going. I have some places mapped out on my website for camping like Serpentine Lake, Grand Lake, and a few others. Also, you can camp pretty much wherever you find a good spot. If you're not familiar with my website it's www.crossingnewfoundlandbyatv.com, go to the map page and click on the photo of the map. It will open in Google Maps and you can zoom follow the trailway and zoom in to see places I have marked you may want to see, or places you may want to stay. I hope that helps!
