Awesome, my family is from Port Hood, I am hoping to travel some of this trail soon. I was actually stopped a couple years ago by DNR on that West Mabou road with my aunts side by side, they escorted me back to her place (Let me off with a warning). They told me I wasn't allowed on that dirt road... my uncle was also ticketed for driving down to the beach on the side by side, so be careful if anyone wants to take that road down to the beach.
Thanks for the information about the DNR, much appreciated. It's a beautiful spot out that way. I hope to get back there sometime this summer again. Thanks for watching and leaving a message.
Hi just letting you know I truely enjoy your rides in NL. I was wondering if you ever traveled the new transmission line from the town of terra nova to Appleton or bishop falls.
Thanks for letting me know you like the NL videos. I appreciate it. I have not ridden the trail from Terra Nova to Appleton. I hope to one of these trips over. I have traveled it from Igloo City to Grand Falls through and it's in fairly good shape. It's not as smooth as it was a few years ago but it's still not bad.
Dang man that is a bummer you crashed and lost your drone, but this is a beautiful trip and the coastal views along the way were amazing. That is wild the temps were in the 90s. Living in New Mexico we hit the 90's and a few 100's. When I think of Canada in summer I always think of 80's at most. That is a bummer part of the trail is closed off. I look forward to checking out the new video of this route and the drone footage you get.
Hey ManzanoMan, nice to hear from you. Yeah, crashing the drone was a costly blunder I hope to not repeat with the new one. That was a hot day for us, typically we get high 70's, and 80's in my area. Southern Ontario will get temperatures in the high 90s and over 100 quite frequently in July and August. I agree it's a bummer the last few miles are closed off now, it was one of the most fun sections. Thanks for watching, be safe.
I live on the island in Inverness....trails are in bad shape we just had a bad ice storm...trees down all over the trails almost impossible to get there now ....it will be months before it's clear again...just to let people know... enjoy our island... Beautiful place to live....
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing it and the information on the trail conditions. I live in Baddeck. Will have to head over to the Celtic Shores Trail sometime soon.Cheers!
@@EastCoastATV , thanks. It’s more of a trip to figure out what we can and can’t carry on our SxS and how. I had seen Frank Zinck’s video on the CB trail and figured it would fit.
@@rodk8918 Our group usually sends out group emails ahead of time to discuss who is taking what. That way we can avoid taking multiples of the same thing. We don't need six air compressors, or tool kits etc.
I hope to get back there again this summer and go all the way to Inverness this time. Thanks for watching. Keep an eye out for the yellow Commander with the moose on the roof!
Awesome video, I live in Margaree at the bottom of the cape Breton highlands some amazing trails and places to see in the highlands. If you’re ever looking for a places to go let me know.
Great video, there are many hidden trails here in Cape Breton. A nice trip is around Lake Ainslie. BTW where did you get the cover for the back of your commander?
Disclaimer, you are not allowed to run the pavement nor on the dirt road. We are really behind the times on OHV use on roads in this province. You must be on a trail or a K class road. The only other exception is the ride the road pilot programs designated areas. That being said, I do CB quite often and there are some great trails too that are not documented anywhere.
I think you need a Kawasaki Teryx 2 in your group! If you ever have room for one more guy from Truro...let me know I would love to do a run with you guys!
I may put a post on the Crossing Newfoundland By ATV Facebook Page sometime in the next month or so nviting people out on a day trip this summer. Keep an eye out. Thanks for your interest.
@@EastCoastATV I would love to come up for a guided atv tour in the winter time. We dont get mainy snow trails in Baltimore. Is that something you guys do?
Never too late to practice Safe Fishing. lol awesome video. I assume you can keep going further and do a whole loop from inverness to margeree around to wreck cove and back down?
Can't be too careful of those flying fish lol. You absolutely can go further up to Cheticamp, Wreck Cove etc. I hope to do that this summer. Thanks for watching.
Warm and green , sooner the better. The short trail section at Ghost Beach , the start of the trail, was probably closed as there are Pipping plovers nesting in that area, I was told
@@EastCoastATV IF your enjoy a feed of lobsters you can get them off the boat along side the Ceilidh trail at Baxters Cove, just a short distance south of Judique, season closes June 30 in the area. Just bring a pot to cook them in and a pound of butter, cook them up on the trail at the ponds or at Port Hood shelter
Hello, no a 72" won't fit. The trail has several gates that are limited to about 66-68" wide. You may be able to get around some of the gates but some you won't be able to unfortunately without having to ride paved roads to get around.
Looking to do this next week...so many questions.....can you access accommodations from the trail in Inverness? Where to get gas? Why help would be awesome
Yes you can access accommodations from the trail. You have to ride the road a short distance but not far. There are gas stations too. Look up Inverness Beach Village Campground on Google Maps and you can see it, and restaurants, and gas stations nearby. Join Nova Scotia GPX ATV Trail File Exchange Facebook page. I posted my Cape Breton GPS tracks there and you can download them.
we have some great places for atvs unfortunately there regulating it to death.we need some common sense law makers as we are failing our atvers and tourists besides.i may make this run someday as it looks like fun
I completely agree that everything is being regulated to death in this province. I hope you do the Cape Breton run, it's a lot of fun. Thanks for watching Alan.

Thanks for posting this Patrick, we are doing this trip on the May long weekend, bit of a practise run before the Newfoundland trip in July.
