      I think so too, Jean! I made that napkin ring for her years ago, and was pleased that she allowed me to use it for this. Thanks for watching, Darlin’! 😁😁❤️💞💗

    Very well done, thorough review, Gord! Those rotary accessories look to be very well made and easy to use. You did a great job demonstrating them! I do know you have to do "something" like the paint you used but I wonder if just applying tape (painters tape?) where you want to do the engraving would work? I don't think it would have to be black, just not clear. Easy enough to just pull the tape off if that would work. Enjoyed the video, my friend, keep'em coming! 😃

      I tried it with blue painters' tape, Phil, and it didn't work well. It left a bit of a mark on the glass but you really had to look for it. Maybe it just needs to be black?? I should have tried using electrical tape but I didn't think of it and it's all put away now. Maybe next time! Take care, buddy!

      @@GordonRock1 Yeah, maybe the black absorbs more heat. I suppose some black duct tape might work. They also make black cloth tape. I guess I should try it myself! LOL!

    ...hmmm...Atomstack...perfect name for a 3D printer...but they should've created another division for this product and named it Atomstrip...!
    By the way...thanks for stressing the safety glasses issue. I worked with several types of lasers in the past and know the dangers...it's always good to reiterate the necessity when reviewing laser products...
    And it's good to see 'ya again...👍

      There are times when I believe people don’t take seriously the need for safety. Not just with safety glasses, but in every other area of our hobby or construction work. We only get one pair of eyes so we need to take care of them.
      Thanks for the kind words, Matt. It’s good to be seen! 😁😁😁

    Fantastic review Gord and I really like the fact that this can be used on other lasers which is a big bonus.
    Looking forward to next weeks video.
    Take care my friend.

    PS I don't mind that thee isn't a prize. LOL.

    • @GordonRock1

      Yes, I think that is a huge bonus, Huw. Anyone who already has a different laser engraver can use this rotary roller package and it's a fantastic package.
      Whoo, what a relief. I thought I might have to come up with a prize and I don't have anything to offer! Also, I can't imagine what the shipping would cost from me to you! 🤣😂

    Another great review Gord. You engraved some pretty cool things. Looks to be well built equipment and I am sure the company will be very happy with your great review.
    You might want to try out some Prang Tempura paint. Cleans off with water. Might not be as easy to apply but I have used the sponge brushes. A airbrush just might do the trick.
    Take care,
    Gary

      I have heard of tempura paint, but never used it, Gary. I guess I will have to look for it. Cleaning with water would certainly be easier! Applying with sponge brushes would be great as they certainly are cheap enough. Thanks for the tip, my friend.
      Stay well,

    Useful and informative demo, thx you! I haven’t taken the plunge yet but I’d like to engrave the bottom of wood turnings, e.g., bowls, platters (functional or “artistic”), etc. instead of hand lettering or attaching coins …

    • @GordonRock1
      @GordonRock1  Год назад

      I’m glad you liked it, Mark. One of these days, I think I would like to engrave the bottom of some bowls, as well. I do still like using the logo coins, though. I might have to do a combination of them. Thanks for watching!

  • @mitch1632
    @mitch1632 Год назад

    Noticed the tumbler had a larger diameter at the top and smaller at the bottom. Did the burner instructions allow for this difference?

    • @GordonRock1
      @GordonRock1  Год назад

      There was no mention of it in the instructions, Mitch. The top 3 inches was pretty much flat, and then started to taper from there. As I was burning on that top 3 inches I didn’t worry about it. I just made sure that it was level. Thanks for watching!
