    Great video.
    Here are just a few extra tips on using the submission form (in no particular order):
    Check off EACH and EVERY section... even if it is to decline that particular service
    (when applicable).
    Registered u.s.p.s. mail WILL be the domestic return shipping (unless otherwise indicated).
    Indicate total quantity of coins submitted in the last box (very important).
    Please pay attention to the tiers. Attempting to submit coins with higher value on a
    lower tier (in order to save $$) will not work.
    Unfortunately, special requests (written on the form) cannot be granted.
    Avoid using packaging tape anywhere near coins... bad things can happen.
    Sturdy, plastic flips and rubber bands work best!
    Thank you very much! And keep your coins coming!
    Someone from the receiving dept

    Just wanna ta make a stop, & say "Nice How -To-Video!!!" My intial assumption of this process seemed pretty major & has completely deterred me from submitting any coins..I've even trucked off 2 yrs of my 4 free submissions thru my membership with PCSG because of the tediousness that came wit the submisions process!..#DAMNIT! 🤦‍♀️ But watching this has put my mind (& my anxiety...) far more @ ease! & will be giving it a go in the next few days!!! Great review RHC! I am toying with the bulk submission option but hesitant to spend the dough. If I send quantity and have a good experience I will have a new submitting addiction, no doubt! Let you know if I try it.

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  4 года назад

      I actually asked NGC about the bulk submission option. They said that the bulk submission qualifies for submission of a lot of coins...of the same type. So to take advantage of this option, you would need to submit, for example, 300 1921 Morgans to be graded by NGC. So it's not just based on the total quantity of the coins being submitted, unfortunately :\ Hope that helps!

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  2 месяца назад

      @user-sn1jf8up8e your best bet is to go to a reputable coin dealer and ask their opinion on the coin. The coin grading companies will email you and tell you if you made a mistake on the value only if, they can make more money off the grading. If you over value the coin, they will not contact you. Their main concern is making money. Also a good rule of thumb for getting a coin graded is that the coin should be worth about $300 or more to offset the cost of the coin itself and the grading fees. I hope this helps.

    what is the "MSPF" designation? and how/who determines the value of the coin to be entered on the submission form? thanks new to all this

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  3 года назад

      Hi, Mint State MS AND Proof PF refer to the type of coin you're sending in for grading. MS are also known as business strike coins aka coins in everyday circulation. Proof PF, coins are collector grade coins that are specifically designed for collectors and are noted by having certain features such as, mirrored fields and frosty highlights etc.
      The value of the coin is determined by it's rarity and condition. But you can look that up in the red book and give an estimated value when submitting your coins. The grading company will let you know if they think you undervalued them but a safe bet is to go to your local coin shop (LCS) and ask the dealer if they can tell you what your coin or coins are valued at.
      Great question and I hope that my answer helps you.

    • @RavenHawkCoins

      The account number they're referring to.is if you have your own label printer at home and an established account. You'll just take your package to the post office and send it that way with insurance for your coins. Hope that helps. Thank you for your support and watching!

      @RavenHawkCoins  2 года назад +1

      The best advice I can give you is to get a Red Book. It will tell you the retail value of your coins and how to determine their grade. If you have a good Local Coin Shop or LCS you can ask your coin dealer to look at them after you have determined what you think is the nicer/more valuable coins in your collection. If you have more questions email me ravenhawkcoins@gmail.com

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  Год назад

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  Месяц назад +1

      @gary8033 if you're able to afford the whole set to be graded. It's best to keep it in plastic, in my opinion. If you crack it out, make sure to wear gloves. If your fingerprints get on the coins, it will mess them up

    Thank you for that answer how about coins that were purchased from the United States mint and encased in plastic such as uncirculated and proof coins would they be sent in as MS

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  3 года назад

      Uncirculated would be an MS set... Proof would go as PF cause PF literally stands for proof. The grading company can and will grade a set if you pay for it of course lol. It's also better to send it in original packaging. This guarantees that your coin won't get some weird designation or issue. Packaging can literally make all the difference. 😎

    • @gozroy
      @gozroy Год назад +1

      @@RavenHawkCoins don't know if you will read this. To continue with this argument, if I send the coin with the original capsule that came in, do you know if it will be returned? Or not? My issue is that the capsule that came with the coin fits perfectly with a standing frame that came with it, therefore I wanted to keep the capsule just in case I will need to sell someday. Regards.

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  Год назад

      @gozroy if the coin is made with a capsul and known to be that way, then keep it on the capsul. But if it's an aftermarket capsule that someone put the coin in for a stand, then you need to remove it from the capsule and put it in a large plastic non pvc holder.

  • @Lifessweetgifts
    @Lifessweetgifts 2 года назад +1

    How do you know approximately what they are worth???

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  2 года назад

      Great question. In the Red Book it explains what to look for in the grade of a coin at the beginning of each coin section. Then take your best educated guess if the grade and look at the corresponding spot i.e. MS63 if that's the grade you think the coin will get and look at the price. That price is what you would declare the coins value. If it's a VG then you pick VG price for the estimated value.

    Hello my friend, I am new in buying and selling currencies and I have many currencies and I do not know how to work on the NGC program. I also live in Jordan. Is there a way to sell my currencies quickly and I will sell them at a low price? I hope you will help me and thank you

      A lot of people use Ebay to sell currency. It's a good source for sales.

    Do I put the form in with the coins in the box? I have ancients to grade and it seems the form is only pdf. So do I sent it in with the coin or ahead of time?

    • @RavenHawkCoins

      When it's done via the NGC website, it goes to them automatically. If you download the pdf, all filled out you ship it in the box with the coins.

    How do I find the value of the coin?

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  2 года назад

      You can look it up in a red book or ask your local dealer what they think the grade and value will be.

    • @RavenHawkCoins
      @RavenHawkCoins  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for checking out this video, Jason! You need to sign up for a membership at NGC. Then after signing up, you can go the SUBMIT section of your NGC account homepage to start your submission. I did my submission online, but I decided to print out the hard copy of the submission form just for this video. Here's the link to the submission forms:

      You make an educated guess based on what you think the coin will grade at. You can look up the price in a grey sheet or red book.

    Wide range of Miss information on RUclips misleading values of coins and who submits these coins is it the dealer or any collector can do this submission of coins

      Sorry that you've been bombarded with misinformation, Gul! That is what inspired me to do this video, so I can tell you my experience of grading with NGC, myself. Both collectors like you and me AND coin dealers can submit coins to NGC. But if you decide to use a dealer, they will also charge you for "submission" fee.
