Didn’t expect this! Mightily impressed with this, the Weefun Tina2 Pro. As in the video, this would make a great gift for someone as the ongoing costs are small.
That's a pretty cool little machine. Might be a good gift for my nephews. Silk filiment is fussy because it's modified with an elastomer which is chemically similar to those flexible materials. Generally that makes it a fair bit harder to stick the stuff down and it is a lot less mechanically strong. I'm a mechanical engineer at a polymer extrusion company. I've been building custom 3d printers for a couple years now. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you or anyone else has about the technology.
I absolutely LOVE my Tina2. The only problem is using it with Cura. My cutter walls keep printing as infill. Downloaded Arachne Engine but there isn’t a printer profile for Weedo/Weefun Tina 2. If you could do a video on adding the Tina 2 as a custom FFF printer would be awesome
i just received mine and I love it! But I couldn't figure out to control it via wifi, even following the instructions of the manual :( Are you still planning to release a video explaining the pro features???
Hi there, I may do that. I personally find moving sd card from pc to machine easier and more reliable, but I get that Wi-Fi has its advantages. I’ll look into it more.
The silk filament is a bit fussy. It should work with yours, might need to play with settings as you get experience. That’s not a bad little printer. Bought the spouse one for Christmas, might just get myself one now.
Hi there, I have it set to 55 / 55 / 100 but this may not be the best depending on your filament. Start close then print and then if it sticks to the mat but gets tangled, move it up and try again. If it gets pulled off the mat it needs to be closer. Its trial and error
I had this issue. I changed filament and made sure that it was able to rotate to feed and all was well. If there is any sort of friction it will struggle to move through.
Hi Thanks for the video Helped parents on Christmas Day Just one thing We have the basic model when you pause print to change filament nothing happens and when you try resume the print nothing happens?!? I had to stop and save but then not able to change colour and was lumpy ? Maybe one isn’t meant to change colour? TIA
@cherrylfulton5646 nope, it was the first few times that I used it that it would immediately stop at the same part ( I tried printing out a default piece various times but for some reason the machine just wouldn't finish the piece)
Do you know how to fix the fan? I recently broke my fan accidentally by touching it. I got replacement, but it still didn’t work. Both fans probably work, but it just doesn’t spin
I believe Weefun has upgraded the Tina2 Pro to the newer Tina 2s which looks like it is the same as the pro but has a heated PEI printing plate which no longer requires the masking tape. Also the Tina 2s can easily print using the PLA Silk filament using the standard settings especially with the heated plate.
Hi! I just got one of these, and could really use some advise. I've downloaded the app, but it requires a verification code. Where did you get the code from, because I cannot find it anywhere. Next, all of their website details seem to be down, I cannot download the Wiibuilder or anything. Do you have any idea if maybe I am using the wrong download link, and do you have the real one?
Pretty sure everyone who ever 3D printed has that cat. No benchy boat? And the "mesh base" is called a raft, and you should be able to remove that in the slicer. You shouldn't need a raft for that stuff you're printing.
Like I said in the video. First printer, everything is an experience. Wanted to show that even people with no experience can do it without getting put off by jargon
@@CTAtechdesk Raft is the correct term for that part of the print. That is what the slicer program will list it as. "Jargon" may seem off-putting, but how are you going to advance with something if you don't know the correct names for things? Rafts and brims are how you help items that don't like to stick to the plate stick better. Those items should stick fine without a raft, even with an unheated bed.
There are a lot of good reasons to choose this, not the least of which is price. This is often on sale at Amazon for as little as $120 and I got mine for $105. Ender 3 is also open, which isn't the best if you have curious toddlers. There is something to be said for enclosures.
Yes but it's mostly for kids 10+ and safer for them also they won't be printing huge stuff or using several materials and lastly tweaking the big machines and slicer settings could be hard for someone who has no knowledge

Эх, печально, но сейчас дорогая вещь, но очень крутая:)
What’s the app called

It will not let me use wiibuilder because it says it can not be verified.

Can i use Tinker cad with this?
Yes
what height for z-offset would you recommend? all my filament does is get all stringy and matted up

Filament is not loading. Purging gives the sound but the filament not moving. Going to return this.
I had this issue. I changed filament and made sure that it was able to rotate to feed and all was well. If there is any sort of friction it will struggle to move through.
Can you connect it to a android tablet ?
Hey I’m going to get this
Hi
Thanks for the video

Just one thing

TIA
Could you please share the link where to get the turntable fort he fillament? Thank you!
Done. HTH 👍🏻
Mine just stopped in the middle of printing and wouldnt resume
Did you run out of filament?
@cherrylfulton5646 nope, it was the first few times that I used it that it would immediately stop at the same part ( I tried printing out a default piece various times but for some reason the machine just wouldn't finish the piece)
@@JinxedToTheCore oh sorry I'm not sure about that.
Same
got mine yesterday and your video helped so much
What is the glue stick for. Thank you

how to fix when nozzle just scrapping the bed
You need to adjust it. Start with an automatic fix. Then adjust the axis. It’s in the settings.
super helpfull video i subscribe btw :)
What is your personal review on it is it seriously is really good printer?
Hi, I'm very new with 3D printing and I have this printer too. What is the best settings for high quality print?
They should make a bigger one that is like 36 inches tall and 28 inches long
Getting this soon. can't wait to use it. Nice and compact and not bad price at all
Might be... returning to this video a couple of times too xD

how do you upload the imagies?

I don’t use the app. I download all my files to the sd card that came with it. Then print from that. I found it the easiest way.
I need to get a star trek emblem were will i be able to find one. My stepdad needs a stand for his ships could i make one on this machine.
Thingiverse is the best place to find stuff. HTH
Any advice or settings for printing with TPU? I've had great success with PLa but don't know where to start with TPU.
On ultimate cura slicer, Tpu should work fine if you change the filament to tpu
This video was super helpful as a new printer. Thank you!
Just got the basic printer with no experience at all. This has been a absolute dream thankyou
Привет из Украины, эх, такой классный принтер, мечтал о таком:)
Yes, but how does it work if the SD card craps out after 2 ejections and I have to now use the USB cable??
Download it all from the website onto a new SD card. 👍🏻
Hi can I ask how long does it take to print, mine says downloading 20% for ages now
Printing depends on how big the project is. Is it physically printing?
You said you would link the place to download wiibuilder from the website but theres no link
Yeah, the link keeps being removed from the official website. Keep an eye on tina2 homepage.
@@CTAtechdesk does cura 2 work also?
Would be amazing if it had a heated bed, I'd be in for a few of them if it did, this is a really neat little machine.
Yeah. That would be good, but also more expensive most likely. This does the job at cheap.
What software does it on run on to slice and print
I use WiiBuilder from their website
What size filament does it take?
1.75mm
is that file is .stl or gcode?
can i using NX design for this machine?
I download .stl from thingiverse and the program converts it to gcode which goes onto the sd card
@@CTAtechdesk thank you but what is the program converts?

I'd say to just get an ender 3.

Is it possible to “split” prints that are too large for the relatively small bed! Very limited on space and this is the only 3D printer I can fit!
