As an experienced detailer with shop background, its hard to find anything in terms of advanced clearcoat correcting methods. There are a lot of beginning videos but hard to find more advanced stuff. Keep the info coming man. Even after years of this, there is still a lot to learn and bad habits to unlearn. Great work buddy.
I Recently did a clear coat repair, got a new gun to shoot the clear coat, but I did not spend enough time getting the settings right and had horrible orange peel. I followed the guidance and purchased the products in this video and was very happy with the results. Thank you for this instructional video, it made repairing my mistake very easy. The Osren products are very good and I will be a future customer. Thanks again.
Hey Joe, thank you for the sharing. A moment like this that reminds us what we are doing is making a difference! And totally worth our effort in producing such videos
Im new to painting but have practicing and finally painted my '79 Firebird gloss white. It has a very slight orange peel so im trying this method next paycheck. Thank you for your help and very good video!
Really good video. Concise and informative. Most of the other detailing channels I have looked at are needlessly long winded. You guys have got it dead right. Well done.
Malaysian people are some of the nicest people I have ever come across and your videos are extremely helpful and detailed for someone like me who is trying to enter the detailing world. Thank you for creating this content and best regards to you from us in London :). Looking forward to more vids
You Rock !!!!! You just made my life so much easier. Just re sprayed 4 fenders with 2k max and got lots of orange peel This will make my job so much easier to do Thanks !!!
Glad you find it useful. Meantime have a look at our improved formulation of orange peel removal with nao leveler 56 : ruclips.net/video/rnN8o8ibI0g/видео.html We improved it over the years :D
Wow I’ve never heard of denim pads… definitely going to give this a shot. Had a client with orange peel and a budget that could t afford the sanding process. Maybe this will get us a good enough result for cheaper!
hi ..osren saya dari indonesia saya sangat suka dengan video" anda.i am a beginer for detailing.. i try a denim pad and so very efektif, you are my virtual teacher.
Cutting with sand paper and polishing is easier for people who are new at it, because with the sand paper method you can tell that the orange peel is off completely or not because of the dull surface, this method would be more difficult because it's polishing and cutting at the same time and you can't tell the depth of the clear. Plus a rotary polisher is for much more advance people
Using denim pad will not leave any scratch mark like sanding would... If u buff it really well after sanding it flat... The scratch mark will appear back after 3 to 4 month... Thats why i like to use the denim pad... But takes a lot of practice though...
Hey Samy, do check out our latest video on levelling as well, we have an updated version of formulation for levelling, and this method is safer and more user-friendly: ruclips.net/video/0ZMGqMqr1XM/видео.html
Thank you for the video, I was so upset with my results , I had alot of orange peel, and I didn't want to sand and buff, that I gave up. So next weekend I will do what you have done to this car. Looks great
Good video, very easy to see the substantial benefit of this process, I will try this on my roof spoiler if I can find the pad seen here, I too have never heard of a denim pad, i have always used foam, wool, or microfibre.
cool vid, trying to figure out the best way to get rid of orange peel on my mando helmets that's quick and consistent so i can get them super shiny when i apply graphite powder.

You expect Larry Kosilla to come here to watch this video? Or maybe Darren Priest from Auto Fetish Detail or Junkman2000 :D Well this is kinda different technique for them. From what I know, american don't use denim material for removing lite orange peel.
@@danhenderson783 i agree..using good rubber block is the way to go imo...start with a small section and go through all the steps to get results you want then go over the entire car after inspecting each panels orange peel ...some panels may be much better or worse. not one comment here after 7 years of anyone that actually used this process...which pretty much says it all...

so this really flattens orange peel as good as wet sanding? did you ever do 2 panels side by side using both methods and compare results and time required??? thank you..
Hi Roadstar499! If you love wet / dry sanding, stick to em 👍🏻. If you’d like to try it out, click the link! 😆 Anyway, this is a good question and one that cannot be answered via test and video comparison. It is a personal preference thinge 😄 PS: The Perfect 50 and Denim pads get rid of sand scratches very easily too! 😉
Hey, levelling can be done on both levelling and on a dual action polisher. For the alternate dual action levelling, you may refer to our new formulation : ruclips.net/video/rnN8o8ibI0g/видео.html
What about doing this method on single stage paint job? I haven’t applied the clear coat, but i wanted to attempt to get rid of the orange peel on the color first
Hi Logan, Good question. Yes you may level the color coat before applying the clear coat. It will look better. However, you wanna make sure that no oils or unwanted solvents and particles to be around before layering the clear coat.
Excellent video, very informative. I tried the Orsen denim pad and the Orsen Perfect 50 fast cut. The fast cut turned into a grey paste on the car. Didn't cut the orange peel, any suggestions? I prepared the pad with the fast cut just like the video.
hey hawk, we will need more information to help you troubleshoot. Do run us through you process in details, including machine speed, hand speed and working time. If the orange peel doesn't get flatten, it means it is not levelled or not enough cutting is performed
I prepared orsen denim 160mm pad just like you did with orsen perfect 50 fast cut compound. I applied some perfect 50 to the hood. Using a torq10fx I spread the compound at speed of 15, it began to get sticky, I increased speed to 30 then to 35. Compound then just stuck to paint as a grey mud. I had to teeter the pad to cut into the compound to break it up. It then flew around in grey soft chunks. I kept on with cutting. Repeated about 4 times then gave up. I noticed a very slight change in the paint reflection.
@@slphawk37 We would recommend using the perfect 50 with a rotary polisher, the pad that you mentioned, it is made for rotary. It's thicker and using a dual action would not produce the same transfer of cutting power (cushioned by the thick foam) For dual action polisher levelling, we recommend nao leveler 56 with a thinner 6mm denim pad. The grey soft chunks are most likely the dried up polish abrasive with dirt infused (it happens). Check the latest video on leveling with a dual action polisher : ruclips.net/video/rnN8o8ibI0g/видео.html Oh btw, a tutorial video is coming up tonight

Can you do it on a black matt lacquer?
