I liked but the new Greg was not bad.
His laugh is just as beautiful as his voice.

We saw Tootsie last week in New York and saw the preview in Chicago in October. This gentleman is amazingly talented. I was impressed that he took this opportunity to so graciously work in the names of so many colleagues during this interview. Sharing the credit rather than holding the spotlight on himself makes him a class act in my book. He deserves his success!

If I just heard him, and not seen him, thanks to my 4 kids, would have totally recognized him as Prince Hans of the Southern Isles.
Queen Elsa Of Arendelle I'm not a fan of that twist, to put it mildly. The abrupt shift from "likeable but impulsive secondary lead" to "gloating Saturday morning-cartoon supervillain" leaves a really nasty taste in my mouth, and I feel like there were numerous better ways of portraying Hans whilst retaining the "Don't rush into marriage" message. However, Santino did his best with what he had, and "Love Is An Open Door" is one of my favourite songs from Frozen...
I miss you old Greg Serrano, you won my heart in Frozen and I didn't even know it, but you locked it in when you sang CXG's Shit Show 😍

I recognized him by his voice! Was watching CXG and I had this feeling, on the back of my head that I knew him somehow even though I was certain I never saw his face before, then during the taco festival date I just shouted HANS! at my cellphone LOL

I watched tootsie yesterday and I was passing by Radio City tonight where I randomly saw him after Tony awards! Amazing actor 👌🏻

I'm a '90s kid, but my music taste consists of past decades before I was born and I still remember the first time I watched the movie Tootsie most especially it was associated with my all-time favourite song, It Might Be You. Congrats! Dustin would be proud!

YES HONEY I MISS U ON CXG, its so different without him. Felt heartbreaking.
Ah, Mr. Fontana, always a charmer! But wow, was he contractually obligated to credit all those people on the musical? He tried to be smooth about it (and with that amazing voice and smile, he's very smooth) but it still felt forced and awkward. Nevertheless, it's great to see him get more exposure, and on a superficial note - who knew a brown suit could look so good?
Also shocked he says he is never recognized by his voice. Online many, MANY people freaked out when they realized while watching CXG that he was Hans. Maybe he just meant in person?
Melissa Dana I feel like he isn't recognised in person, because Hans' speaking voice is pretty similar to the other Disney princes. Many Disney villains have very distinctive voices, but Hans is essentially designed to sound like the "charming but generic" romantic lead he initially seems to embody...
I cannot help it when I say that when I close my eyes, all I here is Hans. LOL And also, his name is possibly the most Italian-sounding name I have ever heard.

wow crazy ex girlfriend was not even mentioned although more people know him from that show than anything else he did. Colbert must have been instructed not to mention it. It really is sad that he split from CXG on bad terms - he was a great original Greg.

What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure he didn't leave on bad terms. He had other commitments, and then he got Tootsie.
@@debbiedoodiedandi Apparently he was not willing to wait to see if they would get renewed for season 2 and accepted other offers, so the CXG people had to write him off the show pretty quickly in season 2, which was not planned. Rachel Bloom is very supportive on social media about all her co-stars but has not said anything about Santino since he left, nor liked/commented on his posts. Same the other way around, Santino does not speak about the show, although he was a big part of it initially.
Actors usually don't talk about their past jobs in interviews about their new shows. Also, there are plenty of interviews where Santino has addressed that he left crazy ex-girlfriend because he wanted to be with his wife and he missed New York. He has constantly said he was open to returning if he had time and if they could write him back in.
Crazy ex-girlfriend isn't very popular outside of the small fanbase so i don't think it means much that Colbert didn't mention it. Frozen is much more well known than CXG
Also, he signed on when CXG was a half hour cable show, then CXG got picked up as an hour long show on a major network. He upheld his 1 season contract but did not renew for season 2. Multiple CXG cast & crew have posted on social that they have gone to see Tootsie as well. That he left on "bad terms" has been hyped. I'm sure Rachel Bloom & co. were disappointed to have to rework their plan for his character, but nothing negative has been said publicly by either side.
LOL...Stephen Colbert thinks he's a star. Tonight, Fontana will take home a Tony Award.
