I Investigated the World's Deadliest Train

- Thank you, guys so much for watching and making this possible!
Did you know that Mumbai's local railways are considered one of the deadliest in the world? According to a report by the National Crime Records Bureau, there were over 3,000 deaths on the railway tracks in Mumbai in 2019 alone. That's an average of 8 deaths every day!
The overcrowded trains, lack of proper safety measures, and people crossing the tracks are some of the primary reasons behind these accidents. It's high time we take steps to improve the safety of our local railways and prevent such tragic incidents from happening.
Let's raise awareness and demand action from our authorities to make our local railways safer for everyone.

It's like the emptiest train I've ever seen in my entire life.
True 😂 I wish they must visit kurla once
What you said about 40 times more packed, I have been in rush hour on those trains and it is literally 10x more packed than that, easily. There is even a technique, almost like fluid mechanics to enter and exit the train. If you want to stay on at a particular station, either be sitting or standing flat against the wall of the carriage. When you want to get out, just step two steps forward away from the wall and you will automatically exit at the next station.
If you visit any major cities and use their metro during the rush hours, it's the same story.
I have no doubt that it gets busier than that second train. It's less packed than a Toronto subway train during rush hour to be completely honest.
Just a small disclaimer:
People of Mumbai love their local , and if anyone say anything negative about train they will get triggered ,
I was once talking to one of my friends from Mumbai about how dangerous local is , its crowded and everything ,
And he became very mad 😂 ,
yeah its kinda sad lol i didnt even say anything bad about them haha and people are crying like i destroyed it
Yeah people would love even the worst conditioned trains , such l@me Mumbai ppl are 🥴
I am that one crying woman who will hate if people say anything about mumbai local.. it’s not the fault of mumbai local but the overpopulated city which gets immigrants on daily basis from different parts of india. Mumbai locals are the best if you choose the correct time to travel.. In our office hours , we don’t spare anyone to make lames excuses of not able to board and unboard train within 30 seconds 🤣🤣🤣 - mumbaikar bai
@@KFergy local train is safe but due to carelessness & overcrowded it becomes unsafe. Many times youths lean out of the door performing some stunt for Insta reel video . Last year a young boy was hit by pole since was shooting video in fast moving local train leaning out of door. He got hit by electric pole & died on the spot. (This is when it’s dangerous)
@@MetaverserebelieverYESSS 🎉
Aiman was great he taught you a lot about trains but actually you need a person from Mumbai who travels in local train regularly. Mumbai local are not deadly if you follow the rules , it’s the people who make it miserable.
Very True
yefr!
Per capita death rate in train accidents in India is 0.013, compared to 0.033 in Europe and 0.035 in the United States. This means that, on average, there are 13 deaths per million train passengers in India, compared to 33 deaths per million train passengers in Europe and 35 deaths per million train passengers in the United States.
and the real kicker is like 80% of the deaths in the US are murders/suicides on trains or in the stations not even from the actual trains. nice google copy paste btw
@@KFergyIf you get killed in train by some crazy guy that will be much more dangerous man
@funhub5316 I mean it’s the same dying is dying lol this ain’t about being killed by people it’s about media saying the trains in Mumbai kill lots of people
@@KFergy when you say murder do you mean like intentional ones or like the non intentional ones?
I think Mumbai local is definitely very dangerous and people are very careless ... If connectivity become better things will be better , like mega metro construction is going on , after completion it will definately reduce huge amount of burden from Mumbai local ...
There are absolutely no incidents of Mumbai locals (Suburban trains) where the trains themselves collided ever. It's usually people falling off the train or crossing the tracks. Stop giving a bad rep to Mumbai locals.
Foreigner always try to degrade all that is there in India but as Mumbaikar I feel shameful when Mumbaikar themselves over hype or over insult the emotion ...
Mumbai commute is horrible and not safe.
Well from statistics and leaked videos and shared videos on the internet, YES it's UNSAFE, don't sugar coat deadly stuff because it hurts your feelings
Everyone has an opinion guys why isnthere a war in the comments?
@@AzureGhost117 Well he's right about Mumbai locals being safe when it comes to collisions or derailment. It is unsafe when you see stats because people cross tracks without a care in the world and people jump off or do stupid things.
The trains are not dangerous people are 💀🤣
the story of this video for sure lol
So true tho
@@KFergyrying the way to earn views by putting a title to antagonize the railways which statistics wise is much better than Europe with a guy who hasn't even travelled by local like ever aka virtually getting a tour by an outsider...
If you are smart you would do what locals do.. you would climb and out with people it's easy. And not deadly at all..
A person who was a regular could have given you a better experience than a newbie..
look up some of the deadliest railways in the world and mumbai comes up. i didnt just wakeup and decide to makeup lies for fun

You must take a train ride on the Vande Bharat Express! In fact, Mumbai local trains will get replaced with Air Conditioned Vande Bharat coaches as the Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) began procuring 238 Vande Bharat Metro (suburban) trains, 2,856 Vande Metro coaches, according to reports.
Just tried it the other day! It was awesome, I’ll have a vid in it soon
It might also be fair to call out that Mumbai has the terminus locations for two of the top 2 busiest (#1 & #2) commuter railway lines in the world.
9:10 mostly these people don't get hurt,bc they use their 6sense. Mostly accident happens to the careless passengers and at the crossing, or during crossing randomly without looking properly.
yeah ive seen some bad videos showing it. but either way its definitely not safe to be out there during picking up peak hours. train honks and he goes to move all it takes is a slip or twisted ankle and his lifes in harms way
As a Northeastern Indian who visited Mumbai for the first time when I was just 9 years old, the local train ride fully traumatized me 😅😂

You travelled on Western railway, try travelling on Central Railway. You should have visited CSMT than Churchgate. Catch a train to Thane from CSMT at 5pm. Enjoy the adventure.
glad to see youtube recommended this
glad you watched it!
Try to get on at 6 pm borivali fast local train, you will understand what pack stands for.
i-man seems like a cool guy, would love to see him in more vids
you were probably in what we call slow local,no one boards it because its slower.
had to have been cause that first ride seemed not real

I just found this RUclips channel, and I am completely sucked in. You are such a good content creator.
Kindly change the video title its way misleading....its not the train thats dangerous...people are...impatient and petty people😂
i agree dude, just for click bait .
Well New York doesn't have Rail as i know, only have metro (which is not that good, it's crazy, rusty, dusty , people does almost everything there) . India has much more people than any other countries, and i would say it's not that good infrastructure comparison to west so it does make sense (it's cheap, takes less time, atleast safe than road to me ) .
Completely agree that’s exactly what Aimaan said in the video 👍 also NY metros are riddled with people drugging up and harassing you too lol it’s pretty bad
This wasn't even packed 😭
If you want to try the most crowded local train.. you should try Bongaon local in Kolkata.. it's a route which connects sealdah and one of the border area of Bangladesh
Ahh yes 😂😂
The death Valley route of India
😂exactly bro
that guy on tracks was ragpicker and that train wasn't even crowded😂
man that was the least crowded mumbai local i have ever seen .. on a good day the train is atleast 10x more densely packed
My suggestions will be, don't trust a person who have not used the local trains for 14 years at a stretch, there are high chances that you will be misinformed and misguided.
My friend choose wisely for better clarity.
Welcome to India....
Mumbai local during the rush hour 7-10am and 6-8pm is the worst place to be in specially Virar local.
By the way, local trains in other Metropolitan cities are way better and far less crowded.
travel between 8am to 10 am 😅 thats when its busy..take a train from malad to churchgate
Awesome vlog bro. Yes the Indian people are careless in their safety. Be it on trains or while riding motorcycles.
Thanks sunny 👍
Bro if ur at Dadar then why don't you come in bhayandar
@@KFergyBro come to Bangladesh.

Bro I'm a local and i assure you what you thought was packed is what we call empty , if you really wanna se a packed train travel between 7-9 in 2nd class from churchgate to virar
yeah i went around 5ish i was just following what my friend and people at the stations told me. im sure its way worse the later it gets
I'm from near Mumbai (Thane)
This isnt something that we call crowded
What u said is 40× packed, would be miracle for people during peak hours
Actual crowded trains would be atleast twice/thrice the amount of people
You deserve more followers 🙏
He also deserves more views
hopefully one day man appreciate it!
I can feel from the camera how much scared you were...😂 omg...well done...👍
Do try the metros if youre in india, its kind of like the underground in london, but aboveground!
yeah its pretty nice
9:43 Being resident of Dadar thats more of emptiest train I'v seen 😂
I love riding the local trains. Accidents are mostly because some people think, they are too smart. It's good to be smart but not oversmart. Even when the trains are empty, I see people standing near the doors. Some people cross the railway tracks, even when they can see a train is arriving. I can say 80% of the deaths can be easily avoided if the people follow rules. There is a local train after every 6 mins. People can just wait for 10-15 mins for a train which is not very crowded.
yup exactly what the last guy was saying he just waits for whatever ones come by that arnt very crowded which makes sense!
At 5:03 there was Western Railway, AC local behind, Mumbai has metro, monorail and AC and Non AC local trains. If you want to avoid rush hour don't take the local trains from 7 am to 10 am and 4pm to 6pm. Also Mumbai Locals were dangerous in the 1980s and 1990s now the safety levels have improved tremendously.
Bro didn't travel in rush hour so this video is tagged as "Fake".😂😂
Where I live they actually have the doors of the trains closed all the time until they are fully stopped
I had a very bad experience in local train i saw one man he was trying to save a kid that was the track he pushed the kid on the platform then his legs got crushed between the
Train I was very shocked as a teenager at that time
Jesus that sound horrific, sorry you had to see that. Hope the persons alright
The person who hit by the pole survived he was in coma for 3 weeks and had a brain damage and lost a littlepart of his skull he is still alive but cant leave a normal life had little to no memory of his past
Local are not dangerous at all the accidents happened only because of the carelessness of people.. and totally disagree with the girl 6:40 I have seen many videos when people saved lives of peoples who are just carelessly hanging outside the train
people save peoples lives with guns but they are also still used to kill people in bad acts too? everything is a double edge sword so you cant say she wrong cause it happens both ways.
This is a video documenting about how somehow someway lots of people die on the trains here and im just asking people why. its that simple
@@KFergy But it's a normal for us nothing crazy, if train is over crowded then we wait for next one cause there is train in every 5-6min.
When I was a child I used to hear this type of accidents but now specifically after covid this types of accidents are under control and as Metro and Ac locals are undergoing Mumbai public transport will hopefully going to be more safe.. 👍🏼 sorry for any grammatical mistakes.. My English is not that good
@@fantasy_analysti do agree with u . People save more lives then being heartless and want to harm other person to save themselves. Her perspective gives a negative impression in overall which isn't true.

It’s crazy to me that the trains don’t have doors
Come to Delhi or gurugram my guy try out the metros aswell they're quite different than what riding a local train feels like but it's totally a good experience❤❤ welcome to India BTW hope you will achieve what you came here for and have some good memories❤❤
One thing you should know about Mumbai locals.
They are not, ABSOLUTELY NOT, for the faint and weak hearted.
Though crammed like sardines in a tin, they are actually one of India's best suburban services. There's a train to every destination of Mumbai by the minutes.
In short, if Mumbai were not Mumbai, one of the reasons would be the local trains.
Nice video wishing you to get more subscribers
We are proud of Indian Railway,,, for ordinary people they are working hard to make their journey as comfortable as possible❤🚅
Hey! Did u visit Kerala? It's amazing!
Hey, if you are still in Mumbai, I would like to give you a guided tour
Where have u been for long time ?
On many indian states people walk on track and near my home in india some guy got hit by a train and his body fell near my home
And its not crowded at all 😂
What else could you expect from a free ride 😂
10:00 🤣🤣🤣🤣that's crowded 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fucking hell dude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Come to Wadala and try Andheri, Virar, Goregaon, Dombivali during peak hours.
I hope you don't get back problems after you successfully exit the train 😂😂😂
This was not crowded at all. Any European metro or Japanese train is more crowded than this. And mumbai local trains are not the deadliest since they have lesser per capita deaths than european trains. Stop trying to make an issue out of nothing. 4 Million travel everyday day, multiply that by 365. And 2022 had 2200 deaths mostly which were caused by the people themselves, not the train.
If you ask a Mumbai guy about the train they will say one thing that it was not at all packed it's kind of empty for Mumbai people's
Honestly, handling this much population in a country is an extremely difficult job.
@@adityashah1353 Mumbai has a high working population from various economic classes. It’s is not that one lives near their workplace. Working near your house can be a privilege here. Local trains have been in mumbai ever since the British run the first one from bori bundar to Thane. So people here are used to the trains always running. Most people are used to trains here. And it’s not like every person here owns a vehicle or needs to. Travelling from one end of mumbai to another can take upto even 3/3.5 hours. Therefore, local trains are preferred by most people here, except probably the very privileged. And hence the basic local train ticket is very very cheap compared to the metro. That’s why the locals are crowded. But there will be time durations except the office hours when the local could be completely empty!
So much hyped
@kfergy I suggest you take a train from csmt at 18.00 and go towards thane side you will be able to see actual rush and you will also enjoy in between with natural body massage 😅

Im a mumbai 8 year old I once went on a public train my mom holded my hand for like the whole ride and it was my first time I was so scared I told my mom why are you holding my hand and she said be careful right as she said that a spider came near a guy he saw it he got so scared he fell out the train my mom said that's why I'm holding ur hand I'm just shocked not responding at all until we reached our stop dont worry my mom gave me a mango juice drink and i felt better

Literally every city in world has crowded trains in peak hours but local trains are so called dangerous because its doors are open
Why dont you try and make video on metro system of india
im confused as to why you sound made lol when i literally said the local trains are fine and nothings wrong with them its people who mess it up?
its the same situation with the cars here ppl dont care abt their life they just want to reach early even if its just a matter of second.
Literally 60to70% of Mumbaikars travelling in the train daily just to save there time and money. It’s the most affordable and kinda fastest way of accommodation one could have leaving the Mumbai traffic aside. Literally me travelling in it daily
Thanks for pointing out people's faults. The system just organises itself the way people behave. These just just blame the government if something happens... But in reality it's the people who are careless af.
