That area in your room that you say was like a balcony, in fact used to be a balcony. In a major renovation about 10-15 years ago when the outside of the building was re-clad, the existing balconies were enclosed and the hotel rooms enlarged.

Great video! Really reminded us of our time here. We made a similar video as well but yours provided even more commentary. Can't wait to go back!!

It's a beautiful hotel. Definitely a beautifully updated luxurious classic. The buffet looked amazing btw. I had a laugh at the car crash sound as you entered Man Wah, I hope you weren't charged full price for that meal as I'm sure it wasn't cheap. The nicest bathroom I've ever had in my travels is in a suite at the MOHK. I also have this memory of swimming in an indoor pool on the top level of the MO. I like that indoor balcony space that you had in your room, it's a nice bright but compact area that makes you feel like you are outside. The MO has a lot of competition in Hong Kong nowadays, I loved the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong due to the incredible views, but the MOHK is really a unique classic.

Loved the MOHK it was amazing, yes we had a laugh too at the car crash sound when we put it in! They did remove the food and just charged us for the drinks so that was fair of them. Thanks for watching! ❤️🙏

We are considering booking the MO in the coming weeks but there is something concerning us. The room plan and your video appears to show the toilet completely open to the rest of the room, without a door. Surely not ? Can you clarify please.

@@KeithMacaulay-rp3ch From memory you could close the blinds or screen to the bedroom and then there was a sliding door to the bathroom 👍

Did you get compensated for the meal the night before? Its all very well them apologising but youve paid for more or less a below par meal, not very good considering the hotel of that standard.

Yes they took the food off and charged for the drinks and were apologetic. Well handled we are pleased to say, but embarrassing sorting it out in a Michelin starred restaurant! 😩
