On Saturday afternoon I would load my kids in the van then go pick you and your kids up. Between your house and Saugus Speedway it might occur to one of us to ask what was racing that night. It didn't really matter because we were going anyway. Thanks for watching.
Awesome pictures! I remember going there with my dad and brother as a kid. I have some scans of the pictures from Saugus. I mean the glossy ones that you could buy at the track, not snapshots. One is signed by Bob Hattig, who was a family friend. I could send them to you if you want them. I mean the digital files..the prints have, unfortunately, been lost. Also, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on any digital files of saugus that you might be willing to share.
Those were the days growing up with good people, good food and we went to watch neighbor Wild Bill Foster race on the weekends

Plenty of friends and even some family here. I'm probably even in a few shots !
Pretty sure I saw you in a couple of them...
That was one of the allures of Saugus Speedway - you could see everyone and everything.
Thank you for posting this. Lots of good times and memories.
Thank you for posting Harold , This place was the best
Thank you for the kind comment.

I was hoping to see you at least one picture of my brother Will Harper in a number 96 sportsman car. Back to back sportsman championships.
He appears on page 181 of the Saugus Speedway Scrapbook.
Still miss Saugus...
It was a community center as much as a race track. Most folks living in the area now never knew it as a race track.
Would like to purchase all photos of Ray Hooper and family.
