Hi @sharonkhor7433! It is important to know that our software doesn’t run on Mac unless a Windows Operating system is installed. There are two ways to do that, depending on whether you have an M-chip or another Intel chip Mac. On an Intel Mac it has bootcamp (software for creating virtual machines with Windows) on it for free. But you have to buy a windows operating system and could try to install the software. With M-chip Macs (the newer ones) you would need the paid (annual cost) Parallels software (software for creating virtual machines with Windows) and you can only install Windows 11. At that time we tested the Customizer software on Windows 7 and 8.1 but not on the newer versions and we can’t guarantee that it will work. And we are sorry that we don’t offer support for this product anymore.
Help please. I have the Deco 340 . I have a design that is 8 cm by 8cm but when I place the hoop on the machine is shows the larger hoop . when I did the design I used the A frame but the machine show's the design will not fit. what am I doing wrong? I am using Bernina software cut work for patches work.
Dear Margrieta, we assume that you forgot to change the hoop size in your machine settings. To choose the correct hoop size, simply press the corresponding key on the screen of the deco 340. If this doesn't help please contact your bernette dealer who will be happy to help you. Kind regards
Dear Macarena, he setting depends on the used fabric, thread but also on the embroidery design In general, I would start with the default setting. This is 4 on the Chicago machines. If the lower thread is visible on the top, you can reduce the thread tension.
@@Mybernette Thank you very much, as a newbie I read somewhere that one should use the lowest tension possible to embroider, I reduced it to 1 and I made a huge mess!!! so Im so gratefull for your advice. If I may ask another question. While embroidering with a 3 or 4 tension, the machine makes wonderfull stitches in all directions but one; in a certain diagonal angle it makes loose stitches. so for now Ive solved it turning the design upside down and stitching it like that (but that means loosing the first attempt) any suggestions? have you seen this before? thanks
@@Maca475 The stitch result is influenced by the stitch type and also the stitch direction. To turn the design may help to get a better result or when stitching a larger object adjust the thread tension for this part of the design.
Hi Eileen, it's hard to solve your problem from the distance. Please get in contact with your BERNINA dealer or your local BERNINA country organization: bernette.com/dealersearch). I'm sure the dealer can help you with the embroidery foot.
Basically, if there are no instructions for oiling in the user manual, this should be done by a sewing machine technician. In this case, please contact you dealer.

Hi, I wish to buy this machine but the software come only in cd, my notebook has not a cd input, so I won’t be able to use it. There is another way? Maybe selling the software in a usb or sd card
Dear Denise, when we launched the Customizer Software, most of the computers still had a cd drive. You can use an external CD drive or ask your dealer if he can help and save it on a different data carrier. You can use the following link: www.bernette.com/dealersearch

Hi Amanda, we always use a polyester embroidery thread as it is shiny and causes no problems with thread breakage during the stitching out. For the bobbin we use bobbin fil, available in white or black. A good overview can be found at www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4574/choosing-machine-embroidery-threads/page/all
