it's a french medieval music
@Aryan yeah but they're roman (atleast got now) but yeah
@Aryan Sure 'bout that ?
@Aryan I was talking bout the frenchies not the turks, besides I knew that
This sounds so perfect for like opening of film that takes place in France. Playing while all the productions with logos being brought up and then the film title.
This video is as beautiful as the song.
France is such a beautiful country with an amazing culture and people!

French culture is amazing
This is like a The Witcher set in France
Yeah lots of things in The Witcher are inspired by medieval France.
People often associate medieval times with the UK, but frankly it would be more accurate to associate it with France. France had a lot more influence and importance in medieval time than his over sea neighbour. In fact you could even say that France has set the basis and the image of the middle age.
Yeah I can absolutely hear this playing in Toussaint
@@cernunnos5727 I believe saying that France set the basis and the image of the middle age is a bit of exaggeration. Germans and almost the whole of Northern Europe have the medieval culture and probably when people talk about medieval culture, probably the first thing that will come to their minds will be Germans, not French but that doesn't mean French people are not one of the pioneers of medieval music of Europe. Germans are just more comes to mind when people talking about medieval times and culture. The game of Witcher has more Polish and Tartar motives than medieval songs btw. The Series has more medieval motives.
@@recep2939 of course Germany had also a big influence on the perception of medieval times. However, I think that, when people speak about medieval Germany, they imagine the early modern time with the German renaissance (let's say from the invention of the printing-machinr). While when people about medieval France, the they think about high middle age and late middle age (which is a much broader time period)
The french kingdom was at that time the most powerful kingdom in Europe. French knight set to basics on chivalry (to a point where the Arabs called the crusader knights by the name of "Franks").
French was also the lingua franca (which means "vehicular language" but actually means "french language").
Aswell as for may more reasons.
I think that many people associate medieval times mostly to Germany is due to some factors:
The invention of the printing machine that facilitad the creation durable writings.
And alsohe many Protestants of Europe that fled from France, Italy, etc. to Germany because of the cathloics and brought with them the many folk stories.
One good exemple is "Rotkäpchen" a story brought by french Hugenotts and put on paper by the Grimm broders (there are many more stories).
Maybe also the people who fled from Germany to the US (most americans descend from German migrants) and had that vision of the "new continent" as the place of future and progress and the vision of the "old continent", therefore their homeland Germany, as the symbol of the past and oppression, thus meaning medieval times. This image stayed a long time until WW2.
There are probably many more reasons
@@cernunnos5727 isn't Italian and Latin was lingua franca back in medieval times? All of those thing that you say is after renaissance i believe.
This is a cool Frenchified version of Ai Vist Lo Lop.
Ai Visit Lo Lop is an occitanied version of it. This song seems to come from Burgundy or Brittany

Salve,piacere French neighbor
This is one of the MANY versions of this song. From what I know there is an Occitan Version, Burgundian Version & Breton Version.
Occitan is in the Lengua d'oc, & the rest are in the Langue d'oïl. Personally, I prefer the Occitan version, & highly suggest you listen it.
j'aime vien cette chanson, on doit même l'aprendre en musique!
Another folk song I like and could you do a Swiss folk song
A metal cover of this song would be awesome

Nos i fotèm tot pel cuol
Ai vist lo lèbre, lo rainal, lo lop.
Is it the French version of the Occitan Medieval song "Ai vist lo lop"?
I think it's common song in every french region, because in Brittany (Bretagne) there is the same song in Britton (Breton)
Except in this song they say: "J'ai vu le loup, le renard, le lièvre...."
And in the Breton versioun they say:"J'ai vu le loup, le renard et la belette..."
Hello - I am making a non-profit film and I am wondering about how I might use a small segment of this recording in the soundtrack of my film. Who would and contact and how??

Je les ai vus qu'ils s'embrassaient

Je les ai vus avec une enfant

Merci bon dieu c'était pas la mienne
every french person know "j'ai vue le loup et le renard chanté"
Le loup le renard et la belette yup, but with a lièvre nope
It is even common for medieval music to become folk music over time.
Boy, this rabbit, fox, and wolf dance all around Europe, don’t they?
Who did this cover of J'ai vu Le Loup ? This version is the greatest.
A bunch of Hungarians

It sounds like a Hungarian group called ""Anno Musica".
Who sings this song? What's the name of the performer?
Fun fact, this specific version of the song was sung by Hungarians.
Fun fact that the most popular covers of "j'ai vu le loup" (and its occitan version "ai vis lo lop" are sung by hungurian folk singers (Holloenek Hungurica, Arany Zoltan and Anno Musica).

So I looked up the English translation for this song and come up with a silly question: what happened to the weasel?
Why do French tanks have rear-view mirrors?
So they can see the battlefield!!!!
I’m kidding, I’m proud of my French heritage!!! 🇺🇸❤️🇫🇷
Nope, its to look after the british retreating well and in order (shity pants, can be a mess).
