    Wonderful tips. Thanks. I've over-sown my seed bed, so will have trouble pricking them out. I'm thinking I'll let the seedlings grow until I can see the strongest growers, then prick them out to pot on, perhaps back-filling the seed bed, and repeating as others grow.

      Thanks Dagwould. Pleased that my tips have helped. One way to think of seed beds is that you’re never going to realistically have space for the potentially hundred seedlings to germinate. Be ruthless and prick out the strong ones sooner rather than later. The more congested they get the harder it is. Great to hear your sowing though so keep growing!! Happy gardening. Lee

    I find a chopstick or skewer work well to pull up or separate the seedling.

      Great tip Prairie. There’s so many household items you can use and reuse when gardening!
