I love Euge's tutorials because he doesn't get all pretentious with it. So many guys try to make it seem like there is some secret they just can't share or explain. Euge just tells you what he does and he is honest about when it is something that is more of a feel thing rather than him making it seem like he is "reading tea leaves", etc. Most tutorials like this are just incredibly vague.
Aw man... I JUST wounded the same index finger you did 3 days ago. It SUCKS. Mine was an angle-grinder with a sanding disk. Gouged out my knuckles really deep, I cant bend my finger fully yet. I cant fret unless I de-tune and play index-finger chords. (And I'm not a guy that detunes, I play more classic rock style)
Guitars also need tape saturation, limiter, stereo widener and at least two Fab Filter Pro-Qs. And maybe couple compressing stages. And clipper after them.
Morjens dear Euge! Could you at some point explain a bit how you go about organizing your logic projects? I kinda have a way of doing it nowadays but it was quite a long way to get there and i still feel like there is room for improval as far as having instruments grouped and having the respective mix bus and the fx busses in a group with the instruments themselves. Kiitos and see you at on the rocks hki very soon!🤘🏻
THE best mixing for guitar tutorial i've ever watched. Clear concise and demonstrated with and without the effect/EQ. Thank you! Mark from New Zealand.
Sir, could you please do a mesa boogie dual rectifier amp review when you get a chance? I know you don’t really like them. But would love to hear you play it and be more specific about it. Amazing videos!
Sounds awesome Euge 👍 With the Guitar tracks are you playing 4 individual performances and changing between each amp for each performance or playing through both amps simultaneously as one tone and only doing two performances but sending each amp to a separate track ? Sorry for the long question 👍
Man that sucks I cut the tip of my ring finger off and was in panic mode. I thought I would never be able to play a guitar again. I got all depressed about it.. but after it's been completely healed I could play again, but it was tender for a year. Now it's better than ever😁
@@EugeValovirta230V i actually shattered the tip of my middle and ring fingers and took both nails off. I forgot to mention that incident LOL. 😂 The tip of each finger bone was in three pieces. I had to undergo laser therapy and therapy.for a year. Why did I neglected to mention that one LOL Well I hope you heal quick brother because I love hearing you play.🤟🏻
I love these engineering videos of yours! This was great ❤ Why do you choose to EQ with the SSL instead of say the EQ built-in to Logic? Is it mostly because you have the hardware controller, or maybe so you're forced to use your ear instead of looking at the frequencies?
Glad to hear thanks! I like the simplicity and the way those channel strips sounds. Like the 4K E black knob eq has different sound and curves than the 4K E brown knob eq and 4K B channel strip sounds different than 4K E etc. And those SSL channel strips are like a Marshall JCM800 to me; simple and powerful and I know exactly what each knob does 😎👌.
I've been knocking around some stuff with my strat, and no matter what I do, it's always dark sounding. I've had a hard time EQ'ing without ruining everything.

Thanks man! Really glad to hear this!
I absolutely agree, i feel like Euge is really encouraging when explaning things with this, if it sounds good it is good.
Play good = sound good... and i dont hear shit with my eyes...words of wisdom right there kids ;)
😎👌

Damn. Yeah it sucks. Hopefully it heals fast ’cos I have lots of rehearsals & playing in the near future.
Awesome video! Was that 4 guitar performances, 2 per side? Or 2 performances, 1 per side, with 2 differrent amps?
Thanks! Four performances.
Cool re Tegeler's Creme RC. Reminded me of the Vari Tube Compressor that I was considering last year.
Anyway, appreciate the eq/mix how-to. 👍
Cool, thanks!

😁😁😁
Euge, how do you blend the marshall and the Base knob, do you set a low cut/high cut on the marshall? Do you have the phase flipped?

And may our Ancient Nordic Gods bring great healing to your finger 🙏🏻🇸🇪❤️
Glad to hear! Yes indeed 💪. Thanks!
Please do a In-the-style-of W.A.S.P video. I really love their music and I’d love to learn more about their tone, gear, style, and other stuff. 🙏🙏🙏

"I don't hear shit with my eyes"! Wise beyond your years Euge ;-) LMAO.
For me mixing guitar against bass and making sure they mix well together but can also be heard separately from each other is difficult.
Sounds awesome Euge 👍

Thanks! Four individual performances. It was a great question and not long at all 👌.

Just boost the eq at 3k and 10k
@@Durkhead I have been. Its missing some magic somewhere. Maybe pre. Ill find it. One day. Or ill quit trying to make metal with single coils.
