This was excellent! I watched non stop the whole thing. The bad part was the 30 ads that kept interrupting. It's a bit too technically complicated for me to comprehend in one viewing but will be enormously helpful if i can aquire the tools to do this. My last recordings were on a Roland 8 track which i never adequately figured out. Thanks so much for making and posting this video! You're an incredible musician!

The video wasn't too long Euge. You covered the full spectrum of what needed to be covered bro. For 20 years I've been mixing and then giving music to my friends. I had the mastering software for years that I got for free and didn't realize how to use it. Also I didn't realize that the standard was between -12 to -14 I appreciate that greatly. I have all these great songs now I can finally put them online!

This was fantastic! Thank you! I did watch in one sitting from beginning to end. My biggest take away here was actually less is more. I have so many plugins going on with all my tracks and buses and then on the master bus. I guess I just need to figure out a way to just let go of all of the saturation plugins and eqs and strips and so forth and focus more on the sound going in than what I'm doing in Reaper. Also good point about adding delay and reverb AFTER you record your solo.

Hey Euge, thanks for this video. I'm an enthusiast and a mixing engineer in development, and will start to watch it as soon as possible. I like a lot your tunes (and tones), both here on youtube and Deezer, and would help a lot seeing your methods! Specially the programmed drums, that is where I struggle the most (guitar player here).

EV, this is such a great vid, watched it more than a few times over the last few months. Was wondering if you could do a vid on the next steps after mastering. Such as, bouncing final master and how to arrange songs in album format to upload as album? Thx again.. have a great New Year, all the best! Keep the faith🤘🏻

      Thanks!
Good suggestion and I’m actually planning to do more in depth - videos about the different areas of these processes like mixing templates, mix bus processing, vocal mixing, compression etc. and will add your suggestion on the list as well 👌.
