DIY Loose wall plug trick. Plug inside plug. Fixing a loose stair rail.

This is my way of repairing our loose stair rail. It's been repaired in the past & had bigger plugs fitted but these have now come loose. I couldn't go any wider on the plugs or the screws would then have to go to a bigger gauge and wouldn't fit in the rail holes. This is just to avoid having to repair the wall and make a big mess for the time being, eventually I'll fix the wall when we re-decorate! #diytips #diy #makelifeeasier #sundayjobs #housemaintenance

Not gonna last if that is plasterboard. But will be fine on brick/concrete

Thanks for the comment, yeah it’s brick/block so hopefully will last till next year when we decorate, then I’ll move it slightly & make new holes.
